how is it legal? its activisions IP, they can do whatever they want with it, put peoples PCs at risk? as long as their EULA you agreed to says "we are not responsible for the actions of Call of Duty players" they are bared from legal responsibility
Edit: also as to why Activision doesn't "take the things that make people want the old games" its simple, the things people liked are the opposite of what makes Activision money
people find skins annoying, Activision makes the vast majority of their money of microtransactions
people find the crazy movement annoying, streamers don't and streamers are free attention, which means free money
everything people like about old COD doesn't make the buckets of money Microtransactions and streamers make
how much do microtransactions make? I know someone who's spent over $8,000 in Fortnite, he knows someone who's spent over $12,000, Actvision is worried things like H2M will drag those players away, not players in general, but the big spenders, the whales, because losing even just 1 of them could mean losing thousands of dollars of revenue, if H2M dragged away a single whale, it could cost Activision thousands of dollars
Very fair point! At least now I know that I can report the games through Steam since they break the TOS.
And yeah thats another good point. The people who spend tons of money leaving would be a big concern for Activision. But I think there is a way to monetize the game and make it one that contains content people want. Example: A prestige system (which is apparently in BO6).

For example, BO2 went from R$110 to R$274... An astonishing 250% price increase on a game from 2012
If WAW and BO1-3 were bundled, it would be worth it due to the insane number of custom zombie maps across those four games. The rest aren't worth it for PC.
