Characters in this game make a cameo in the wrestling arena stage in KOFXV. Master Barnes is the one you can instantly see in the back the moment a match starts.
Oh man, SNK titles were my childhood. One of the reasons I didn't get into capcom games much sooner. I just loved the art style of Last Blade, Samsho, KOF, etc.
I loved watching Justin play... the Red dragon? That's Muta!! they even gave him his entrance attire, and his green mist attack! who they trying to play?
I've always wanted a 3 Count Bout team for KOF. Best thing is, there is already three characters on the 3CB's box art that all have friendly rivalry. So, choosing which characters would already be solved.
THIS was the game that I played back when this movie theater near my cousin's house had a Neo-Geo cabinet! Master Barnes out here acting like Robert from King of Fighters too.
I’d like to think Buriki one is a bit of a successor to this game, but instead of breaking your hand, you’ll be dumbfounded at how the joystick is used to attack instead of button+motion
I have heard that this game is basically nothing but SNK cheap boss syndrome so I never played it, lol. But I'm just so happy to see Justin give this game a try; the more experimental fighters out there that DON'T play like Street Fighter was the foundation they built their whole thing on (or Virtua Fighter on the 3D side) are the ones that are hardest to deal with and get good at, but sometimes have great ideas. I really love ADK's Aggressors of Dark Kombat, but it plays SO FREAKIN' CRAZY compared to how you might expect it to. Some people really are blown away by SNK's old Buriki One, which is just completely different to any traditional fighter in terms of controls. Games like those, and 3-Count Bout here, really need some guides to get people into them... but they're always cool to look at!
I don't know how it is to play, but that game was fun as hell to watch. They captured the wrestling aspect of the fights better than just about any game from the era I can think of.
Man...SNK was CRAZY in the 90s! ngl, for the longest time I put this game off because I thought it would just be an inferior Ring of Destruction (a Capcom wrestling-fighting game), but now I'm really regretting my decision to ignore this game because it looks sick!
I love the concept of having a 2D fighting game stage where the two fighters 'enter' from their respective point of view, and gives the impression that there's more beyond what is shown on screen.
The spritework is so beautiful. I love those 90s games that had sprites that aimed for a more serious and realistic character design. Those backgrounds are awesome!
I think that Red Dragon was based on Great Muta. I might be wrong. I remember Gamepro not rating this game high, but this looks pretty good for its time.
Thanks for playing this game. Used to hog this machine during childhood days. Game's about building momentum. You can easily defeat opponents by timing your jumps from the top turnbuckle. After hitting them with 2-3 top turnbuckle jumps, engage them in grapple and your blue meter should be about full. Meter levels determine what attacks you can use ie Ultis (button A+B) can onlu be used if blue meter is at 75% mark. You can input additional button presses to direct pin after Ulti.
This game was at laundry mat by the Compton Swap Meet when I was younger. Never played it, but I remember ol dude slapping his belly. You can never unsee something like that. 😮
Dude I'm a hardcore wrestling fan and I STILL don't know what I'm doing in this game. It's one of those games I try my hand at every few years only to be immediately humbled. (still love it tho)
Of course Justin Wong finds a way to time out someone in a wrestling game LOL This is like if ECW made a fighting ish wrestling game. Surprised I've never heard of it.
Love me some SNK. They just have this anime cool guy vibe about their games. I got so tired of SF after SF Alpha 3 around when it was released on PS, and started getting deep into a lot of the SNK fighters. I love KOF and Fatal Fury to this day, they're my main fighting games I play regularly.
Do you know a game called mutant fighter? You should try to finish that game, it's very challenging, fun and stressful, everything that good old games brought
3 count bout. I remember this game being hard so vividly. Beat my 8 year old ass 6 ways to sunday in the entrance/exit area of a walmart where they kept the SNK cabinet and the claw machine. Good fucking times.
OMG this game reminds me of Saturday Night Slam Masters. If possible can you please make a video on that game. The game has characters that look like Haggar and T-Hawk

Capcom vs snk2 showed how superior the snk art style was.
I loved watching Justin play... the Red dragon? That's Muta!! they even gave him his entrance attire, and his green mist attack! who they trying to play?
Great Muta was a legend in Japan. Especially in the Mid 90's . This was an homage to him from SNK.
Yes! Noticed that immediately too.
Was looking for this comment! Now, I'm wondering, is "T. Rogers" a mix of both Nature Boy(s)? Buddy Rogers by name and Ric Flair by appearance?
This was my childhood! Cheers for playing this Justin! Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Wow. is there like an infinite amount of fighting games out there? Justin is essentially a fighting game anthropologist.
And that's without taking into account the many, many, many Jank games that are out there
Everyone wanted in on the SF2 fighting game boom
@@truindividual yeah they are pretty much, "Oh me tooo!"
Red Dragon is clearly a takeoff of Great Muta. Game looks cool

That Romero Special saving Justin's life!!! 😂
At 8:10, the dude goes into the audience, picks up the Donald, and throws him at you. This is what peak performance looks like.

That is hella weird
@@truindividual buttons move, joystick attacks. Lol.
Not even joking.
The sprite work on these games is so crazy!
I always loved old Wrestling Games, because there's no licenses involved they can go wild with the rooster and mechanics.

Looks great but hard AF
Aggressors of Dark Combat and Ninja Masters deserve an honourable mention if you like this game.
Great video my guy. I love all the animations with the fighters in this one.
I love the concept of having a 2D fighting game stage where the two fighters 'enter' from their respective point of view, and gives the impression that there's more beyond what is shown on screen.
Those are quite detailed sprites

Jamaicans call it Tree Count Bowt.
I think that Red Dragon was based on Great Muta. I might be wrong. I remember Gamepro not rating this game high, but this looks pretty good for its time.
That is 100% Muta
Yo!! you had me dying with your commentary! Also blubber man getting counted out was hilarious...this playthrough was Godlike
Thanks for playing this game. Used to hog this machine during childhood days.

Barnes and Rogers are the guys in the KOF XV GAW Team stage
Body!! Pressssssssss! 💪
A wrestling game is like a horror game to Justin. 🤣🤣🤣
Which is funny since he's a wrestling fan! lol
Absolutely beautifully done! Masterful work. Bloody blistery fingers ftw!
I loved this game back in the arcades, Red Dragon was my boy!
If done right, would love to see this game fixed up a bit, bigger roster, better balance. There was always potential here.
10:50 man im sorry you look like Arale from Dr. Slump from that angle 😂
Love u man!!
1:20 *YOGA FLAME* 🔥
The red dragon is supposed to be the great muta right down to the ring entrance and the green mist
Dude I'm a hardcore wrestling fan and I STILL don't know what I'm doing in this game. It's one of those games I try my hand at every few years only to be immediately humbled. (still love it tho)
THIS WAS THE GAME!!! This gen don't know nuthin bout it!!
Ha Ha! Great video Justin. I really thought you were gonna quit during the electricity stage.
Of course Justin Wong finds a way to time out someone in a wrestling game LOL This is like if ECW made a fighting ish wrestling game. Surprised I've never heard of it.

Blubber man was a bit of a deadweight 😂. Awesome game GOAT reminds me of the good old days in the Arcades 😊
WWF wrestle fest and blazing tornado are my favorites wrestling games in arcade ever!
I remember this one. I played it a lot. Me too I used to take Red Dragon most of the times.
These wrestling games were they created original characters were so cool these are some amazing artists that created this game
Its like the first slammaster but better
2:45 Oh its a Last Man Standing match...😮
the pop off at the ring out was so great 😄
Red Dragon is obviously The Great Muta. How can nobody not see this.😂
Wow, Red Dragon is literally just The Great Muta.
Grappling with Wong. It's wrestling game bro.
For real… 🤦
🔥 brother
Justin: I Hate Grapplers!.........*plays wrestling game*
those damn grapplers are back at it again!
So it’s obvious that the Red Dragon is clearly the Great Muta right?
Wow, the references to real wrestlers, the red dragon looking like a young great muta
Red Dragon Reminds me of The Great Muta when he was in WCW also the Final Boss Looks a Little like Sting
Red Dragon looks suspiciously like The Great Muta.
9:01 *Master Barnes = Brock Lesnar/Abigail Fusion*
I've got a Sealed version of 3 Count Bout for the Neo Geo since 2008. Sealed because I don't have a Neo Geo yet and probably will never get one.
Nice is it for the MVS or AES?
These days I found a 3DO/NeoGeo fighting game named The Eye of Typhoon. Instantly I think about you playing. Give it a chance!
Do you know a game called mutant fighter? You should try to finish that game, it's very challenging, fun and stressful, everything that good old games brought
Red Dragon is 💯 the Great Muta, we even got the "Green mist! "
Justin be having flashbacks from Michael Cole
Never seen this game in action.
have you ever played Violent Storm? the controls are much deeper than expected, plus it's just a goofy af game
Game was like "yo I heard you think you're good at mashing"
10:33 *THE CHAMP IS HERE!!!*
3 count bout.
I remember this game being hard so vividly. Beat my 8 year old ass 6 ways to sunday in the entrance/exit area of a walmart where they kept the SNK cabinet and the claw machine.
Good fucking times.
This is like 4.99 online. I cant imagine playing this hard ass game on an actual MVS cab
OMG this game reminds me of Saturday Night Slam Masters. If possible can you please make a video on that game. The game has characters that look like Haggar and T-Hawk
That teenage mustache is coming in nicely
Red Dragon? That’s just the Great Muta!
godlike looks fun got to be tried from mashing to get out of the pin lol.
One of the Neo titles I don't touch and I'm a hardcore SNK/Neo Geo fanboy.
This game brings some good and also awful memories
When Ring of Destruction, tho? :)
Red Dragon aka Great Muta
Holy crap, the champion is Dutch... though he doesn't even have a Dutch name.
Flip that turbo fire switch bro!
One thing is feeling your arms tired and other completely different is having your fingers broken ok.
Red Dragon is definitely The Great Muta!
Red Dragon is basically Muta 😂
Even though SNK never Made another sequel to this game but the character s do have a stage on King Of Fighter's 15.
Justin Wong I don't know if you've heard about it but tomorrow will be a Street Fighter 6 showcase I think it's the final one.
lmao one of the enemies pulled someone off screen like r mika to body justin 😂
I played this game before and after the 4th fight, I tapped out. Slam Masters felt so much better to play
This game looks awesome I probably have it on my PC I have to look
Yo Justin, you gonna play some Saturday Night Slam Masters?
That's definitely not the Great Muta and John Kenta
No laming out in 3 count bout! (Well apart from that count out)
It’s still real to me, dammit! It’s still real to me!
Red Dragon hi-key look like the Great Muta
This game feels rigged because no matter how hard I mashed it felt like it didn't matter. Otherwise I think this game is cool
that looks like a tekken king submission
There is nothing funnier then telling your wife/girlfriend you broke your finger from a big gaming day. 😅😅😅😅
This game looks so sick :D
why u didnt activate turbo in your stick instead of mashing
Beat the champ clean and in the middle of the ring? Pulls it off with a pin too. That’s good booking.
Well, this game just came out of left field.
Damn fingers weren't broken 😅😔
Three count bout jajajajaja juegazo, ibas en la cuarta pelea y tus dedos ya estaban mega candados de tanto botonazo
