An easier way to do this would be to drill holes through your board and put in LED lights with a battery pack behind the pieces. I did a Christmas sign that way. No electrical experience necessary.
@@KMF3 I just asked my husband and he said that for one, he didn’t want to risk the battery running low. He also planned to use lithium batteries but found that if they’re improperly charged they could burst into flames (yikes!). AND he thought that if someone buys that piece, the batteries would be more of a hassle, the piece being heavy and difficult to maneuver.

My husband was considering that at first … but something caused him to change his mind, maybe the battery pack was going to be too large? Hmm…
@@dorothealeblancart well I don't know about when you did this but nowadays the battery packs for those lights are extremely small.
