True. Obi-Wan's record is far from impressive. He got his ass handed to him TWICE by Dooku, and it was only a miscalculation by Anakin that prevented him from a third humiliating defeat.

Not really he pretty much killed himself by turning himself to the dark side with palps help to that's when Vader was born and anakin wasn't really dead inside his own Bodie because somehow he came back to the light side but he was pretty much dead.
Nah I think Obi wan and Yoda would wait for Luke and Leia being ready and then engage the Emperor and his apprentice in a 4 vs 2 and win easier.

Here are some reasons I can think of:
1. Because if they had bought Luke and Leia to fight the emperor and failed then there wouldn't have been much hope left in the galaxy (I doubt Yoda and Obi-Wan would have wanted to risk the lives of the children).
2. If Leia and Luke had been there, they may have got in the way of the more experienced fighters or even get disarmed and caught by Sidious and used as a bargaining chip to make Yoda and Obi-Wan surrender. Remember, force potential isn't a substitute for decades of experience.
3. Sidious is a master manipulator, there is the chance that he could have turned Luke and Leia to the dark side. Yoda and Obi-Wan would know this from seeing Jedi such as Count Dooku and Anakin be turned to the dark side.
Plus Obi wan wouldn't be able to sit and duel Palpatine for a day. Imo Palpatine would have killed him by then but Yoda would still win after Kenobi was overpowered.
@@billclark5055 yeah, remember that technically yoda kinda sorta... ish... fought palpatine to a draw. so someone as skilled as obiwan would be able to make enough of a difference for yoda to take the win here.

I doubt it. Yoda isn't even a person, he's a green midget! That alone can give anyone a massive inferiority complex no matter how discipline they are. And if you add the fact that Anakin is the only person in Jedi history to have a higher midi-clorine count than him, it could wind up really bruising his ego.
What went through my head was what if darth maul informed Palpatine of anakin's uniqueness, as even though he doesn't know about the midi chlorine count or how he was born, he could more than likely sense that he has potential and is much different than anything else he or palpatine have discovered before. Maybe maul would seek out and capture anakin on his own and raise a secret apprentice, or palpatine would do the same and train anakin from a child to the dark ways of the force and have him cut down maul as a right of passage.... HMMMM... I hope Stupendous considers these things :D

charles townsend Yes but most Sith apprentices were loyal to their masters at beginning. Maul was sent by the Emperor to Tatooine to kill Anakin, i guess at that point Maul wanted to accomplish the task more than anything else, to obtain his master's confidence.
I believe you are wrong about a few things, and they lead to the end result being the opposite. Palpatine wins if Vader dies. Vader was not the reason Luke and Leia were separated. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda assumed Anakin died on Mustafar. Thus, their actions would not have differed. They feared that Luke and Leia's combined force sensitivity would be a beacon to Palpatine, not Vader, and so would still have separated them. Obi-Wan would have still ended up on Tatooine and Leia on Alderaan with Bail. Also, Palpatine always has a new apprentice in mind. With Vader dead, he would still have one at the ready, and while it might take a while to train him up to be a Jedi killer, I don't think Palpatine would ever have resorted to hunting Jedi himself. He is too smart for that and would know that the better play is to send others to do it for him. Consider the fact that Palpatine NEVER instigated a fight with a Jedi in all the canon. There is no reason he would start now. Thus, things would have happened exactly as they did in the movies, except Vader would be replaced by a different Sith. And that would be the Jedi's undoing. Luke, with such little training that he received in the haste the movies caused, would have been killed by Vader's replacement, since the Sith Lord would not be weakened by a connection to Luke. The Sith Lord would not have suggested that they capture Luke as Vader did, and the Bespin Trap would lead to Luke's death. Yoda would have died of old age still, and the weak old Obi-Wan would have been slayed on the Death Star by the Sith Lord. The Jedi become extinct and Palpatine wins.
Make your own video then man, I thought Stupendous was pretty spot on.
First of all, Palpatine wanted Vader as his apprentice because of how unbelievably powerful he was. Palpatine planned to keep the super powerful Sith as his servant, so why would he win if Vader died? It is unlikely that any replacement Palpatine found would be as powerful as Vader is. Thus, Obi-Wan would likely have been able to defeat an inferior Sith Lord. Obi-Wan didn't die in the movie because he was weak (he probably still would have lost, but the fight could have gone on much longer), he sacrificed himself because he knew Luke would never leave without him, so he ended the fight by letting Vader kill him thus ensuring that Luke would leave. Even if Obi-Wan couldn't beat the replacement Sith, Luke on Bespin could prove more than a match for the wannabe considering he managed to hold his own against Vader for a time. Also, there's no way of knowing the abilities of this replacement Sith. Would he have personally flown in the Batle of Yavin like Vader did? If so, there's no way in hell he's as good a pilot so he might get shot down. If not, than he would die in the Death Star explosion with Tarkin. Also, you fail to account for Leia, who escaped. Obi-Wan's and Yoda's spirit could still guide her, considering she's supposed to have just as much potential as Luke. Also, you assume that replacement Sith would come up with the same plans as Vader. There are so many possible variables that it's impossible for your argument to hold any ground.

To all the people that don't, you must at least recognize that he is right saying that the reason that Luka and Leia were seperated was because of Palpatine, not because of Vader. When Yoda and Obi-One decided to seperate Luka and Leia, they didn't know Vader was still living.
The reason I agree with the rest of what Sirius Vader says is because I think that the sudden change of alignment of Vader was the main reason the Emperor lost. Thus ultimately, it was good that Vader lived. Also, I don't really see the problem of the Emperor having an inferior apprentice that might have died. It's not like Palpatines life depends on how well his apprentice is doing.

Completely agreed. Anakin was the one prophesied to bring balance to the force, which he did. Kill him early, and the dark side was prophesied to win.

What I don't understand is that, if Obi-Wan saw Anakin as having been killed by Darth Vader, then wouldn'5 he want to strike down "Vader" as he burned? My thinking is either he didn't come to believe that until between episode 3&4 or he actually left him to burn because he wanted Vader (not Anakin) to suffer.

He didn't kill him because it is not the Jedi way to strike down an unarmed opponent, as said in episode 3 by Anakin to Windu who was about to strike down an unarmed Sidious.

What if the Confederacy discovered Dooku was manipulating them, and got rid of him? I'd like to see more stuff from the Confederacy's POV overall.
They knew all along and wanted to leave after year 2 of the war but dooku would not allow it.
In Episode 3, the Pauans consult Obi Wan and ask for his help when he infiltrated Utapau. They knew (not in the Clone Wars animated series, that was early, like right after episode 1 and 2), but were afraid of Dooku's retaliation. He basically made examples of traitors and basically controlled the droid armies with Grievous and Asajj, who could activate and deactivate droids at will with a command code.
The Trade Federation joins the Republic against the CIS, the CIS gets rekt at Geonosis, the Clone Wars don't happen because the Trade Federation pretended to be part of the Separatists but turned on the other rebel groups and dealt out massive casualties, thusly the Republic wins this. Then Revenge of the sith happens way faster, but Pong Krell, Luminara's apprentice, and other traitor Jedi don't betray the order, then Palpatine gets killed because Windu and Yoda ganged up on him.

Palpatine is a coward that, had Anakin not arrived, would have died to Mace Windu and would have lost to Yoda had his guards and the clones not been on there way. Palpatine is NOT as powerful as you make him out to be, he showed his cowardice and lack of strength by resorting to killing his master in his sleep. You keep saying how weak Plagiues actually was but if that is the case and you think the Emperor is so strong then why does Palpatine not know for sure if he killed his master and why did he have to attack him in his sleep. I always interrupted that as a planned out scenario. Palpatine plans everything out as we seen in ROTJ. He knew he needed to be in a vulnerable position in order for Anakin to be pushed into sparing his life. Remember, Mace wanted to destroy him, but Anakin rushed in to save him because Anakin knew Palpatine was the only one to save Padme. Palpatine was playing this like a fiddle the whole time.
Rebel Scum except he had no guarantee that Anakin would show up and no guarantee that Anakin would spare him, even Anakin said they should imprison him, what if Mace had agreed? Also Vaapad was in full effect for Mace meaning the stronger Palpatine gave into the Dark Side, the stronger he was actually making Mace. So no, too many variables in this situation unlike the one in ROTJ, that one was very VERY simple to orchestrate

I think he did survive, at least according to the Star Wars Rebels series, which seems to be canon as a character from it is mentioned in the video.

In Rebels it's nowhere to be seen or heard that he survived.
He would probably go into hiding for 50 years and come back as Finn in Episode VII.
He'd kill Sidious and keep Anakin from turning to the Dark Side. And probably would've strongly considered making Anakin a full fledged master after the war was ended..
Or he'd defeat Anakin in a duel, and then killed Sidious afterwards (kind of like the movie game). Either way, bye-bye Palpy.

Mon Mothma, Leia, and all the very important people who put the Alliance together were on Yavin, where they thought hey would be safe because of the ruins and "abandoned" features. However, Luke's force and the increased activity made it plain to see where the Rebels were, so the Death Star headed that way. It would most likely result in the Alliance splitting into separate sects instead of the Empire (Pentastar, etc). Anyways, you are basically right, just that every major leader (including Ackbar) were there. Not all were shown, but they were there in the background (according to EU and Lucas).
The thing is Luke, and Han would still theoretically survive. I wonder what they would do to save the galaxy. Luke would be a far more aggressive character and conceivably turn to the dark side.
Erik Heini they actually would have been finished off by the TIE Fighters and other Imperial defenses had they not been able to get away. But if they had, I believe that Luke would join the Grey Jedi, neither Sith nor Light (they are canon now from Rebels :D). Han would most likely go back to smuggling, but cut ties from the Empire. So yeah, Luke would certainly become more aggressive and even attempt to assassinate Vader and Sidious himself with some other Grey Jedi as they would most likely storm the Death Star. And the Grey Jedi consist mostly of Jedi who survived Order 66 and lost so many friends that anger consumed them, but they still had light inside, or Jedi Temple Guards that were swayed by the Dark Side as they saw their home fall. One of the two.

While I agree it is unlikely the Emperor would have done it himself, Im pretty sure Darth Maul sided against the Emperor in the Galactic Civil War. I reckon Palpatine would have hired bounty hunters to kill the remaining Jedi.

I've got an idea for a "What if?" video. One where the Jedi discovered the existence of the Death Star plans before the Republic fell. Poggle the Lesser stated in "Attack of the Clones" that if the Jedi found out what the Separatists were planning to build, they were doomed.
