Kylo wouldn't turn back to the light side. He killed his dad WITHOUT his idol, now imagine if Vader was there to intimidate/inspire him. No way Leia and Han survive.
Parker Seymour as we saw in "The Force Awakens", Kylo had trouble killing his father. He struggles with that fact although he may put up a façade of being proud of it. In "The Last Jedi" it was made more clear about that thought process when he could have very easily killed Leia, but his punk ass was too much of a momma's boy to do so lol. I think SW is on to something with his explanation, but I do think you are correct also in that likely Han Solo would probably die whether at the hands of Kylo or Vader.

that doesn't any sense. Kilo Ren actually murdered Han Solo in real canon without his favorite role model influencing him, so why in the what if story that changes? Vader is actually alive and guiding him in person. If Kilo would kill his family for a stranger(Snoke), he would definitely kill for a family member that he idolizes.
Bullshit Kylo killed his own father without Vader being there. In a scenario where Vader would actually be there with Kylo would make Kylo a lot more evil. Even with both parents there to save him i doubt he would betray Vader

6:47 Why would Vader call him Kylo? In this continuity, that name makes no sense. He would instead have given him a Sith name preceded by the title of Darth, or even some other name, but surely not the exact same name that someone else gave him in the real continuity.
KingOfShadows1500 As in Ledgends many Sith rebirthed when the joined the Sith Order and choose the new name. Then (I’ll use Dessel/Bane as a example) Bane had to go through training for years and earn the name Darth. When Bane made the Rule of 2 they got the name Darth but still choose their new name. As Sidious was alive, like Bane, Vader’s Apprentice Was just named Kylo by Ben but not yet a Darth. Like The Huntress in Ledgends when Bane replaces Zannah, The Huntress choose the name Cognus but wasn’t Darth Yet. It goes under the rule of 2 and the Sith transition.

Without the death of the Emperor, I find it difficult to believe that the Empire would've ever fragmented. I also find it difficult to believe the Emperor would've allowed the Rebels to seize control of the galaxy, it doesn't seem to be his character.
Facts. Destroying the Death Star, yet leaving the emperor alive and the thousands of star systems he controlled would’ve done nothing to stop Sidious. Out of his thousands of Star Destroyers, he didn’t even lose twenty. Palpatine would’ve had the same control he did before arriving at the Death Star
Tons of good scenarios and three of them are: What if Luke killed Vader on the Death Star II? What if the first Death Star successfully destroyed Yavin 4? What if young Anakin was never found by Qui-Gon?
With that last one, Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars without Anakin.
Concerning the last one: since in the EU, Darth Plagueis and Sidious knew about a child born from the Force and after Palpatine killed his Master, he might have gone to search for Anakin to look for a Sith Apprentice. He'd get trained the same way Darth Maul was... The story would follow the same way after that, I think.. A similar scenario (but way more interesting) could be: what if the Emperor found out about Leia when she was a child?

The second suggestion was covered in the graphic novel Star Wars: Infinities Omnibus. It also covers if Luke died on Hoth (The Empire Strikes Back) and if the plan at Jabba's Palace went wrong (The Return of the Jedi).
You do realize that the legendary dark vayder would be way better at corrupting Kylo and training him not to mention he is family so why would Kylo choose the light over him

I think that kylo and vader would have killed them both and crushed the Rebels because just like in episode 7 if kylo had the strength to kill his father you shouldn't have a problem killing his mother and letting vader to finish his father off.

The image from 1:07 is in Madame Tussaud; I've been in that room. Its quite realistic and there are no barriers so you can sort of hold Vader's lightsaber whilst he is duelling Luke.

Thank you SO MUCH for these Star Wars "What If?" videos! I have always been disappointed at there only being 3 alternate universe stories for the franchise. But you came on TH-cam and put together these deeply explored and true-to-the-core AU stories for the whole world to see. Your creativity added many unique and original elements that caught my interest. Heck, you're slowly making me think differently about the sequels.

the problem that caused most of my disagreement would be how you didn't account Vader's new suit
I think it would play out differently at the cave if Kylo did turn to the light Leah would be the one cut down. See although Leah might thave been strong in the force Vader had the superior Speed,Mobility,Strength,ect. Vader would most likely survive the cave,if Kylo stayed Darth Vader would have also survived as Kylo didn't attack.
That's just how I thought it would go down in the cave.

I think Luke would have gone to the where the Rebels were regrouping. Vader would taken Han, Leia, Chewie and told the Rebels to surrender Luke or they will die. The Rebels wouldn't want to give up Luke, but he would surrender himself anyway. With no formal training Vader would have easily turned Luke and taken him on as his apprentice. Together they would have killed Palpatine, Vader becomes Emperor, until Luke betrays him as is the way of the Sith. Then Luke marries Mara Jade, has his own son and the cycle would continue.

Wow, this alternate history of Star Wars are much better than the original history of Star Wars. It would be far harder for the First Order to rise again in this alternate scenario since Kylo Ren in the end would turn back to the light side and become Ben Solo again and turned against his evil grandfather.
That would not happen. Vader is not that naive. Also i don't think kylo would've chosen the light.
One correction: Ben Solo wouldn't become Kylo Ren in this scenario, beacouse he would be a Sith and not a Knight of Ren.
Plus, Ben has no chance to turn back here. If he killed his father and (almost killed) his mother in the canon story, then he would surely maul them with Vader (his idol) standing next to him.

This could have benefited from some dialog between Palpatine and Vader over the rule of two and Sith succession traditions. Something like "I'm not even disappointed that it has come to this. The rule of two dictates that for the student to become a master he must kill his own teacher. Consider this your true final test. Either you succeed, or you die."
WHAT IF OBI WAN WASN'T SEPARATED FROM QUI GON AND THEY DISPATCH MAUL....& anakin becomes qui gons padawan??

WHAT IF: The Star Forge wasn't completely destroyed; perhaps there would be enough production capacity left within to begin repairing itself even as the New Republic fleet left, assuming it was crippled forever?
What if Vader killed his son? He'd still be dead in a couple of minutes. Everyone seems to forget that Lando was already on a bombing run toward the Second Death Star's core.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get what is different this go around than what happened in episode 7. What stops Kylo from killing Han and now Leia? I feel like he still would've killed them both. After all, you said Kylo was still the same person.

Leia sending him away to train with Luke at age 10. Han not being around because he was a part of the new government. Same for Leia because she was crucial in the development of the new Republic. The kid just wanted someone to notice him and he's sent away. Then in a span of 9 years you get snoke who sways him to the dark side because of all his rage and anger to his shitty parents(Ben was 19 when he destroyed Lukes academy in TFA novel). Snoke gave him something that he felt he never had a father figure to guide him or inspire him to be the best he could be.

Two things ... I don't think Kylo would have been named Kylo in this scenario. His name comes from the Knights of Ren, which is not affiliated with the Sith. He likely would have taken on a "Darth" name as did the Sith before him. Secondly, I was with you up until Kylo turns on Vader. He has demonstrated that he is more than capable of killing his parents when he killed Han, and that was with the likes of Snoke pulling him into the dark side. Imagine if Vader himself had been training Kylo all along. I like these "what if" scenarios but they only make sense if the characters are true to the performance in canon story lines.

Alex Avasiloaei Dude... Luke is more important.. You'll understand in future parts of Star Wars.. I guess that Luke would finish Rey's Jedi Knight training.. Then Rey's children would finish their trainings and the number of Jedi would slowly rise.. When the numbers are big they would start to battle Sith Lords and their apprentices... And the next Jedi generations would continue to battle against the Dark Side.. Alive Luke and the already existing storyline in the film will bring us more action in the future of this film.. There is absolute no chance the Emperor, after all those decades of careful planning, would abandon his Empire and allow the filthy Rebels to take over.
The Battle of Endor would be a significant loss, but it’s redundant without the actual deaths of the Emperor and Lord Vader.

What if Kylo Ren killed Luke during his assault on Luke's academy? What if Finn never betrayed the First Order? What if Darth Maul defeated both Qui Gon and Obi-Wan in Naboo? What if Anakin never told Windu about Palpatine's true self? What if the cloner army was never constructed in the first place? Who would stand up to the CIS?

Can you do a "What if Kylo Ren didn't kill Han Solo?" I guess it probably wouldn't be soon, but after episode VII and IX come out. Or could could do a part I that is the short term consequences and a part II that is the long term once the rest of the movies come out.

I don't think that Ben Solo would become Kylo, since he is under Vader, he would take on the title "Darth" and become a sith lord. I also see know reason for him to save his parents since he killed his father in the actual story line anyway. Everything else you said leading up to that made sense and seemed plausible. Here's an idea...
"What if Luke had gone with Bail Organa and Leia to Tatooine?"
What if: Anakin had become Vader, yet had not lost his light side but kept it secret. Based on the idea that like Dooku he had seen the republics and Jedi's failings. But did see a future of misery where only the dark side ruled and one where there was a balance still under the empire. What if he was a strong enough anomoly to allow for this balance to exist and thus prevent most of the grief the empire created?

Keep in mind that ROTJ was released 22 Years before ROTS so the Plotlines of the Prequels were a Mystery Back then.

I can't see Kylo turning on Vader for his parents, Lea and Han in this version have abandoned him, making him feel alone and cast aside, meanwhile Vader, the man he looks up to more than any other has given him the attention he desires.

I wouldn't think Ben would go by his Knights of Ren name, as that wouldn't exist. Nor would he habe a sloppy, broken lightsaber under Vader's training.
