    I love them. I have the hd7 engine in my defender max and it’s a torque monster. Plenty of juice in the single cylinder. I can’t imagine it in a atv. It’s the smoothest and quietest single I’ve ever been around. If been really debating going back to atvs and this exactly model you picked up is high on my short list. Only problem is can’t seem to find one right now.

    Great vid! I bought the HD7 pro xu and love it way more than my Honda Rubi.
    Did you have to take the back rack off to fit the box and do you find the box good quality and durable. Does the box bounce around at all? Cheers from Alberta 🍻

      No I didn’t take the rack off. It’s sits in there with the Qlink system. Doesn’t bounce around whatsoever.

    So I adjusted the shocks and feels much better.

      I did the same on my Pro XU HD7 and it made quite a difference. A lot smoother now. I will save the stiffer settings for when I’m loaded down or towing.

      Smart! Canams have friggin squeaky bushings, lousy shocks and lousy clutches. Gotta throw $1,500 extra at them just to make them tolerable,

      @@BC_Hunter I’ve owned a 2008 800 Outty and currently own a 2017 1000R XT-P. The 2008 actually handled better than the 2017. So unless they also changed the frame on the 2023…. I can’t see me buying another. They’re way too tippy.

  • @Dusdaddy

    Congrats! That does look good. Can't wait until mine arrives. I have an odd question for you: what's the dimension from the center of the rear wheel to the farthest point in the front? The bumper I guess. Also, what's the tire track dimension, outside to outside? I ask because i want to see if I have enough room to load it on my Diamondback bed cover. Also, good note about the springs. I figured they were going to be much stiffer since this has the best ground clearance. For the slow technical trails I ride, I go to the softer settings and even remove the sway bar to get max travel. Looking forward to more video!

    • @BC_Hunter
      @BC_Hunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll try and measure for you tomorrow. Online the width says 47.8". Wheelbase says 53". Length online say 86.7".

    • @Dusdaddy
      @Dusdaddy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BC_Hunter Yeah, I know it's a strange measurement (front bumper to rear axle) but because I will load it on top of my bed cover, I need to know if the rear wheels fit on the top before the front bumper hits the back of the cab. I need it to be 70" or less.

    • @BC_Hunter
      @BC_Hunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dusdaddy Ok so I measured as best as I could with a tape measure by myself. From the middle of the rear center tire to the part that sticks out the furthest on the front bush bar is approximately 70”.

      Yes it has its own selectable front locker. It also has auto lock in regular 4 wheel drive. I’ve only had to use the front locker once up in the Yukon on a hunting trip. Crazy terrain and it had no problem. It’s an amazing machine. Very happy with the purchase.

    what's the break in period please? We just picked ours up today and we were told there wasn't really a break in period.. Thanks

    • @BC_Hunter
      @BC_Hunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They suggest 75kms for belt break in. Keep it under 30kms and in L gear. Don’t go the same speed all the time. Also, for every hour of riding, let it cool for 30 minutes. I guess too much heat during initial belt break in “could” do belt damage.
      For complete Engine break in, they suggest 300kms (including the 75km belt break in) of adjusted speeds with no more than 3/4 throttle power. I believe they talk about it in the manual book included.

    curious as to difference performance wise, between this and XT model. Reviews say different clutching and gearing on some models, I like this model but wondering if its slower than XT 700. And if so is it actually snappier in the bottom and mid range?

    • @BC_Hunter
      @BC_Hunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So this model and the XMR have a 10% gear reduction. Lots of low to mid end torque. I dragged raced my buddies Grizzly 700 and beat him in sports mode. It’s still moves very good. You won’t be disappointed!

    I wonder if the pro is stiffer than xt because its preloaded more on stiff setting or if its different springs and shocks all together i really want the pro but i want the soft ride of the xmr or xt ..... would you happen to know? If its same springs and shocks just adjusted stiffer then i would get pro and put it back to soft?

      @@freddyw4555 I wanted a single cylinder with Front locker. The extra engine braking also helps when towing a heavy trailer and going down steep inclines in the bush during hunting season. I also like the the three different selections of braking to choose from depending on what kind of ride I'm going on. Kind of like choosing your 3 options for power steering. Overall, I've been nothing but impressed with it so far after over a year of riding and putting it through some extremely challenging terrain.
