In this interview with Zaya Benazzo from SAND Italy, Ellen Emmet talks about the relationship between self-enquiry and the exploration of the body through tantra. Responding to a question about trauma, she makes the distinction between spiritual bypassing and the understanding of the source of the bodymind as the absolute truth. Let's not become infatuated by trauma, she says. We are not exploring trauma so we can be liberated. We are already free.

to hear "i don't know", so valuable
Thank You. Very beautiful, honest and helpful
bodies? Sweet Mother Aurobindo mentioned that when she saw that when she went deeply into the body she found that all the cells were singing "I am eternal" So how to live in/as the awareness of manifested Eternity, Infinity down to the cellular level?
I feel happy

All is One - God is One.
Who are we ? Why are we born?
What is this universe ? Who created this universe and why ?
Can you ask these questions to yourself even without the need of any language at all ? This is when you need to introspect within self.
The body can be said to be "the matrix of all divine possibility appearing as form in our world". What we call "our world" is what we know as "the world of time and space". When we use the word "world" we also need to notice that we are talking from and about a mode of perception associated with, corresponding with the present level of our consciousness. Ordinarily our mode of perception with its corresponding level of consciousness only sees itself in part and therefore partially. Consider that Zen tells us "form is emptiness and emptiness is form" or Rumi says: "I have seen the two worlds are One." Here both these descriptions are referring to the manifest world and the apparently unmanifest world. What is manifest and what is apparently Unmanifest is dependent on the level of consciousness that is looking and if it as of yet doesn't know and see itself in toto; it sees only the part and thinks that the part is the whole. It sees an aspect and take that aspect to be the totality of the whole. Such stuff as uncleared shock and trauma in the consciousness needs to be cleared or healed to allow for a more clear seeing of "what is" in that what is what.
the true body is like an apple whose skin is the stars around us.
It's funny because "Emmet "= Truth in Hebrew
❤️
If there’s a true body then there’s a false body. Sounds pretty duel.
Dual.
You will see it no matter what you hear if your mind is split.
@@colski3333 Oh! You're SO clever!! Here's a gold star!
If you didn't want me to see anything why did you look into anything?

I don’t know sounds like the play of Ego mind in denial of what is.
I was trying to convey that when we reply with an answer of “ I don’t know “ it may be a form of denial. For example you have an experience of epiphany your body mind ego/intellect goes into the seeker mode instead of just accepting it for what it is. The experiencing of Knowing seeks not!
It sounds like a form of Buddhism... in an eclectic way.
i often wonder if "tantra, tantric" is still a useful set of concepts... like "ego" the terms have lost their meaning through over- and mis-use ... there are simpler english words to convey these understandings
Andria Jobin the illusion of being a separate self is the concept usually translated as ego . ahankara ... ego in english is colored by freud, by use as egotistical .. maybe simply individuality is enough
Andria Jobin
i agree with you .. my feeling is based on my practice, i don't think i can ever "kill the ego" but i certainly feel that i can lose the sensation of being a separate self ..
maybe we don't need this concept at all !! :-) .. just keep meditating
not sure...too vague for my taste
Spiritual materialism.
My friend Ian doesn't like her husband.
This woman displays artificial and unauthentic behaviour, I don't see awakened spirituality. Nice hair though.
not really :) she seems quite connected. well done to her.
nice title, a reality that mystics know, but so far science has no clue
Ruby Badilla do you distinguish between awareness and consciousness?
@Ruby Badilla what is FISH? Could you provide a link to the teachings/philosophy please. I'm interested
@Ruby Badilla Yes that's why I was asking for more information on it as what you wrote intrigued me. Thank you for the clarification on where to find the teachings . Much love
