- *Made this video after watching Augustana's Boston music video. Frankly, Augustana's video is cool as it gets, but couldn't help but wish there was more, especially a story or a plot behind all those waves crashing into the band members. Something was missing.
So, kinda decided to make a visual mashup of the fantastic song with some clips! :) This is a tribute to Augustana! and to Daria Werbowy! and to the brilliant Jordan Scott!

This song reminds me of my life, my wife,....We met in Utah, she was from boston, she stole my heart and went back to boston....I followed... After getting here I found out my mom had cancer and lost her battle five years ago....Boston was a new beginning to my life. Boston is now my home

Such a romantic idea to pick up and move somewhere, to start over with someone in a new place . But sooner, rather than later, you'd realize you're still you and you can't run away from yourself no matter how much you need to. Gotta love the irony.

when i packed up and moved i didn't end up the same person. i was so much better. i thought shed love it. changing was the problem tho. college and job promotions, sobriety. things i thought she wanted for me. guess not. 5yrs down the drain. so then i moved again. back to the old me. self destructive habits and all. she said she misses that. she would have stayed with that guy. this guy is killing me. but theres nowhere to go but forward.

The memories of this song during my college days! When I have to move away from my home town and learn to live somwhere else.. Learn to deal with different and new people.. I remember listening to this song until i fall asleep..
I find this song more relatable as I’ve gotten older. Originally from Boston,I lost my mom and both grandmothers in the last few years and have grown less connected with my remaining family. Graduating college while battling depression and trying to live through a pandemic made every day difficult. Love comes when we least expect it and when we need it most though, as I met my soulmate during the start of lockdowns for COVID and for months we talked everyday unable to meet as she’s from Texas and we spent months being thousands of miles apart. Eventually we were finally able to meet and cement our feelings in person. My mother was the person in my life who I felt understood me emotionally the best and always felt really misunderstood with the family I have left. I felt it was a good time as I got vaccinated and graduated college to take the type of leap of faith this song gets at and packed my life up and flew one way to see my partner and it was the best decision of my life. I’ve never felt so understood or accepted by anyone the way her and her family do. Sometimes in life we do need to find space to grow, and it feels fulfilling to take my life into my own hands and start something fresh where nobody knows my name and I get an opportunity to be judged based on what I’ve done, not a perceived notion of who I am.

This song is amazing. It's the perfect ballad to the loneliness we ironically all feel in the moments we forget ourselves and our blessings. It is a tribute to the human condition and a subtle push telling us to care for others, but just as importantly, ourselves. What a great composition. Makes me tear up every time I hear it, even if nothing sad in particular comes to mind. Good work on the video. Be safe, be well.

Same exact thought: cannot stand it. LOL. I thought 0.75 playback speed was gonna do the trick but nope. Could not finish the songggg then good thing I thought of adding the word "slow" when I searched for the song and TA DA! Never went back to listen to the original version again. Haha

while i was re watching big bang theory i came across this one episode where Leonard sings a song and i thought to myself that song is very familiar, then i realized moments later its one of my favorite song way back 2008 that i use to sing all day this is the song boston, what a nostalgia now i miss my childhood and im reminiscing all of those days, this song is gold for me.

I was looking for Boston on Spotify because it was one of my favorite songs on my old computer. I hadnt heard the song in a while and the song I kept finding, also Boston by Augustana just wasn't the same! It was weirdly fast, chorus was different and I just didnt like it since I'm used to this slow version. I'm glad I found it here so I can listen to it and its so much better!

This was actually the first version I ever heard, before the actual album came out. No idea where it came from, but I have a burned CD from LONG ago that is a 4--5 song EP or maybe some kind of demo with only this version. When the album came out with the faster version I was so bummed.
