    Nice build man! I love all the different parts for these bikes. So many different ways you can deck out your WR. Thank you for putting up the video. Cheers!

    I went with the no toil cage and filter. You can feel it breathing better with the new cage.

      Do you have to have the programmer or any other mods to use the no-toil cage and filter?

    The mirrors you can’t see anything, and they work good 🤔

      Haha kinda contradicted myself. But they work good for being legal and OFFROAD use.

    Beautiful bike, tastefully modded. I've got a WR250X and just received the same 21/18 wheels you have from Warp9.

      Thanks! Yeah just wanted a clean looking bike. Nice! I am enjoying the wheels so far.

    Check out the air box and air filter mod. Pretty sure the programmer needs exhaust and the air mod's to run right. I'm getting ready to do the same on my 2018 wr250r. Then obviously deleting all the exhaust and smog garbage for the weight.

    • @dmv7590
      @dmv7590  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I tried the flapper mod, but didn’t really notice a difference, so I just put it back normal. I just used a k&n filter and that works fine with everything I have on it now.

    Where you get those mirrors. Exactly what I'm looking for.

    • @dmv7590
      @dmv7590  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are PowerMadd mirrors with springs. FYI, they are just to stay legal. They don’t vibrate too much at all. Just makes everything behind you small and look far away/

    • @dmv7590
      @dmv7590  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah those thin steel bars definitely bend pretty easy. I found that out the first month.

      Different widths available, bend, and rise. Its a personal thing. Aftermarket is also usually lighter

    thanks

      Hey man sorry just noticed your message. I’m only 7 months late. Haha. But anyways for anyone who might read this and have the same question.
      -Old ones come off easy
      -honestly the new ones weren’t very easy. But I would say get them on as best you can without bubbles. Where the graphic get too close to the edge of the shroud just trim it with a razor blade so it’s an even distance from the edge all the way around. Then poke any bubbles with a pin🤙🏼

    I have been looking into this bike and I cant seem to figure what they changed on it from 2008 to later models

    • @DirtyDovi
      @DirtyDovi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They've pretty much gone unchanged.. 2008-2015 year models were jinxed with potentially bad stators..
      2016-2021 year models, they are good to go. [Yamaha did do a recall on effected models though]
      Another issue was random malfunctioning fuel pumps in the earlier models, but nothing crazy..
      I have a 2017 WR250R [I scored this year with only 23 original miles on it] and I absolutely love it!
      25+ years of riding on/off road and I can honestly say - The WRRs are one of The Best Bikes I've ever ridden!
      Also - There's the 2007-2017 SuperMoto version "WR250X" [For those who didn't already know]
      Again - Pretty much unchanged. Frame colors / Plastic graphics differ, but, that's about it.
      R vs X though..
      WR250-R: front end has different/narrower triple trees, 'off-road tuned' forks, larger [21" front wheel/tire, and smaller rotor
      rear wheel/tire is18" - rims/tires are standard/narrower [more common on off-roaders]
      WR250-X: front end has different/wider triple trees, 'on-road tuned' forks, smaller [17"] front wheel/tire, and larger rotor
      rear wheel/tire is 17" - rims/tires are wider [like sport bikes - for better leaning/traction]
      Sam -
