ASCP board exam (MLS) takers, This Channel will help you pass successfully. Thank you great Doctor, you are the best study coach for students . you deserve to have a million subscribers .
I understand everything you explain even though I am an Arab. You explain more clearly and easily than our Arab doctors, but I do not deny their merit. It is enough that they give me comprehensive references. Your English pronunciation is very clear and not fast , your videos are short but have the most important information, but in this video you were very fast. Thank you very much

@@MedicosisPerfectionalis If it is ok, can you please put in there "a stupid doctor gives tPA before a CT scan to a patient with stroke symptoms." Or combine it into the list somewhere. I was so speechless when I saw this happen.
Thank you but allow me to raise one point concerning the combined use of warfarin and aspirin. This is often used in many cardiac patients who have undergone PTCA and are fibrillating i.e having atrial fibrillation and stent implantation at the same time. Thank you again.
Great video but could you provide so further insight in regard to the comments regarding plasma and trauma? It is not in alignment with our current best practice is trauma management , it is no longer recommended to give crystalloid as a first line especially in large volumes, it is used judiciously as in a permissive hypotension situation.. also if a patient is actively bleeding the hgb and hct may not readily reflect that and if you are waiting for a lab result in an actively bleeding trauma patient you will almost always be behind the 8-ball in resuscitation. Saline also does not have the oxygen carrying capacity or coagulation factors that are needed in trauma patients in hemorrhagic shock too much saline will potentially hemodilute and make things worse, some centers are even using plasma as a first line in the hemorrhaging trauma patient.. I would love to see a video with more detail about when blood products and plasma should be used in trauma :)

Cmv infections are not common at all. With universal leukoreduction the cmv infection rates are essentially non-existent.

Why we can use FFP for TTP, but cryoprecipitate contraindicated for TTP? . Ffp also contain vwf
The concentration of vWF matters.

Is giving whole blood bad for iga difficient ? Why
Because theaw pateints are allergic to IgA because it's foreign to their body. It triggers an immunological reaction.
Because the whole blood contains plasma, where IgA is present. IgA deficient ppl have anti-IgA antibodies which can react with the IgA in the plasma. So you give washed rbcs instead.
The narrative is way way to slow, all this could have been done in 30 seconds or less. Geez!
I now understand why medicosis says in his videos “ i’m not making fun of patients but just medical students.” 😂
So can you give FFP instead of cryosupernatant and cryoprecipitate if neither are available? And do the indications and contraindications for cryosupernatant and cryoprecipitate also apply to FFP?
