    I took an unintentional nap in my car during my lunch break and was woken up by a raven tapping on the windshield and as soon as I woke up we looked at each other and It flew away. Thank goodness otherwise I would’ve been asleep the whole afternoon 😂

    I remember back in collage I saw a raven fly out the back of somebody's pickup with a big ass Burger King bag in it's mouth. Beautiful creatures.

    We live in NE Arizona, U.S., 6500 ft high desert & have had the fun of watching a pair for 2+ years, we them Dancing With Food & Gooble An Go & recently they brought Screams At Food which we think is one of their kids. We put out leftovers in the mornings for them when we we feed a few cotton tail rabbits & chipmunks. We leave our front door open while we sit sipping our coffee about 8:00 am every morning.

    My great-grandmother lived in the countryside and after each meal, she would give leftovers to a raven that frequently came by. She considered the raven to be her friend and could even distinguish him from other ravens because they met so frequently.

    I've never realized how smart birds were until I went to Boston, Mass...
    While walking down the road, I saw a chicken standing on the shoulder...just standing there...
    I wondered why it didn't cross the road...and then I heard it...
    The raven, flying high above, crying out its warning: "Cah..! Cah..! Cah..!!!"

    You didn’t include Australia, where they are called Crows. We also have a black-and-white raven called a magpie, which have even come into our house when on the scrounge.

    • @animalbehaviorcorner7972
      @animalbehaviorcorner7972  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The video is a general one that aimed at providing an overview of Ravens. We will try to plan a video on Australian Ravens if footages are available. Furthermore, Australian Crows and Australian Ravens are two different species. Also, Magpies are not ravens but are a different species from Ravens and Crows. You can confirm these info by performing a quick search on the net👍 .

    I lived in alaska for a yr and a half and had never seen any before and they literally were always trying to figure things out…u know, like how a racoon will go the other way but they are actually just sneaking around your flank and going into your garage as they know u are looking the other way…..that kinda thought ….anyway, i lived in an apt bldg and they would go,thru peoples stuff if it was in the back of an open truck ….they always did that and they destroyed several boat covers people had on their boats in the extra parking area …..they talked alot and had a cool vocabulary…a black,and white bird hung around the bldg too and seemed very intelligent…i just cant recall the name right now!… .. magpie!!!!!!!!

    Are Ravens intelligent though ? It doesn't say in the vid. Well, it doesn't say so any more than 30 or 40 times, so, i just wanted to check.

    Are all Ravens black?

    • @animalbehaviorcorner7972
      @animalbehaviorcorner7972  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know, when you look at ravens from a distance, they are black but the color can be brownish black or blueish black. However, some ravens like the white-necked raven has white feathers on the neck, and the brown-necked raven has brown necks as their names indicate. If I am missing something here, I will love to learn something new from you 👍.
