How to use Microsoft Edge as a PDF editor

- Did you know you could use Microsoft Edge as a FREE basic PDF editor? It may be basic, but it's a nice free option to markup PDFs. In this short video, I will show you how quickly you can start editing PDFs with Microsoft Edge. Use Microsoft Edge to read aloud the pdf, add text, draw, highlight, and more.

Thanks for the video but I'm looking more for editing such as removing text in the document, cutting away paragraphs to form other pdf documents from the original. This information offers great advice on anotating, but I'm still left with a document that has way more info on it than I want to see. Do you know if the ability to cut and insert is available in this program as it makes a great alternative to Adobe (especially with their current cost).

You never 'edited' a .PDF. Editing a .PDF means you're actually able to change existing text. That's 5:08 I'll never get back again.

Wow, I always ignored Microsoft Edge. I use Adobe fill & sign, but I must try out this discovery.
I have a pdf of 600 MB and 1 GB but none of them are edited and saved by Microsoft edge. It's so frustrating.

So, just a quick note, you can no longer change the text font when adding text to the pdf. No option to do so. Unless someone can locate that somewhere else.

Pity that there are no shortcuts for Draw, Highlight and eraser. Also the eraser is not flexible. It cannot erase part of the mark which would be very useful.

You are missing an important point of PDF editing on Edge and I hoped I would get an answer to my issue.
How can you change the color of the text that is being typed in a pdf field form? When clicking on the field, Edge is ready to type, but the color is red and not black. This is not via the "Add Text" feature. This is a built-in form field that I can fill using Edge.
How can I change the color of that text input?
Why don't I have most of these functions in my Microsoft Edge? I downloaded the lastest version of the program.

Thank you very much. I've tried word to edit PDF documents. However, editing the PDF document on word causes format issues with the default document. After looking for software that didn't cost the earth for this feature, I stumbled across your video and can now edit PDFs with ease.

Very usefull to know. Is it possible to sign a document?
I initially applied a bunch of markup and hit "Save" then when i reopened all the markup was gone. I tried this again later using "Save As" and "Save" and found that the markup had been preserved in editable format unlike the the "Print [ to Pdf ]" output. Any insights as to what would cause "Save" to not save pdf with the applied markup still there and editable?
If you want to make sure the added marks are not editable, you could print the edited PDF into another PDF file
@@yc1763mine does not. I loathe Microsoft Edge for a number of reasons but was determined to try to use it for this purpose, but I still cannot do anything with the modified/ marked up document. When attempting to print to PDF, it does not keep my edits either. I cannot find any settings to change this. Why have these editing tools at all, Edge?

Here is something I'm struggling with in Edge pdf. Say I'm on Page 23 of a pdf and I'm asking a question and I need to reference page 16 to answer.
In adobe I can use the number keys and type 16 hit enter and it will navigate to page 16. I haven't found a way to make that work with edge. Is there a way to do that?

Does anybody know of some good replacements for Edge since Edge is unfinished? It deletes about 2% of the marks I make on my pdf's. I used to use Edge to take notes on class pdf's but since the deleting notes issue has gotten worse I'm looking for a replacement.
