I think this might just be the best selective mutism video I've seen so far because this is the first time that I've found someone whose experience was similar to mine. I am a senior in high school and similar to what you said about how your selective mutism really became a problem when you were in your teens, I started showing more symptoms of SM when I was 15 and at 16 I became completely silent in public. I'm almost 18 years old now and I'm still silent. Most videos share experiences of little children, which I can't completely relate to, so I'm so glad I found this video. Also, what I found really interesting about your story is that I have the exact problem where I can't do most work in school because of severe anxiety and needing it to be "perfect".
