How to fix PS4 Can't Sign into PSN (PS4 Errors NP 40831-6 & NP 40833-8)

- Are you having problems with your PS4 where you can't sign into PSN??? And your getting the ps4 error code NP 40831-6 & NP 40833-8??? This can be a bad thing, this means your PS4's ip address is banned from PSN because it was determined to be a threat! But don't worry, there could be an easy fix to get around this. What you need to do is get your router to assign your ps4 a new ip address. Unplug your router & modem overnight and try logging back in.
Also, make sure nobody else is logging into your ps4 account cause problems getting you banned. Change your password! I also heard that the PSN messaging app may have been the reason some of us have been getting PSN sign in failed errors.

So they banned my ip because I tried to sign in multiple times.. very professional. I hate Sony right now

Amanda Castaneda Yea, for me it was fixed after a few hours. I spent 3 hours looking up videos to get it fixed. But it seems like they unban you after 6 hours. At least in my experience. Just takes some time

I signed out of psn so now I cant even change the DNS numbers and I cant even sigh back in because of this stupid error so now my ps4 is useless

I had forgotten my password and entered it over 10 times and rest my password and it had locked me out. I left my router unplugged over night and it fixed itself. You are a legend, thank you so much.

Just log out from your account and restart the router for 3min.Then log in to your account and test your internet conection.It works for me

Had this error come up too. I use my phones hotspot also. So I restarted my phone. Everything worked after that.

When I'm playing any game and it doesn't have any exact random moment, suddenly the psn connection drops even the active internet signal that I see in the connection stus.
So I try to connect again and connection failure with psn appears, sometimes the download fails when I test the connection, sometimes the load fails, sometimes the NAT fails when I try to check the connection. Then I will again disconnect the modem from the power, turn off the PS4. I turn the modem on and then turn on the PS4. I test the connection and connect.
But after some time playing the same thing happens, I'm using the TP-Link modem WD-9970 owned by the internet provider.

I unplugged to the router for 40 minutes plugged the wire back it turned on my router and when I test internet connection it works but when I try to login it still says the same thing “An error has occurred” (with the numbers)

Updated 7.50 now nothing is working. Can't connect to psn network for no reason whatsoever. I never tried to log in multiple times or idk was rude to anyone online. I only play Steep. This rly is just annoying, I'm going to try the router reset you suggested tonight, I hope it works.
I tried everything on youtube it didnt work. And what i did accidentally i turned off my wifi router and turn it on again. And it worked like magic dude.
What I did was went to my hotspot turned it on an it worked then I turned my hotspot off and went back to the regular WiFi and it worked
Maybe you can help me with this: my PlayStation can sign in to psn. I can only play one game online and that’s Killing Floor 2. Any other game that I try to play like rdr2 online or uncharted 4 multiplayer won’t let me play the multiplayer. If you could help me with this I would be very grateful.

I have been trying to access my account for about 1-2 days. (An error has occurred. (NW-31473-8)) I am getting the error Although I wrote my password correctly, I try to enter my account on the computer, I get the message (Server timed out.) All methods that can be corrected I tried, safe mode - re-create the database, update- last version, started as a guest- and I also tried to log in. There is also a problem, I can not make a Master account, not upload my account information, not online, in all other logged accounts. When it comes to connectivity testing, everything is successful but playstation network failed.Can you help me please?

If you change to your hotspot its gonna log in to psn and then change back to your WiFi its gonna be connected but when you log out and back in you gotta do it again, i do that but restartIng WiFi Works sometimes and you got to buy static IP addres(i bought it)
