Just received mine in medium Brown Harness and all I can say is WOW! From presentation to on foot absolutely amazing! I have about 30 pairs of PNW and various other brands but these just stand out from the rest! That toe is something looking down while wearing them. Been wearing them all morning and already the midsole is taking shape to my foot and I love the low heel height. I might just have to get a pair in every leather now that I know the quality is there.

Okay, I just received mine in Cinnamon Waxed Flesh. It's extremely nice. First.....the packaging. Thursday's Black Label packaging is the best I've ever seen. When you unbox it, it feels like you are opening a $1000 boot. TBH, I don't think you're gonna find a better value out there. Premium choice leather. Stitchdown. Fully lined interior. Carl, just got mine today and so far I am impressed. I’ve experienced uneven quality issues with Thursday in the past but the Brawler is a different animal. I got the bronze brown rambler and unlike some of my previous Thursday boots, the stitching on these is perfect and I love the texture of the leather. Even the box was surprisingly good quality. So far the quality appears solid, look forward to putting some miles on them to see how they hold up. Sorry I didn’t record a dramatic unboxing video for you.

No your not a sell out this is a dream in the making. I eventually want to do a channel about stuff I am passionate about too. Your channel I am always impressed by your eye for detail.
Great job over the years, Carl. You have done a great job balancing cost and value. Started wearing Corcoran's, Durango, Tony Lama and Red Wings 40-50 years ago. Wore cheapo boots after that for years. My entry back into decent boots were the Thursday Captains. I'm wearing your first collab with Nick's as I type this. Took forever to break in, even though they are bison. JK OTs and Russel Back Country round out my collection with laces. Both broke in very fast. All four are very different boots. I like the Brawler, but can't justify yet another pair. Retired and I don't "dress up" any more, so dress boots are kind of out. Keep up the great work.
Love the 310 also, but these have a key difference that I had to really visually deconstruct to explain why my eye sees something funky. This boot doesn’t have the arch of the 310. In fact, the heel stack is sloped - no doubt to keep the foot flatter and ensure the boot is comfortable for the casual Thursday buyer. Haven’t seen them broken in, but they don’t look quite right - a lot of bulk around the arch. The pronounced arch on the Viberg offsets the toe and keeps the midfoot/arch area trim in a way my eye finds necessary. The waist looks chunkier too. I still may buy a pair of these, but IMO that difference (higher arch in the 310) means more to me than any of the construction or other Viberg “upgrades”.
@@ronleibfreid5190 My exact thoughts too. The footbed of this boot has a fishbowl shape to it, which is probably going to get pretty uncomfortable over time. The slopped heel stack and sprung toebox are basically pushing your foot to the center of the boot. I can't imagine that is good for your feet.
My Brawlers just came in and HOLY HELL guys! I don’t know how they did this for that price. These are EXCEPTIONAL! Nice.. I'm about to buy a pair just in support of you and to spite Viberg for raising the price so dramatically recently on their 310 and their other boots
Immediately clicked this based on past reviews... just grabbed myself a pair of Red Wing 9060's as well - but this is a really good looking boot. Great design, great insights, and congrats on the launch! Might snag a pair after the heat cools down for how much those Beckmans cost...
I was very close to getting the Thursday Captain a week ago because I wanted something that looked like the Red Wing Iron Ranger but wasn't so expensive. I ultimately didn't go with the Thursday Captain because as you said it's a little too dressy looking. I went with the Jim Green Numzaan instead which I'm currently breaking in, and my feet absolutely hate me, lol. If I had known about the JG 719 I would have gotten that instead of the Numzaan because that looks even closer to the Iron Ranger.
Like others I would love to see a wide size or at least a side by side comparison with one of their popular boots like the Captain. Great video and great job. You guys made a boot with it’s own attitude.
I'm glad to see in the comments how many people are in the same boat as me..... Thursday seems like a good company but the skinny-jeans fancy boot thing just isn't for me. Nice to see they now have something that is direct competition for the IR/Blacksmith.
I love this space of the boot market. In between of handmade overbuilt PNW boots and half synthetic half leather "crap". Kinda in the same ballpark as Truman and Oak Street.

Immediately clicked this based on past reviews... just grabbed myself a pair of Red Wing 9060's as well - but this is a really good looking boot. As someone whos had thursday boots in the past, my main complaint was always how dressy it was, there was no real opportunity to wear it in a more rugged setting.
Great design, great insights, and congrats on the launch! Might snag a pair after the heat cools down for how much those Beckmans cost...
The Brawlers are definitely made for a little more rugged wear!
If I had known about the JG 719 I would have gotten that instead of the Numzaan because that looks even closer to the Iron Ranger.
looks similar to the boondockers we had in the navy
Im going to buy these as my first boot
Awesokme boots but even better video. Top work Carl
I work for the Railroad.. would love for these to come with safety toe option.
I think jim green has some models with steel toe and priced $220 or so. Quality boots for that price
Like others I would love to see a wide size or at least a side by side comparison with one of their popular boots like the Captain. Great video and great job. You guys made a boot with it’s own attitude.
Nice! They are on my list!
Happy new years and congrats on the boot collaboration. definitely going to snatch one of these someday haha they look too darn good, especially the cinnamon waxed flesh
great boots.. with a normal blockheel it would be nice.. Are they half size down from Brannock?
These look great! Shame there aren't any wide options.
Wow, dam good looking boot!!!
