I got my most resent boots at St Vinnies for $3.00.00 . They’re RJ Colt full leather uppers. The name is ONTARIO for the boots given name. I’ve never heard of this brand , but these are sturdy well made boots. The lining is cloth and these boots were never worn either. They have perfect aggressive soles with stitched Goodyear welt with a rolled bottom stitched top and bottom . They have metal swivel lace grommets. They also have a good padded collar at the top. I’m only mentioning this because after watching shows like your it’s easier to recognize quality materials and manufacturing. I don’t know what they cost new and I couldn’t find this style on RJ Colts picture library of their foot wear. These beauties will serve me well over the years and the cost is well within reason ❤.
I'd say Temu boots are still good. You can put a nice $10-20 insole/ jellpad and you're good to go. I've purchased these heritage boots. They are fricking 6 pounds heavy. They would harm my knees way more than these temu boots worn without nice insoles. I've tried couple of temu boots as well. They are super comfy and I walk around 20 to 25k steps per day
There are boots being listed as "Goodyear-Welted" on Chinese sites that look to be high quality copies of Red Wing Iron Rangers going for around 100 dollars. Would be curious to see how they compare, as this is a bit biased as you often get what you pay for. 30 dollar Temu specials are going to perform like 30 dollar Temu specials....
There was a video on the channel, cutting open some $50 Red wing lookalikes, but the video has apparently been taken down. They were surprisingly well made, considering the price point, there are much nicer chinese boots available in Aliexpress, but unfortunately you can't find them here for now at least.
I love how in your other videos you give the boots some respect and in this video they get none (because they deserve none). You rush though it super quick because they aren't even worth spending time on them. That was the impression I got anyways. Would be interesting to see you get into loafers and dress shoes.
Please review some of the high-price boots from Taobao too. Nowadays there are really good-looking boots from taobao, made out of famous leather companies. (They claim). But there are literally no reliable review of those products, so it would be really nice if you can review the products for us!
Appreciate the video. the problem with Temu is that they can say whatever they want about products and no one can do anything about them lying. Also I don't really know how much a good shoe (or whatever other product) is supposed to cost, the $300 shoe is going to be better than the $30 temu shoe, but how much of the expensive shoe goes into the materials and craftmanship, and how much goes into transport, logistics, margins, business expenses, branding and marketing etc... That obfuscation really works in temu's favor
i wear boots that are supplied to kmart australia and cost $80Aus. I wear them most days and they last about 2 years before the sole splits. I admit that $700 boots would last longer but i'm not sure about 20 years. I have put orthopedia soles in and they are comfortable.
I got a jacket off Temu for $13 a couple years ago. One of the most complimented pieces of clothing I've ever had. I dont know what to make of this information
Dear RoseAnvil, I follow you from Italy... I would request a review of the Grinders Boots, a made in England cheap version of Docs... and another video with the difference between the Adidas Stan Smith and the Adidas Advantage, both premium versions. Thx!
I have bought lots of small stuff from temu. All with the 50% off coupons that always seem available. I'm pleased with the quality and price of the things I bought. Ofc I would never expect to get high quality shoes from there😂.
The difficult thing is, they do SAY it is leather. They even say it is leather on Amazon, when it is not leather, it is fake. It should be false advertising in the US to sell anything of non-advertised materials, which is why clothing has sewn in labels on fabrics stating percentages of cottons/polyester, etc. It isn't easy to shop for shoes. I've started getting very expensive handmade leather shoes and boots from Joes on Etsy, to combat this, but I don't even have a local cobbler anymore. I was lucky to find that seller.
Can you check out the Panama Jack boots? They are made in Spain and are the best bang for buck shoes ive ever had. Mine are 2 seasons old now and they barely look worn
Do you have an opinion on Redskins boots? I really like the style and the materials they use (some even have a zipper for convenience) but I don't know about their durability and long term comfort quality. Thanks!
Your videos are great, keep up the good work ! How about a video comparing the leather on the supposedly upgraded quality Air Force ones like the Nocta (Drake) or the white CPFM (cactus plant flee market) or the recent lil yachty pair (he claims the quality is better on those)
There are some small gadgets from Temu that might be worth it but definitely not shoes.. For example, I both a windshield sun protector that works like an umbrella and beard trim apron that attaches to the mirror. Stuff that's very hard to mess up.
But what you want from $35 to $75 tho? Can you find better US made boots within that price range? It's not like people buying this boots are expecting Redwing or Nick's quality. They know what they're getting and probabaly fine with the way it is. Not everyone has $400 right?
who talks about 400? you can find decent boots for 100-200. also, you will buy those once and it will last you years and years whereas in the same time you will have purchased a ton of temu shoes. in the end, you will spend more with temu and on top of that poison the planet a little bit extra. people think they can cheat universal principles by buying shit on temu and in the end they will find out its just marketing and they gut fucked over yet another time.
@ 100-200 boots are still made in Vietnam/ China and I doubt they will last x times longer than those Temus. Checkout other comments people actually bought these Temus and had no problem for years
Could you incorporate lead testing with these materials as well? You can get a lead reactive dye (marker) and use a blacklight to see the item has any lead in the item. Typically everything sold in dollar stores have a lot of lead paint/parts so I was wondering if this goes across the board for cheaper made materials.
Could you look at the Baasploa running shoes from Temu? I've actually been using a pair as my gym shoe for more than half a year (albeit with a custom insole) and surprisingly it's held up quite well, no real complaints, top was a bit tight and that worked out over a few days.
The only reasonable quality thing I ordered from TEMU and still use on a daily basis are rings , specifically, very interesting, complicated glow in the dark models, sunglasses, stuff like that...
probably still better than the new converse chucks i got that only lasted about 3 months, you pay almost $70 for garbage, im done with that brand never again
To be fair other shoes sell shoes of this same quality for more money. In reality how do we know where the nikes we buy are made etc so unfortunately poorer quality is becoming mainstream ,,,
If you can do a review/cut up of the Keen Liberty. I'd like to see if they're viable outside of Thorogood's, Red Wing etc. Also look at Tecovas new line of work boots.
These boots are like the expensive boots in Kenya. 5000 kshs (30USD) is a lot of money in Kenya to spend on one shoe. Only the rich rich can afford 80 USD boots. The secret to these shoes is sadly do not walk longer than 1km in them. They can last one year if used sparingly.
oh and by the way I deleted my temu account months ago. It was not just because of constantly getting junk it was because the post office hates Temu. The packages are terrible.
Teamy and Aliexpress are great for some nice Chinese brands. I used to buy Bona, for almost half the price of the local stores. Now I'm buying Hobibear, and it is also great. You just need to know, what brands you are looking for.
I have teemu shoes. The exterior holds up fine if i compare to my past cheap-item experiences. The interior, however is degrading fast. The spot where your heel goes has worn out in less than a month of wearing. They are cheap. They are so cheap you can buy a new pair every 2 weeks. The decision is yours. Buy a great pair and wear em for years. Or get a new pair every few weeks :D
I buy camera accesories like magic arms and metal tripods that cost twice as much on Amazon - same quality - I assume some things work and some don't as 90% of everything comes from China
I got w pair called everboots for just kicking around/house projects on the weekend. It's was their wedge mock toe boots. They were like 65 bucks on Amazon and they are decent. I'm not saying they are Red Wings but they are mighty comfy. They are my first wedge boots.
Have never bought anything from Temu, Shine, Ali., Amazon and sites like that… love going to a local store, or shopping at local websites and small family businesses. 9 out of 10 times the quality and service are better. 😊
In the run up to Christmas TH-cam was bombarding me with Temu ads. A lot of items aren't just terrible quality but potentially dangerous since there is no assurance they conform to standards - clothes, creams, perfumes, jewelry, hair braids, makeup, adult items; toys for babies and small children; baby furniture; mains powered electricals, chargers, heaters etc.; anything with safety purpose (harnesses, life vests, circuit breakers, smoke alarms, fire blankets etc). None of that stuff can be trusted as safe to use.
I bought a few shoes from temu and the most miles I put on one pair was about 200 and that was it. One of them though did last a month and the upper stayed looking nicer but the sole was gone after a month. I maybe could have gotten it resoled but the shoe only cost like 7 so not worth it.
I'm not even sure if artificial leathers are environmentally friendly. Tanning creates emissions but faux leather materials, especially plastics, require huge amounts of waste if derived from oil, almost never decompose, and we need to engineer boutique strains of bacteria able to hopefully digest them into safe compounds so countless future generations won't have microplastics aggravating heart conditions. The only environmentally harmful thing I'd argue is just the USA has far too many cows over the carrying capacity of the Great Plains (like double over the old bison pop). Plus leather when thrown away actually decomposes and returns to the soil.

Thank you for this review.
Same sweatshop, different materials?
Good for a shop display, may be a stationery / flower shop as a prop.
Same boots talks get on many stores here in US, except if you buy from American companies that make it here. Rather pay temu than kohls.
Thanks. I was wondering.
You get what you play for 😊! Thanks again for a good video.
Will you be doing some tests on German made boots like Meindl, Hanwag, etc?
have you done any of the aliexpress/dhgate redwings iron ranger style boots
You did for Temu, but you need also Red Tornado Iron Rangers!
i wear boots that are supplied to kmart australia and cost $80Aus.
Thx!
hopefully in the future rose anvil does leather crossbody/messenger bags and shoes
i fw u bro keep it up
I'll never buy anything from Temu.
Awesome video and you're wearing a great sweater!
I have bought lots of small stuff from temu. All with the 50% off coupons that always seem available. I'm pleased with the quality and price of the things I bought. Ofc I would never expect to get high quality shoes from there😂.
10:45 someone’s slipping! Is the iron ranger in the room with us? 😂
Finally! Searched the comments to find this one. Clearly a pair of Thursday Captain Stormkings..
Checkout other comments people actually bought these Temus and had no problem for years
Walmart in store boots are better than these. make sure in store.. otherwise the shipped boots are the same as these Temu boots from the resellers.
If only you could see the geode coffee mugs i got from temu. They looked like real geode in the pics, but... i got spray painted plastic mugs.
Awesome vid!
It would be awesome if you offered an adjustable clip on purse strap!
Thursday boots have a few new boots with stacked leather apparently. The challenger, the brawler and another I think
The only reasonable quality thing I ordered from TEMU and still use on a daily basis are rings , specifically, very interesting, complicated glow in the dark models, sunglasses, stuff like that...
I would love to see a video of H&M-Zara sneakers. They feel like absolute trash but are you actually getting something decent?
probably still better than the new converse chucks i got that only lasted about 3 months, you pay almost $70 for garbage, im done with that brand never again
To be fair other shoes sell shoes of this same quality for more money. In reality how do we know where the nikes we buy are made etc so unfortunately poorer quality is becoming mainstream ,,,
Would love to see you take a look on "Panama Jack" made in Spain.
The packages are terrible.
i still have arizona boots that i bought in 2003. cut grass in them. don't hurt my feet to this day.
I'd love to see you cut open a pair of eytys angels, they're a swedish brand and I've always thought they had great quality.
I like the brute band saw only cut in half.
What is the best value for dollar brand?
Not sure about shoes (never bought any) but I bought a good amount of bits and bobs and they were good for the price
could you do the Milwaukee Leather Engineer boot? I want to know if they are safe for motorcycles.
I got w pair called everboots for just kicking around/house projects on the weekend. It's was their wedge mock toe boots. They were like 65 bucks on Amazon and they are decent. I'm not saying they are Red Wings but they are mighty comfy. They are my first wedge boots.
Hi, could you please provide a review of the Harold Boots Gardner
Have never bought anything from Temu, Shine, Ali., Amazon and sites like that… love going to a local store, or shopping at local websites and small family businesses. 9 out of 10 times the quality and service are better. 😊
At least some stuff may be custom orders that was never followed-through on as I got art supplies no one has reviewed at all or even sells.
Can you test work boots from Cabela's? My husband works in a concrete plant and the ones he gets last years...
These will be fine for a couple of years.....
Thanks for the info.
I noticed about ten yrs ago that all the affordable boots on amazon were made of paper pressed paper to look like leather.
