    The deciding factor for me was the IR blaster - Xiaomi 13 has it. The functions I was looking for in a new phone were: Support of eSIM, 4K video recording at 60fps, support of wireless charging, IR blaster. The only phone on the market today that has all 4 for a reasonable price is Xiaomi 13.

    What normal people need is decent midrange and normal flagship phone, other than that..
    PRO for hardcore fan
    PRO Ultra for ultra rich
    PRO Max Ultra for Ultraman family.
    And nice phone comes without macro camera.

    Hey Adam, beautiful review as always! I think you are right. I would still probably get the pro varient for the larger size but this is really compelling. I would pay a little more for all the stuff the pro gives. I use my phone for a couple of years so I wouldn't want to cheap out so my rule is to always get something worth it and so I wouldn't probably go for anything but a flagship thingo. I do appreciate the thought that has gone into the UI and xiaomi's skin is definitely my favourite Android skin out there and its relatively easy to learn. I think it's worth learning for the customisation present and the way everything is so polished. Good thing you can turn of the ads or that would make my flagship phone feel cheap. Thankyou again Adam as always for these amazing videos and I can't wait to see your newest ones🙂

    The software point is true, I totally agree with that. I did use several Xiaomi phones before changing back to Samsung, all I can say is that OneUI does a better job and provides me with better user experience. However, I'm not familiar with Miui since Miui 12 so it could have be better as compared to those previous version I used. Anyway, I'll stick with Samsung as long as it continue to provide me good experience.

    • @soheiladam7510
      @soheiladam7510 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It did improve a lot, and I prefer MIUI some people do too because it's snappy and the animations are top, the bloatware can annoy some people, it's all matter of taste. even though OneUI is clearly well organized and better overall I still prefer MIUI. people like what they like.

    nice video , as someone here who has been using xiaomi phones for over 9 years at this point , that company never disappointed in anything from from the performance and build quality to the price , but for the MIUI yes at the start it wasn't easy (at the time i had the asus zenfone 4 which had a intel SOC btw) but after using MIUI for this amount of time (i tried everything from the redmi phones and poco phones (currently using a poco f3) all the way up to the flagship MI phones)
    i came to a few conclusions which are :
    1- MIUI is one of the smoothest android skins on the market with even older phones running it still feeling smooth compared to old android phones from other companies like Samsung and even old iphones , while maintaining the smoothness and feature richness of it on modern phones
    2- if you are switching from any android company to xiaomi YES it will be hard at first to get used to it , but funny enough apple users will actually realize how much xiaomi borrows from the design of IOS (tho you still have to get used to using an android as a OS)
    3- xiaomi tries to experiment with each MIUI update, so 1 day you have excellent battery life and the best experience of a phone in the world and another day after a update it might be the opposite depending on the model of your phone (but at least they make small patches to fix these issues after their updates which make everything good again)

    Adam! What the hell is that coffee short? lmao. Will you have a look at the Poco F5 pro? I use the 4 and a year later it's still great for the value. Keep on doing the "huh" and "wait wut?' thumbnails and looks and faces at camera. Love it.. Cheers Jed (UK)

  • @TheMikeDudley
    @TheMikeDudley หลายเดือนก่อน

    I agree that the OS is eccentric and takes some getting used to. Also, I've always put a protection case on my phones as a matter of course and it's no different with this one. I agree that the screen glass is disappointing, but I've just put a screen protector in place, as well as being careful with the way I handle the phone during use. I think these couple of adjustments - adding screen protection and getting used to the OS - elevate the phone to a "must have".

    i was lucky, i got mine (and should arrive in a few days) at 650 euros here in italy trough ebay (full price is 1k), so for that price and considering how costly are an iphone (1.7k) or a s23 ultra (2.k+) here in italy it was a big deal to be able to find the regular xiaomi 13 at that price for me, coming from my veteran Mi 9t Pro (which, is still a good phone in my modest opinion, but xiaomi cutted it from updates and android patches) i think that the miui 14 will be as much as good as the 12.5 that i'm still using.

    • @ezechieldzimeyor4541
      @ezechieldzimeyor4541 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm most likely going to be picking up a Xiaomi 13 Pro in the next couple of weeks as the s23u doesn't include some of the features I want and I don't want an iPhone. The phone seems to have everything I want and the global version works perfectly with TMobile in the USA, it's still pretty pricey $1080 for 512gb global version, but I think it's worth it as I'll be using it a lot in college and I'll make the money back because my field pays well. Also coming from the mi 9t pro and my experience with it has been pretty good. Over the last half year I've been getting more issues but still a pretty solid phone, hopefully I enjoy the 13 pro

    Nice review, I want to mention something about the 2nd reason to not to buy this phone, I use MIUI, and I struggle also when I try other brand's UI like apple/Samsung/google etc., to navigate, so in my point of view this is pretty normal and should not consider it as a reason to not buy this phone for any brand.
    Although, The review really helped me to take the decision whether I should buy it or not, because I am hesitating to buy Xiaomi 13 Ultra as it's price is exceeding my budget and I' don't really use camera so often, I think 13 Ultra suits more to Professional photographers.

    I love the Xiaomi 13 my main phone for the last 3 months now, for the 2 fails maybe the Gorilla Glass is not the last version but the best you can do is be careful.. at the end I see iphones 14 with the "amazing" ceramic shield broken the same as the victus or the other ones.. Buy a Case and solve it.. In the Software fail I agree but not for the "difficulty" (maybe has more submenus but nothing more..) the reason why Im not 100% with Miui is the Ads.. for me is unacceptable in 2023 a high end phone with extra ads in almost every app (you need to deactivate in every one manually).. thats all, Xiaomi sell the 13 like a masterclass phone but the software is the same as in the cheap ones.. They need to offer a better experience.
    Today it is one of the better android phones, until the iPhones evolve to USBC, better termals and put 120hz in the entry level models I keep the Xiaomi 13 with and amazing cameras, batery and price.

    Oops, just realised I'm rocking Microsoft launcher on my Poco, and it's fantastic. So, if you can't get on with the stock, then can always use another launcher, Novo, ms etc. Just have to have the patience to set them up. Brilliant hardware and phones though though. My 4X more expensive Sony and Samsung flag ships struggle in connectivity sometimes, but the Poco finds a signal. Go figure. I'm selling those flagships...

    Hi bro I just wanted to highlight, that Xiaomi in general hated critics remarks especially when you put the video title with 2 Fails, because youtuber Techtablets did the same thing and got suspended from promoting any xiaomi phones. Xiaomi had come from a humble beginning to a egoistic company that only looks for good things to market their products. i just cant accept their reasoning with this

    • @AdamLoboTV
      @AdamLoboTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, I have been reviewing Xiaomi devices for 7 years and I personally know the team globally and from Malaysia as well and they are very open to any feedback, while there are some companies which are not (hence I don’t review those brands anymore) Xiaomi has always been open to feedback on their products without any such prejudice
