I'm surprised about the mentioned price difference. In Czech republic, it costs the same as S23. I picked the Xiaomi 13 just to try something different and I have to say it surprised me so far. MIUI is not the nicest UI, but apart of that, it is much better than I expected.

In Latvia S23 costs 960€ 8/256gb but no charger, no case.... Xiaomi 13 8/256 is 980€ with all in... Bit brighter, bit bigger, bit better :)

The great thing about this device is that people who didnt test it personally will have a different opinion regarding it, until they got it on their hands and test it. I've show it to different users and they were amazed on how good it is, take note that majority of them are iphone users which shows the capability of this smartphone.

hi bro, if you swipe right, do you see the step counter and all other short cuts on the left of the phone from the home screen ? i see that on the eu rom. do u have the same on the standard global rom as well/ Can u please check and update ? and how are the ads on teh global rom. did xiaomi disable ads or we need to disable ads manually ? please advise. thanks.

Purchased my phone (256gb 12gb ram) from China on the day of it's release there. Been a fantastic phone. Chinese rom is a bit restricted but now the global rom is out which will solve all the quirks with the Chinese one. Only paid £600 for the higher spec phone.
I bought mine through giztop. Paid about 660 euros for the 8gb 256gb version with shipping. At that price it's simply unbeatable. I must say it really impressed me, I originally only intended to keep it until iPhone 15 pro and pixel 8 came out but now I don't see the need for it.

I have xiaomi 13 and I love it. I chose 13 over s23 cuz bigger screen. This size is perfect for me 6.1 is too small and build quality is awesome, I like it much more then s23.

I have this phone for 3 weeks and I like it. The size is perfect for me. The price was about 800 euro, very close to the galaxy s23. Initially I was on the galaxy, but I like this design more. The charging is faster, and the infrared blaster is a feature I use. The camera department is decent. The speakers are just fine. The overall package is not bad. I think the software will improve over time,and the bugs eliminated.

@@chriswest2290 Yes, it replaces a mi 10t pro which is a great phone, so miui 14 is not a bad thing for me. It is a matter of preference. I think the galaxy s23 is a great phone, but is too small for me. Maybe the s23 is a better choice. I don't know. But I am not regretting my choice. Xiaomi 13 is a good phone.
@@chriswest2290 s23 small comes 128gb the reason the xiaomi 13 is £770 is what €800 is because the base 13 is now ip68 has a 3.2x telephoto base is also 8gb ram 256gb storage then is 12gb ram 512gb storage s23 8 gb ram 128gb and the 256gb variant is litterly the same price as xiaomi 512gb variant. My problem with xiaomi is wtf why usb c 2.0 transfer file data speeds are shit

Man! I'll always find videos like these that make me wonder if I made the correct purchase after the date of return. Oh. I like the flat screen, fast charging, and flat sides, and the green. I just wonder if I should have gotten the OnePlus 11 instead.
Tough choice, you know. Both phones are great. I usually try to extract the most out of the device that I currently have. There always will be something different and in some ways better.
It's more expensive than op11 lol... a d OnePlus 11 offers more for less money...so you should have bought OnePlus 11 instead of Xiaomi 13
@@egcozinon i am going to switch vice versa exactly because can't stand the size (specifically the length) of 1+ 11 any longer. It slides out of any of my pocket and makes me nervous if i drop it in the public transport or even a toilet (sounds funny but in fact it is serious)
I have OP11 and considering this phone
I am using this phone for one week, after the mi 10t pro,and the miui 14 is not bad. Battery life is good. The display is more bright. Camera department is very decent, maybe not the best but it is ok. More people complaining about USB 2.0. If you use the cable for data transfer then is not the best scenario. For me, this is not a big deal. Actually the 13 series are improved compared to previous ones. Software is decent and improving,maybe not samsung level. Even samsung has vulnerabilities with their modem, on multiple models and no security patch released after months. So nothing is perfect, if you like this phone, go for it.
Every smartphone has vulnerabilities. As long as you enjoy MIUI - this is a superb phone.
@@TechMishka Yes I enjoy Miui. The last version is redesigned and is very fluid. Battery life is decent on this phone. The redmi series are also good value, especially the turbo version.

@@engene8117 Good question, there is a big difference between the two. Xiaomi 13 is also more expensive, but there are better, cameras, IP 68 certification, wireless charging, faster storage. The redmi 12 also have good specs, and is a bigger device. I don't know if the software support is the same. The most important factor in your decision the price you are willing to pay. The redmi 12 turbo is a great phone for everyday tasks. But if photography is important, or you are a gamer the xiaomi 13 is for you. There is the 13 pro, even better, but more expensive. But this design and compact size of the xiaomi 13 convinced me.

You may find some options to buy it from AliExpress. Better check your provider's frequency utilization so that you make sure you will gave good signal reception
Отново Евала! И на miui 14 ли не е управено ползването на плъзгане за навигация при чужд лънчър?
всички телефони ползвам с нова лънчър, за премахване на софтуерните бутони ползвах fng. По времето на mi 9 серията софтуера беше по-добре - от тогава буксуват на място всяка едни и същи бъгове не ги управят(двойно почукване за заключване примерно). След няколко години с шауми минах на самсунг - сами са си виновни.
Ако се ползват Gestures - просто няма как да се ползва Nova или друг лаунчър...
@@TechMishka всъщност може с fng приложението се заменя жеста който извиква home със nova. И също за лънчър по подразборане се оставя тоя на miui.
Only the 128gb model has the lower 2.0 transfer rates. The 256gb has the faster standard

5:03 About performance part in games, you need to activate the performance mode by swiping the white line who's on the top left and there you can get 120 fps
Didn't work back then. I tried everything - performance mode, forcing 120Hz from developer options... Everything... Some people.reported it was fine on the Chinese ROM.
Well if not for crazy pwm on Samsung I will probably choose it, but xiaomi has really really nice screen with one of the lowest pwm on Android...
Also all Samsung devices in my family started to get buggy after a 1.5 year. UI animation freezes, shutter speed being awful and etc. My college recently also complained that his s22 Ulta starts to freeze now. I don't want another Samsung to be slowed and buggy after a year, did they do something to get away from this problem?
Also I never tried xiaomi before. Does it's software really that bad?

One way to improve the UI performance is to go to developer options and reduce the animation scale to 0.5.
My xiaomi poco f3 died after only 18 months
Their software is ok, used 3 Xiaomi mi 9t in my family and i used mi 9t pro and poco f1 never had issues with software or battery or Performance after years of heavy usage.
Any company has bugs in their softwares, now using 14 pro max which is disgusting and all TH-camrs don't tell you that iphone doesn't have basic features of android phones, you can't control sounds separately like how it's on Android where you can control notifications and alarms and ringtone separately. Thr notification will destroy your ear when you are on call. Im looking to buy Xiaomi 13 ultra or S23 ultra just confused.

Sure - I use Nova Launcher, it has the option to enforce rounded icons.

in almost all aspects, xiaomi 13 is the winner. :) cameras are great. i installed gcam in this thing and it works like magic! especially the telephoto zoom . charging speeds is also wayyy ahead of s23 , so is battery life . and i love the size of this phone too. nothign to complain. and i love how miui looks. very customizable, and even though we're not allowed to install 3rd party launchers, I'm surprised that i never got sick of the stock launcher. i have so many themes to choose from that i dont really have to install another launcher

@@charbelaoun6 of course, for the size xiaomi 13 is better, if you're into a smaller and compact phone. 12t pro is a very heavy phone. also, the bezels in xiaomi 13 are thin, unlike 12t pro. xiaomi 13 also has snapdragon 8 gen 2 and it's way faster and snappier

I buyed the Xiaomi 13 after buying the S23.
Best Choice i made, the s23 gave me just headace because of the low pwm now i have no problems anymore with my eyes the s23 is still 1 of the best phones 2023 at least top 5.
The extra security feature makes the xiaomi 13 in to 2 Phones i use my left thumb for 1 setup and the right for my other setup. so 1 for the kids and one for me.
The selfie cam is the only dissapointment for me but i couldnt care less because the leica cam makes such sick photos oh man.
35 min loading and the thing is full for another day due to 67w the only thing that is dissapoints me to is that there not many cases for the phone i like so i buyed the rugged amor from spigen combined with magfit ring from spigen and a cardholder.
Awesome summary. I actually think the front camera is just fine. The lack of 4K is not that important. Enjoy!

I really like MIUI and the design and size of the Xiaomi 13, but the most important thing for me is the camera and I now have to decide between S23, Pixel 7/7a/8 and Xiaomi 13.

I'm more torn between Pixel 8 and Xiaomi 13.
Xiaomi 13 and 14 are available quite cheap in China (trading shenzen) but unfortunately the import versions don't support LTE Band20 which I need in my country.
In Chinese version of this smartphone you didn't get 4G Band 7 and 20, and esim support.

I had a Xiaomi Mi11 before. It was a fantastic phone. Now I wanted to choose between this two phone. I lost trust in Xiaomi. Update came 2 times / years. In 2023.03 my Xiaomi Mi11 still had the Android 12 with Miui 13. Joke. Plus much more easier find a good glassprotector and case to Samsung.
I know, fast charging is super, and Xiaomi 13 maybe have little better picture. But Xiaomi 13 has only USB 2.0 port. What??? Only Full HD front camera. Only Gorilla glass 5. What??? I know it has a charger in the box, but come on. Who pay these amount of money to a phone, really regret money to buy a good charger if needed? :) So I choosed Galaxy 23, because of Victus 2 fron & back, more often software updates and more stable system. I think Leica was to expensie now, and they had to reduce such things like glass, usb speed and selfie camera to keep the price lower and the galaxy s23.

Xiaomi 13 max picture resolution with 3'rd party camera apps is 12 Mpix. Huawei P60 should support 50 Mpix. Xiaomi does not support exposure bracketing by native cam app. They force you do bracketing ony at 12 Mpix with HedgeCam and other professional camera apps.
Similar with Image Stabilization in video recording.

Android System includes alot of services... Might be Wifi, or Bluetooth , or location services or something else...

@@TechMishka noup, if you run a benchmark test the system turn off the WiFi, bluetooth.. with a notification alert. It appears affect the 13 and 13pro

Hello there brother.. Can I ask you based on your experience between the Xiaomi 12T & say the OnePlus 10T which phone you think takes better looking front & rear photos in general (not too bland but a bit lively, better HDR, better low light, better skin tone, white balance), louder speakers and one that pushes quicker software updates than the other?
10t is still very relevant and seems to be a more premium solution as compared to the Redmi.

I bought both S23 and Mi 13 and i will sell the Xiaomi 13.
1) It has worse screen: lower brightness under light (on paper it should be brighter but it's not) and not dim enough in dark conditions. Gorilla Glass 5 on Mi 13 vs Victus on S23.
2) worse speakers: slightly lower max volume, and worse sound quality (S23 has richer sound)
3) MIUI/HyperOS is terrible after getting used to pure android (before that i was using Xiaomi 12 with an AOSP rom). OneUI is closer to pure android. I can go for custom roms on Mi 13 but i'm kinda tired of all the hassle with all the bugs and fixes with every update on custom roms, it's like a cat and a mouse game.
4) S23 is more one hand friendly, i personally prefer the smaller phone. But i can't deny that Mi 13 feels more premium with that iPhonish design and stronger haptics.
I still haven't made a camera comparison but those 4 reasons i wrote above are enough for me to stick with S23.
The things i will miss on S23: the faster charging and rooting (if u root a samsung phone u permanently lose auto OS updates even if u unroot and some other samsung features).

Back in 2021 I bought Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 256GB. Man I was impressed initially with its technical specifications, BUT:
- I was an iOS user;
- The MIUI was dissaster;
So, I sold that damn brick and bought second hand, three-years old iPhone 11 Pro Max and I was back on track without annoying bugs.
Trust me, I am a Linux server admin by soul, I freakin hate managing a device with OS bugs. The iPhone 11 Pro Max was much better than all new Xioami.
This isn't nice and hate how Chinese developers don't give a damn about Europe/US OS quality.
We are hopeful that Hyper OS will be better

Well here in the Philippines, Xiaomi 13 is cheaper and worth buying for than the Samsung S23 which is $183 USD higher in price. 🥴🤢 considering that they both have the flagship specs and the same chipset. And also samsung tends to lag and slow after a year even in their flagship line ups thru system updates 😏
So yeah there's no perfect phone even iphones have issues too in their software.

The main sensor is the same size as the s23 and it is far smaller than the pixel 7. The ultrawide sensor is also inferior to the s23 and Google pixel 7. Thus, the camera hardware is not superior
The Pixel 7 image sensor is somewhat older. Going through the specs I still think Xiaomi 13 has great potential
@@TechMishka That's true. It's older but definitely superior. The imx800 is basically the same as the imx766 that has been used for years (imx800 is also used in midrangers like the Honor 70 last year). The ultrawide is the same very budget OV13b that has been used since the Xiaomi 10 (in the 10, 11, 12, 12s and now 13. I agree they are ok but they are basically the same level hardware wise as the Samsung s23/23+ so it boils down to software basically between those two phones. I really like this phone overall for the design and overall specs but slightly disappointed with the main sensor camera hardware given the price. Last year's Xiaomi 12s had a much better imx707 main sensor which was downgraded to the imx800 in the Xiaomi 13. It's a pity they didn't keep the imx707.

@@TechMishka I am from Singapore, Southeast Asia. Normally Xiaomi's Mi series will be $200-300 cheaper than the flagship Samsung but this year they are the same price in my region. It makes choosing much easier now especially after Samsung ditches their terrible Exynos SoC.

ive never used my usb port to transfer data. the fast charging is much more important for everyday use

I really enjoyed the Galaxy line this year. But both phones are quite awesome.
mind blowing design and camera getting getting screwed by low level software. Xiaomi leveled-up their game in terms of hardware, but they most likely need to work on their software if they want to compete with the likes of samsung and apple. I wish nothing phone had this kind of design and hardware, i wouldn't think twice before buying that phone. In android world this is a major problem.
