I enjoyed what he said about theology devoid of experience/intimacy is useless. Martyn Lloyd-Jones has a great book where he discusses this and the baptism in the Holy Spirit called "Joy Unspeakable" its a fantastic book and I highly recommend it.

This touched my heart and I teared up a little. Perseverance, that's where I'm at. I love it.

Good video and good response from Todd as he discussed personal experience with suffering, NT witness to suffering and NT promise to all who live God suffering. He mentioned the ranges of suffering, in suffering for what you believe while under testing by the words of others and lack of confirmation in the flesh and as well the suffereing that brings into the possibility of losing ones life for their witness. Good one guys, thanks. I also enjoyed how you didn't put any words in his mouth or interrupt, or feed him concepts with different wording, well played.

For the controversial reputation that Todd has, he is correct in what he is saying. Maybe he is the only one willing to become a 'fool' for Christ and the intellectually "wise" christians are being shamed.

I can understand why his wife acted the way she did. She was used to him being one way (addictive behaviors, deceit, ect.), and then he started behaving completely another way. I just feel like standing up for her a little bit because i don't see her represented fairly.

I think this is what is needed with anyone involved in any kind of online ministry. Shining light, and not heat, on others who claim to be teachers of speakers of God's word. 1 and 2nd Timothy are packed with warnings of false teachers and reminding us that God's word is God breathed and its purpose! I would love to do an interview with you guys. I am not a "big name" preacher, but a small town pastor who is set out to get people to know the God of the Bible, not the god of their own interests. Theology matters, "me"ology is dangerous.

What is Todd talking about? Wasn't the question about suffering and the Gospel? He's talking about healings? Is there evidence of these healings?

What a faith. Everyone can sit around and be a 'theologian'. Not everyone really puts a conviction of the Word of God and puts in into such practice with determination. I don't have to agree with everything he says or does but I surely appreciate him seeking in faith more than those who haven't even tried praying for 10 people with faith to see God's Word and yet critique according to their knowledge.

Theology devoid of experience is something I cannot imagine, as if our intellect alone can save us and grow as we meet with God in the Scriptures. Yet experience without sound theology is something I have seen shipwreck an entire fellowship as other spirits operated alongside carnality, even disguising themselves as the Holy Spirit. I think your video on Spurgeon , whereby he operated in at least two of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (healing and faith), highlighted the importance of the Gospel being central to every move of the Holy Spirit - whether a man would describe himself as a cessationist or not - for signs and wonders followed his preaching of the Gospel as surely as they did with the Apostles and should do with us who believe. Somebody once said: All Word and you dry up, all Spirit and you blow up, both together and you grow up. I have seen both extremes and they result in a dead walk.
