Trask Ulgo… twenty years almost and he’s still a massive boss. Imagine challenging a Sith Lord, apprentice to the Dark Lord himself, TO A DUEL, without even a second thought. RIP Trask, you were the best soldier in all of Star Wars then, and you still are.
Animation on this quality and scale would take an immense amount of time so i wouldn’t be surprised if they had this planned for a long while and have just finished mostly everything up or they are following a live schedule and some episodes might get delayed by a week or 2

Even though the project has been sadly cancelled for the time being, I must say, I'm happy that Scott listened to the feedback when it came to Carth's character model reveal and fixed a lot of issues. Carth looks more like himself now.

The prequels were trash too. I dislike the sequels as much as the next Star Wars fan, but people seem to forget the prequels also sucked. This looks amazing tho

But episodes 1 and 2 are basically universally hated. (CLONE WARS IS AMAZING THOUGH)

As a die-hard fan of KotOR and KotOR 2, and the Old Republic era in general, this has me more excited than any official Star Wars production in over a decade. Thank you! Thank you for fanning the embers of what's left of my love for Star Wars. God knows Lucasfilm isn't doing it.
The Star Wars franchise is trully at a low standard right now. Mandalorian was not good but okay I guess, Bobba Fett was utter trash, and Obi-Wan was a disaster. I hope they will bring the High Republic area on the screen with good staff (because the Eclipse Game is really ambitious and I think there's a reason why they chose the High Republic as a period). But I doubt they will ever touch the older periods. They don't really care about anything else than the OG trilogy at this point.
He will only live for one episode but god dame the way he gos down is legendary. To buy just a few more seconds a man who knows for a fact will never win challenges a sith apprentice to a duel and last just enough to change the fate of history

I can't comprehend how excited I am for this, I've been a big fan of KOTOR ever since quarantine started. This is a big W for KOTOR fans, especially how the remake was delayed. I seriously can't wait to see this! Edit: The Trailer was phenomenal!! I love Avren's design. I can't wait to see this series unravel!
Ive been a fan since 2015 and seeing these projects just come to life astounds me but but late than never i guess and as for the delay of the game it was supposed to release on kotors anniversary but since everyone knows how lucasfilms games get when they decide to make a huge project aspyr is deciding to release the game on their own deadline and so that is one reason why it was delayed
I always liked Trask Ulgo, I felt he deserved more credit for essentially helping you off the Spire. Seeing that snippet at the end was just amazing. Really breathed life into his sacrifice for Revan and made him much more human rather than just a throw away tutorial character.
I remember the only other time he’s potentially mentioned beyond the tutorial is when you run into Darth Bandon again. You can say he’ll pay for killing Trask.
Amazing work. I've written book drafts of KOTOR 1 when I was younger, and I know how hard it is to get the pacing of a Bioware RPG right and getting an amnestic Revan right. The fact that you are sticking with it, getting the metas, voice acting, and animations right, I have full faith in you all. Really interested in how you'll interpret the amnesia and I can't wait to see it.
This is how Revan should look like as a republic commando. Hope his mullet hair and beard will return during the series. Even voice is close to the original. This is a character that SW really needs. Strong mentally and charismatic man overshadowing every sith or jedi with his any move.
this was AWESOME. Carth actually sounds like he's voiced by Raphael Sbarge, everything looks fantastic. between how realistic the faces are and how amazingly you've captured the Endar Spire, i am BEYOND impressed by this. especially considering that this kind of quality is usually something only seen in BIG budget games
I’d respectfully disagree, he has an accent here and original Carth doesn’t. Not to mention he sounds more like Nicolas Roye who played Echo 216 in Halo Infinite.

Here we go!! I like how you open with Carth’s comment on the blurred distinction between Jedi and Sith in this period of history-sets the tone perfectly! Also loved seeing our boy Trask wielding a vibrosword like a boss. For the Republic!
If I remember well, during a livestream or some sort of update, the creator said that he got told by lucasfilm to stop with the kotor series so it won't get confused with the kotor remake. Sadly it came to a cease and desist in the end.
This looks way better than I could have imagined it!!! Following this project that started as a dream of a die-hard Star Wars fan, that fan teaching himself Unreal Engine, building a following and now this community, and giving us all hope when Aspyr made us feel there was none has been incredible. Seeing the recreation/rebirth of these beloved Star Wars characters and the amount of love and attention to detail being put into this project is phenomenal. This is beyond amazing! I have no words to describe how good this looks for a fan made project and how excited I am for it! It looks truly epic, and I was surprised by how accurate Carth’s impression was and the voice acting in general. Thank you for doing something this incredible! I do wish Avren had the mullet, but I love how he’s a mix of a lot of the different avatars you could play as.

@@JC-zj2is DC's cinematic universe has been hit and miss but their animated movie department be going crazy. They might not all be the best thing ever but each movie shows there's a level of nerdy detail and care put into the voice acting and interpretation of event sin the comic books. I can't even imagine how far Star Wars could've grown if novel + comic book stories like Jango Fett: Open Seasons or Tales of the Jedi got an animated adaptation.

This project is something that the team was (and still is) extremely passionate about, but none of us were as passionate as Scott Anderson, better known as Unreal Cinema. Scott was in charge of writing and editing the scripts, casting, directing, character creation/design, object design, area design, animation, PR, and the making of promotional materials. He wanted every part of the project to be as polished as possible. Because of this momentous amount of work, there have been some health concerns that Scott has been dealing with. As a result, Scott hasn't been able to take care of his health while making the series. Our biggest concern has always been that of the fans. With the pace that they were on, we'd all die of old age before they get past Taris with these episode anyways. I am still not entirely convinced if they ever even intended to finish the project in the first place and it was all just a scam to make some money on the side. It's always easy to bail by making up some bullshit excuse, the health issue one is always a common one.
I don’t understand as to why he kept the Patreon going for so long. I really want my money back and so do other people. I feel empathy for his condition, but he had a decent Patreon subscriber number that should have addressed through shutting down the page or refunding us the money.

This is probably the first time in a while I can confidently say I'll be looking forward to this, for the simple reason that it's a fan series and not made by Disney and the amount of fanmade things I've seen that infinitely outdo Disney Star Wars shows is ridiculous, at the very least I'll be able to appreciate the sheer amount of effort that will be put into this.

2 years ago this project was announced which was based on adapting KOTOR (which is a large game by the way) into a series, and they have yet to release a single episode. I mean 2 years, and we haven't even gone past Endar Spire lol. With this type of slow production, you got to wonder, if they ever even intented to finish it in the first place and just wanted to wow some people with few teasers and trailers here for some easy money.
The mods on discord made an announcement that this project is cancelled. The creator didn't show any life signs for over a year now so they just decided to cancel it.
Playing kotor was one of the best memories I’ve ever had. The fact that you are making these brings back so many memories and makes he want to attempt to do them same
So there hasn't been any updates since this dropped. Nothing on Twitter and I don't think there's been anything on Patreon either since September 2022. More than wanting to see the project realised, I genuinely just hope UC is doing OK.
They stated in their discord channel a couple months ago that production has been "halted." They say that this doesn't mean that the project is dead or discontinued but that's typically what is said right before a project's actual death. Kinda sad Edit: it seems they never actually got permission to make the series

Carth actually sounds like he's voiced by Raphael Sbarge, everything looks fantastic. between how realistic the faces are and how amazingly you've captured the Endar Spire, i am BEYOND impressed by this. especially considering that this kind of quality is usually something only seen in BIG budget games
I’d respectfully disagree, he has an accent here and original Carth doesn’t. Not to mention he sounds more like Nicolas Roye who played Echo 216 in Halo Infinite.

If I remember well, during a livestream or some sort of update, the creator said that he got told by lucasfilm to stop with the kotor series so it won't get confused with the kotor remake. Sadly it came to a cease and desist in the end.
This looks way better than I could have imagined it!!! Following this project that started as a dream of a die-hard Star Wars fan, that fan teaching himself Unreal Engine, building a following and now this community, and giving us all hope when Aspyr made us feel there was none has been incredible. Seeing the recreation/rebirth of these beloved Star Wars characters and the amount of love and attention to detail being put into this project is phenomenal. They might not all be the best thing ever but each movie shows there's a level of nerdy detail and care put into the voice acting and interpretation of event sin the comic books. I can't even imagine how far Star Wars could've grown if novel + comic book stories like Jango Fett: Open Seasons or Tales of the Jedi got an animated adaptation.

according to one of the moderators:
“Hi @everyone, our apologies for the long wait.
This project is something that the team was (and still is) extremely passionate about, but none of us were as passionate as Scott Anderson, better known as Unreal Cinema. Scott was in charge of writing and editing the scripts, casting, directing, character creation/design, object design, area design, animation, PR, and the making of promotional materials. He wanted every part of the project to be as polished as possible. Because of this momentous amount of work, there have been some health concerns that Scott has been dealing with. As a result, Scott hasn't been able to take care of his health while making the series.
Our biggest concern has always been that of the fans. We wanted to create something truly amazing for all Star Wars and KotOR lovers to see. We desperately wanted to update everyone on the status of the project during the entire period since the previous video, but also had to take into account Scott's privacy. Because we have been unable to make contact until recently we could not give any definitive information, our sincerest apologies for this.
As of now, the Unreal Cinema KotOR series is canceled and the Patreon has officially been closed. Sadly, we are unable to do a community post on the TH-cam channel to let all the subscribers know. We did not have the keys to the Patreon or the TH-cam. The server will stay open if you guys wish but it will not be dedicated to the Unreal Cinema KotOR series.
We understand everyone's frustration and we understand if there's still many questions left to be answered. The mods and the cast will remain active in this server to hopefully provide answers to any questions you might still have, although we might not be able to answer all of them.

With the pace that they were on, we'd all die of old age before they get past Taris with these episode anyways. I am still not entirely convinced if they ever even intended to finish the project in the first place and it was all just a scam to make some money on the side. This looks amazing. The scene with Trask facing down Bandon was just awesome. Can't wait for the full project. Both games are my favorite in Star Wars.
This is probably the first time in a while I can confidently say I'll be looking forward to this, for the simple reason that it's a fan series and not made by Disney and the amount of fanmade things I've seen that infinitely outdo Disney Star Wars shows is ridiculous, at the very least I'll be able to appreciate the sheer amount of effort that will be put into this.

2 years ago this project was announced which was based on adapting KOTOR (which is a large game by the way) into a series, and they have yet to release a single episode. I mean 2 years, and we haven't even gone past Endar Spire lol. With this type of slow production, you got to wonder, if they ever even intented to finish it in the first place and just wanted to wow some people with few teasers and trailers here for some easy money.

So there hasn't been any updates since this dropped. Nothing on Twitter and I don't think there's been anything on Patreon either since September 2022. More than wanting to see the project realised, I genuinely just hope UC is doing OK.
They stated in their discord channel a couple months ago that production has been "halted." They say that this doesn't mean that the project is dead or discontinued but that's typically what is said right before a project's actual death. Kinda sad
