They haven’t been hunted for 88 years since the last one died in captivity. If they exist then there should be thousands out there as surely they have been breeding. Either that or they are great at hide and seek.

I haven't seen anything in nature that I chose to ignore that would be considered unbelievable. However, I have seen really amazing things, perfectly believable, that I chose to just sit and watch. It's so much better to just experience it.

Within the last couple of days, Neil Waters uploaded a video that will change your mind if you think they are extinct.

I agree they could be around, the issue is Neil Waters doesn't have a ton of credibility. Specially after the stunt he pulled by telling everyone he filmed one then proceeded to show a wallaby

Neil keeps uploading images of foxes and the joey was a tabby cat, the last video it was foxes, a blind man on a galloping horse could see that

As a Tasmanian i find it funny all you fools coming here to look for a thylacine. Won’t find em but they are DEFINATELY here. Too much emphasis on the west. Midlands 100%

I'm a sucker for anything Thylacine. The TH-cam algorithm has picked up on this and spits back video suggestions on a daily basis. With that said, this guy makes sense. An old buddy of mine used to say-It's like the dog chasing after the car, once you catch it, what do you do with it? What multiple forms of exploitation would take place if it were discovered? Thylacine tours? Billionaires descending to where they are located. People turning up with their (fill in large breed of dog) and causing the same issue that dingos did. So many things could go wrong. It's tough because promoting it could definitely help with it, but people are so selfish and careless.

I think if there was as much searching for the Tasmanian tiger for the Javan tiger it would be found. There super remote areas in Java that could support a tiger with lots of prey

It was Hans Naarding, not Nick Mooney, a Tasmanian wildlife officer who claimed to see one at close view in 1982. In 1998 Martin Corkill saw a thyacine is Tasmania's central highlands and also cast paw prints that Nick Mooney said were unmistakable. Probably the only only two credible sightings. So the Thylacine was probably around until the early 2000's In Tassie. Here is Martin's interview: th-cam.com/video/Ul2Z7PNWtSM/w-d-xo.html
