- Chris Harrison was with “Extra’s” Renee Bargh Wednesday morning, fresh off Peter Weber’s wild “Bachelor” finale.
Harrison said he is still trying to figure out what happened himself, after the episode showed Hannah Ann and Peter breaking up, then Peter trying to patch things up with Madison. I can see why Peter is indecisive now. If that is what he has had to deal with as he grew up when he made a decision and that is his moms reaction. So over the top. It would definitely make him doubt himself. His mom needs to learn boundaries. We get that she loves her son. For Peter to develop self confidence he needs to know his parents will be there for him no matter what decision he makes. Let him make his own decisions even if it wasn't the decision you would make. That is how you learn. I also agree that he seemed to want women more who weren't so available...the thrill of the chase. Love Chris Harrison!

I watch alone too and know a number of women who also watch alone. Also, Nielsen tries to capture all the different ways that people watch TV which is difficult because it includes live, delayed, DVR, and or streaming from multiple devices like a phone, tablet or a PC. To accurately collect and marry this information plus report it accurately is not an easy thing to do.

Reality Steve says he heard a bunch of rumors that this guy is a total player. I have to believe it. I think he chased for Madison so hard because she wouldn’t give it up to him. It’s the thrill of the chase. Madison needs to run for the hills because of Peter not because of Barb. He was never ready to get married.

The tea was that whenever Peter was single, he would party (as lots of single dudes do). He liked going country line dancing and supposedly, every time he went to a country line dancing bar, he always had a hot girl coming home with him-and the girls were always young (like 19/20 years old). Does that make him a player? Not really. He’s doing that stuff when he’s single and it’s based on mutual consent.
He’s 30 years old and he wants to settle down. Most people stop partying around that age. How many dudes in their mid 30s do you see at the club? So when people talk about his lifestyle, people don’t realize that Peter was already ready to dial back on that because that’s part of wanting to settle down

I kind of disagree with that. She seems very rehearsed. I also think Peter had no intention of not following through on his promises to her. He thought he could but he couldn’t. He deserved empathy and grace. I’m not saying that she wasn’t right about what she said but if she truly loved him, she would have done that in private and given him empathy. People are human and make mistakes. If someone intentionally hurts you, then yes, go after them OR just leave. However, if someone you love unintentionally hurts you, you should be able to give them empathy instead of hurt them back. That is true maturity.

Peter has a clear pattern of a “conqueror/player” type:
1. He strings Victoria F. Along the entire season because he wasn’t clear if she wanted him or not then after sex and her telling him she loves him he dumps her
2. Not sure if Hannah Ann is going to show up to the final rose ceremony and then when she does he proposes to her only to dump her for his unresolved feelings for Hannah B/Madison
3. Gets dumped by Madison and leaves his engagement to his last “conquest” to capture her affections which he’s not sure he has
Once he has assurance that he’s won someone’s heart and doesn’t have to fight for love he loses interest and goes to the next person to conquer. All in all this BOY is trasshhhhhh

The one problem I see coming is that Peter is going to stick up for Madison. Comprehension is often a big problem. She said Madi is religious and she & Peter are spiritual. There’s a huge difference. She never said she had never met Madison. She said Madison told her and I quote, ‘I’m not in love with Peter and I won’t accept a proposal’ What parent wouldn’t be upset at that?
I loved how Chris reminded us all these people are real. They have vulnerably shared their personal lives with us on national television - that is not easy. The process of the Bachelor is so intense - one of the most important decisions of your life is put on a reality tv show with thirty people pursuing you. I do not envy Peter's position at all and can understand how insanely difficult this was for him (and would be for anyone put in this crazy situation). Were there mistakes made? Yes. But, I think any of us in a situation like this would act out of character to a degree. His family loves him so much and just want the best for him - I know I have overreacted when someone I love is going through a tough situation. I think we should all have a little more empathy and understanding for people. ps - Hannah Ann & Madison are both KWEENS. Wish them all the best

When Chris Harrison is uncomfortable, you know it’s bad! I felt so terrible for Peter. I know everyone feels bad for Madison and I do also but that was Peter’s mom. His own mother was treating him like trash and like a 2 year old all at the same time. Just so aggressive and terrible. That family clearly has enmeshment issues. I hope Peter moves out and can heal from that dysfunction.

No one seems to be saying this so I’ll risk it, and get my thick skin ready-I think Chris Harrison should NOT have gotten involved. He should have left it up to Peter to decide if he wanted to contact Madison. Peter and Hannah Ann broke up on their own, Peter could have reached out to Madison and maybe would have in time. I lost some respect for Chris Harrison and the show because while it may have been 100% a desire to help Peter, for me, Chris going to see MAdison without Peter’s knowledge felt like a show stunt. I think he caused so much more trouble for all involved ( families included) by doing that. Let love take it’s course. As a young mom in law... let me explain something! What Barb did... INEXCUSABLE!!!!!! She showed her true colors!!!!!!! You have nothing to do with who your son chooses except to raise him well and let go!!!!! And lots of prayer!!! Madison was grace under pressure. And let me add... Barb didn’t just suddenly become this way. In Madison she saw someone she wouldn’t be able to control. Barb, your son brings home a daughter-in-law, not a daughter. How you treat her will determine your relationship. What you probably didn’t think through is the fact that every potential daughter in law, and her MOM and DAD will be able to watch the way you treated a young potential wife onscreen for the world. I am a mom to 2 sons, one married to the beautiful girl of his choosing which makes me extremely happy, and i also am mom to 2 beautiful, wise young daughters. Exactly and well said, Chris🙌🏻 TBH, the history of the bachelor(ette) does not have the best statistics. So Barb should’ve just supported her son’s decision and stayed on the sideline. She was not letting up and those eyes were crazy! I hope Madison realizes sooner than later, she deserves much better and Peter is going to walk away when something better or easier comes along.

@@SumCommonSense Yup. The big win in these shows is becoming an influencer. You can make a lot of money doing that and have a nice life if it is something you feel like doing. When I looked the night of the finale, Madison had a HUGE lead over Hannah Ann. But by the next day, Hannah Ann started closing the gap. Being on Ellen couldn't have hurt that. (By the way, but Ellen and The Bachelor are Warner TV properties...so the cross promotion makes sense.)

What everyone fails to realize is that the virgin’s father told Peter that he would not give his blessing to their marriage. So they have opposition coming from both sides. Both of their parents are against this relationship. Peter does need to grow up.
IMHO, he is the most immature bachelor ever. He’s not hateful; he is simply immature. He needs to grow some cojones.
Additionally, putting down Peter because he lives with his parents is wrong. In the Hispanic culture, unmarried children continue to live with their parents. You also seem to be forgetting that he is a pilot so he is gone a lot of the time. Why should he waste money on an apartment or home that he’s hardly staying at because of his travels?
As a grandmother of five, I would definitely tell my grandchildren how I really feel.

This may be the first wedge between Peter and his once beloved mother. She was extremely insensitive. I liked Madison right from the beginning. Hannah Ann I learned to like a lot but I think shes going to continue her modelling career which could take her who knows where. Madison is a good girl and I cant see why Peters parents would be so negative esp as they liked her in the beginning.

Chris was loving this outcome and he could not have set it up better. Everyone’s talking about the finale and oh those ratings! I am irritated at him. First he tells Peter that Hannah Ann might not show up for the final rose and she does. He goes to Auburn to “see how Madison is doing” and to see if she wants to come back to talk to Peter when we all know she would be invited to the finale anyway. And then there’s Barb. The cameras were all set on her in the audience and Chris just decides to ask her thoughts? Really. Please be honest. But, even with my irritation at Chris, this was so entertaining and here I am checking TH-cam for opinions. I’ll watch next season, but I’ll assume Chris is always lying. Such fun.

She's human and was just operating in a reactive state (fight, flight or freeze). Her panic for wanting what is best for her son, caused her to fight for him. I believe her intentions are good, and she has my empathy. When a person is feeling like that, they should step away and breathe/decompress instead of leaning into it. I feel bad that she is getting such a bad wrap.

You know what? Here is my personal opinion. No one has to agree. Madison knew that the “4 times in a windmill” guy was definitely going to take his shot in the fantasy suites. In the end of the day she knew what she signed up for. Also, I had a lot of respect when I thought she walked away, yet her seeing how Peter treated Hannah A and being okay with that man is distasteful. A man of God would not act like that.
Also, let’s leave his mom out of it. He is a grown ass man. Acting like an indecisive child is on him.
I agree with all of that actually. Madison knew what she was getting into or at least she should’ve known. Honestly think she should’ve had a conversation with him about purity during the conversation about religion and not after the rose ceremony with only three people left. I think Peter Is really different than I thought he was at the beginning of the show for so many reasons including keeping Victoria until the end. I think Barb was just very vested in her son and everybody’s making her out to be a horrible villain and I hate that for her. And what hypocrites: the week before they were talking about online bullying and that’s all they’re doing now to Barb.

He chased her hard. The scene with her and chris shot in feb 11, he broke up with hannah a week after engagement, he chased her after that, through all end of nov to december. So it isnt her who came back, she gave him a chance but now they are in rocky place plus his mother antics. She knows what she signed up for, what she doesnt know she will develop feelings for him, she join for experience and who knew she got to final and somehow connected with him., maybe you should try then you can talk from the experience joining this show.
