She had personality on the show she was just shy. Every person doesn't have to be bubbly all the time. Her dinner date with Arie when she told him she's in love with him was the most poignant moment of that season, that whole encounter had so much depth. So much, in fact, that Arie started getting a panic attack. She was my favorite from that season and they make an awesome couple!
I would love to see a video of Lauren talking about everything that was going through her head with the finale when she wasn't picked all the way to her and Arie getting back together. Was she trying to move on? Did she know he would come back to her? I would love to hear her story from her perspective.
She actually did speak about it in an interview. Something along the lines of she felt like it would be a dream if he would still reach out to her as she felt he made a mistake. She felt like he was definitely her person
Question: When giving out roses at a rose ceremony are you told how long to pause before saying a name? Do the producers tell you to pick up the next rose then count one-Mississippi, two-mississippi, three-mississippi....
No haha, it takes them a while to set up these angles and shots anyway, so you're kind of giving three or four names at a time with a break in between. (Which, if you think about it, in early episodes when there's still more than a dozen women, IS a lot of time. Ends up being 3 hours at the very least, and thats not even including ITMs and exits.) You're told to take a breath before saying each name, but that's about it. If there were to be longer pauses than there already are, with how long the ceremony is, while all the contestants just stand around, it would be interminable. And I think all the girls would just leave from frustration, lol. They're supposed to take a breath before each name, but that's about it. Not a 3/4 Mississippi system, lol. So all those looooong shots of girls looking around, that you think are of the lead making the girls wait, are actually just the close up angles of them that are set up for reactions. So it makes it look like the lead is pausing longer than he is, especially with the dramatic music. But really, on its own, without any long pausing, the ceremony is edited to look like it's only a couple of minutes, when its actually hours. So I'd say editing department does a damn good job of making it look intense but short, when it's actually really tedious and boring. So as I said, if on top of how long it already is, the producers made the lead pause for a long time before giving a rose --- when he's already taking breaks every couple of names to set up for shots (and to get the next names if he's forgotten the order) -- I think the girls would kill someone. Bc the rose ceremony is already so taxing as it is, and many leads/contestants have said it's the most annoying part of the show bc of how grueling it is, so to add on even more time would drive everyone nuts, lol.
Good question! The rose ceremonies are very confusing to me. So choppy and seems highly edited especially when it comes down to last two contestants...hero v villain
bri nichole colton says that the dates are picked by producers based on a “ranked list” of contestants by the bachelor so production tries to even the playing field by giving lower ranked girls the dates
Do they interrupt dates to do ITMs? During dates, where does everyone get ready before the night portion? Does the bachelor have any say in what the dates are? When traveling, do all the girls go on one flight or do they separate you to prevent spoilers? Do producers tell you what you should wear for a date (if it’ll be sporty, etc.)? Who gets groceries in the house? What do you eat when you’re traveling internationally and staying in hotels?
Yes, they interrupt dates. No, the bachelor doesn’t plan any of the dates. The girls go on one flight and they try to get away with it by saying they’re a dance team or other things. Read some Reality Steve, he talks about this stuff.

Apparently the when they eat, it messes up the mic quality, so they film for a bit with all the fancy food, scarf it down, and then film itm’s. (via hannah brown)

When you go on a date, after the day portion do you go back to the hotel to get ready for supper? Or do you have to bring a change of clothes? Idk I guess I’m just confused how that works.
Pamela Jaeger so they will pause the date and each of you go to a separate hotel with your producers. You do an interview then eat/change. That’s why you don’t see many of the contestants or Bachelor eat during the night time portion of the date.

I actually just started watching starting with Colton’s season so my question is based from the seasons I’ve seen. At a certain point did you know who you wanted to pick? Like Colton ended it and chased Cassie, but had she stayed he may not have jumped the fence like he did and ended earlier than planned. So if you decided, I’m done! I pick this person, but there’s still 4,5 or maybe 6 people left. Can you do that? Or do you have to finish out to the last two?
On peters season Hannah said that it was always gonna be Jedd at the end, so I do believe their heart chooses for them early on in the show...I respected Colton for chasing Cassie because he knew she was the only one for him!
Lauren and arie are my favorite couple from the bachelor franchise. They actually got married which is rare now days in the franchise. And they make an effort to connect to their audience without being clout chasers. I’ve been loving their youtube vids 💕 Ps- I’m a small youtuber
If you cant eat at the dinner portion, when do they feed you? When traveling from location to location on each date are you in the same car? Do the women typically try to figure out is the man is right for them too or are they blinded by infatuation? Is it just edited out? Do you get to notify your family you are traveling abroad for safety purposes? Do the producers plan certain dates depending on the girls? (ex. if someone is scared of flying do they purposely put them on a flying date?) Are the contestants and lead on the same plane together when flying? Do they book your flight tickets in advance before knowing who is going to be travelling?
I understand that “villains” tend to stay on the show longer because the bachelor is unaware of the drama they’re starting, but do the producers make the bachelor pick the “villain” last in the rose ceremonies for more drama? It always seems to go down like that haha

And also: do the producers encourage you to tell a “sad story”? It seems so forced when I am watching.
I'm pretty sure they have those conversations but they get edited out. When Ben Flajnik was the Bachelor he was talking to his date Nikki about her being a hygienist working 9-6pm. So I think they'll edit out whatever they think is boring.
My questions would be, 1) how soon do you start to develop real feelings on the show? & 2) Do producers make you speak to certain family members during hometowns or have the family ask certain questions?
I’ve been a fan of Arie’s since Emily’s season. She made the wrong choice in picking Jed. But it all works out in the end because you both seen genuinely happy. Congratulations.
Good question- I want to know this too, because I’ve seen some contestants show up and be disappointed, at least in past seasons- I remember one guy was a jerk to Ashley because he was hoping that Emily would be the bachelorette that season
They usually don't know at first, but when they go to the hotel, they're told. They have an option to back out then. I can't remember who, but I know that a couple of people backed out when they found out who one of the bachelors was.

(Because I’ve heard if you don’t last 2 years you have to give it back which makes no sense if you do have to pay) -when someone gets eliminated do they actually leave right away do they just book them a flight home or have them stay in a hotel for awhile (how long) -does the bachelor get to pick who he goes on dates with and in what order? The women are usually dressed appropriately for dates even though the date card is not always clear. Do the producers tell them what to wear or tell them where they are going?
Do the producers encourage a person to give the lead a surprise visit? Is the order in which hometowns are laid out on the show as they occurred because I was thinking about the distance and location of states and usually also end back at the mansion for the rose ceremony so my most logical thinking is from farthest state to closest one to LA? Also does the participant get to spend time with their family after they had their hometown visit or are they sent right away to California?
1) Yes, of course. They can be nudged in a certain direction, or to make an appearance by saying things like "Blah blah told me he misses you... Why don't you go see him?" or "I'm not sure Blah blah is confident in your relationship.... Maybe paying him a visit would make him realize how serious you are." etc. These sort of leading questions and suggestions make the contestant understand the hint they're being given. And also, that they're being given the "ok" to go make a surprise visit. (Bc of course, contestants are not allowed to just pop in out of nowhere or go visit the lead, especially when they're abroad and often don't even know where the lead is staying. So if your producer is saying something like that, then you know you've been given the ok to make that visit. And then the producer will give you address or let you know where the lead is so they can have camera crew ready.) This is why you rarely see a contestant NOT take the opportunity for a surprise visit -- bc its a chance to get out of the house away from the other girls (or guys), and it makes you feel special to be able to have been allowed to go visit them. It means extra time with the lead, and extra time on cam, which is something the contestants know is valuable. So they will always seize that opportunity whenever their producer is giving them the pass. Also, contestants ask producers and crew all the time if they can go visit the lead, but of course they can't and aren't allowed, so whenever they are given that rare chance, most of them jump on it, no matter the circumstance. Unless they feel it's really inappropriate and don't wanna start drama -- bc they know word will get back to the other contestants. Which is why you see just as many contestants make surprise visits, as you see ones who don't. Bc its a double edged sword, and depends on how the contestant is interpreting the offer, and when it's occurring. Of course, most of the time, the reason the producer is pushing the contestant to make a surprise visit is to start drama in the house, or force a break up. But unfortunately, 99.9% of the time, the contestant is unaware of that and thinks they're doing something romantic and sweet, bc their producer is telling them that. The producer is making you believe it's "for the best" or "would be a great idea" and gets you all psyched out, when oftentimes, they're just doing it bc they're setting you up for failure, or drama. Basically, as a contestant - or lead - you always believe your producer has your best interest at heart, bc they're always with you, and they kind of become your confidant when you have no one else to talk to. So you trust their suggestions, and go with what they say. Producers in reality TV have a really good knack for getting you excited about something that ultimately might not be for the best, just bc they convince you it is. They lie, and embellish the truth, A LOT. Like saying "I'm sure he would love a visit from you!" when maybe he's exhausted and had a long day, and is ready to get rid of a girl, if he has to see one again. So that forces a goodbye and tearful exit from the contestant, which results in a "I'm so blindsided! I thought he really liked me" during her limo exit. When as a viewer, we're like "Uh, what? Where'd she get that from?" Welp, oftentimes these contestants are not as crazy as you think, and they're getting those ideas from their producer, who's leading them to believe it is that way. After all, the producers want to make good TV. It's their job. So they need to manipulate you a bit. 2) No, the order in which you see hometowns is not necessarily the order in which they occur. It's all just based on technicality and timing. So yes of course, taking into account distance and destination. But its not always farthest to closest to mansion. It's more about production timing, and access to family homes or rentals, and to the family's schedule and availability. It differs every time. The crew sets up at each family home about a week before filming, so it occurs in whichever order is most convenient to them based on whats ready, etc etc. But sometimes, the order you see on your screen IS the order in which it happened - it honestly just depends on the narrative they're trying to build. (Bc oftentimes, they're changing up the order on our screen to save the most dramatic hometown for last, or to change things up so there's more variety and suspense, if the order in which it actually occurred is too dull or recurrent.) This goes the same for fantasy suites and final two dates. Honestly, MANY parts of the show are edited and switched around so that it follows the dramatic narrative they're trying to create, bc if they showed the real order it went in, it might give it away. Other times, if it's good enough, they're just sticking to the real timeline. 3) No, unfortunately, the lead and contestants are not allowed to spend more time with their families than what you see on cam. (but of course there are many other moments that are filmed, that are just edited out bc of time.) But honestly, it's quite a long time of camera crew setting up and filming so it amounts to a full day, most of the time. Or at least a few hours. And then, depending on what you're seeing, they have some down time after. But they have to leave with crew, unfortunately and cannot stay fully alone with their families. One or two exceptions can be made, but essentially, the contestant has to leave with the crew, when they leave. So they're not granted any real alone time, hence why all the hometowns seem so dramatic and there are a lot of misunderstandings. Bc the family doesn't have much information, and isn't given any real private access to the contestant.
Totally get the parted hair. That moment when your hair starts getting flat on THE side so you switch and man is it awkward as heck feeling if you can even make it through Lol! I appreciate the extra sharing Lol!

Did either of you have a feeling you'd be together after just meeting on the first night? When the audience sees two group dates and one or two one-on-one dates in a given episode, do these take place over on week? Or are they more spaced out? Or are they back to back to back?
When/how did you guys meet before the show? I can’t really remember, but was this big on your season? They made Kelly and Peter meeting each other huge.
How does the finale Rose ceremony happen, does like, when you make a decision, do you tell Chris Harrison, your result, do you get the whole say in that, to create the order of the final two arrival?
When do they film the introduction packages before the limo entrance scenes. Are they filmed by the contestants from their application? Or do the producers go to everyone’s house to film once they know who’s on the show?
Since you don’t eat at the dinner we get to see, do you get to actually have dinner together off camera? Why do some girls get to just go see the bachelor sometimes? It seems like everyone would just make up reasons to get to go see him. Who decides who gets to go and why? And do you know they’re coming or is really a surprise like they always make it seem?
1) Your producer decides if you can go visit the lead or not. So no, of course, not everyone can go visit the lead if they want to. The idea has to be suggested by your producer, or granted if you ask. So if you see a surprise visit, always know that in reality, it was most likely the producer's plan or suggestion, and not the contestant themselves. Bc when the contestants ask themselves, they know the answer is usually no, bc of the rules of the show. 2) Sometimes, the lead does know who's coming, bc his producer gives him a heads up, and oftentimes, he doesn't, hence the surprised reaction. The lead may just think camera crew is there to film some solo shots or questions, or that Chris Harrison or his producer is coming for an interview. Basically, the producers control what the lead knows. Which is why, most of the time, the lead is surprised to see a contestant make a surprise visit -- bc he had no idea they were coming, and thought cameras were there for a different reason. But when it's late at night, or after a group date, usually the lead will know that if there are cameras there, he should expect someone to come. However, doesn't mean he knows who it is, unless there's a specific reason for the visit, but that's why the lead sometimes doesn't look so shocked during these surprised visits. It's bc cameras were there waiting with him anyway, so he knew someone was going to come. Also, sometimes the actual entrance wasn't captured, or there was a problem with visual/audio, so they need to refilm it, which is why it seems extra forced and weird. (Like when Colton went to see Cassie post-fence jump, or when Kelsey visited Peter. Those scenes were both reshot due to issues, so the entrances seem unnatural, bc that's not what their real reactions were.) 3) The dinner during one on ones is off camera, in hotel room with room service. You usually eat alone, or with your producer and handler. That's it. Or with crew, if you want to. But it's pretty rushed during these dates, to be honest, so you kind of just wolf everything down before you have to go on the date. (or after, if you didn't have time. bc you're allowed to order room service whenever you want, as long as it's within budget/spending limit - which is flexible for food.) Oftentimes, bc of how rushed they are, contestants complained post-show that they were hungry a lot, and spent a lot of time just drinking to fill their stomachs. (Since that's most of what's done on the one on one, since the food is mostly just for show.) Hope this answers all your questions :) xx

Do the girls share accessories on the show. There was a pair of earrings or some type of jewelry that was seen on 3 different girls. What about the lead? Do they have a stylist? I saw a link on Facebook where you can buy the clothes you’ve seen the girls wear for rose ceremonies Also, how is it that a surprise guest just shows up? Is that produced. Becca’s ex showed up on your season. Cassies dad on the next season. None of these places are a short plane ride away. They’re usually expensive places to get too. Then the guest is there for a couple hours. It’s hard to believe this is not produced. Also, how would any of these people know where filming is taking place?
Perfect example of producers being your friend was the clip they showed (after rose ceremony in episode 7) Lauren expressing to a producer how hard it became and trying to get emotional support. "I know I should be exited that we're going to Tuscany and we're like traveling the world and it's so cool and fun and like new places and blahblahblah, etc etc". The producers must've been rooting for you, and giving you encouragement and support throughout the whole show. I would love to see you guys make more videos like this.
Questions: 1. For picking dates, is that the bachelor's decision or a mix of also the producer's decision? 2. Before getting on the show, do they have the contestants take like a personality/compatibility test to see if they'd actually match with the bachelor/bachelorette? Or do they just hope that at least one of them will be compatible? 3. Same for physical appearance^^^. Do the producers get to know what the bachelor/bachelorette's physical "type" is? 4. What if the contestants dont like the bachelor/bachelorette or dont think they are attractive? Because you dont know who the person is until you're already on the show, right? So... what if the contestant is disappointed? It always seems like everyone is so excited. But that's not really real life...?

Do the girls have to buy their own dresses for ceremonies, etc? How many days are in between each rose ceremony? What do you do on the 1-on-1 to fill the day because we only see a small part?
Contestants fly together, and lead flies separately earlier to set up for solo shots/interviews. The only time contestants are fully separated is when it gets down to the wire, but at that point there's not usually anymore international travel, so there's nothing to worry about.

They met at a race I think, or a basketball game (or some other sporting event) a year before the show, and Arie was in a relationship at the time so no he didn't remember meeting her and they didn't know each other, it was only that interaction. That is what I remember them saying in other interviews
Do the girls go on make up and hair classes to go on tv before coming on the show. They always have beautiful make up, it's never patchy, when they sweat it's still on! How is perfection all the time? Do the girls do touch up, do producers help?

When a contestant goes to see the bachelor/bachelorette during the time there’s no date going on; do producers tell the bachelor/bachelorette the contestant is on their way? Do the rest of the cast not know they went to see them? Do they prepare the bachelor/bachelorette so they can just be sitting there doing nothing? 😂

Mary Tinney I think she feels more comfortable now than she did on the show.
She had personality on the show she was just shy. Every person doesn't have to be bubbly all the time. Her dinner date with Arie when she told him she's in love with him was the most poignant moment of that season, that whole encounter had so much depth. So much, in fact, that Arie started getting a panic attack. She was my favorite from that season and they make an awesome couple!

No haha, it takes them a while to set up these angles and shots anyway, so you're kind of giving three or four names at a time with a break in between. (Which, if you think about it, in early episodes when there's still more than a dozen women, IS a lot of time. Ends up being 3 hours at the very least, and thats not even including ITMs and exits.) You're told to take a breath before saying each name, but that's about it. If there were to be longer pauses than there already are, with how long the ceremony is, while all the contestants just stand around, it would be interminable. And I think all the girls would just leave from frustration, lol.
They're supposed to take a breath before each name, but that's about it. Not a 3/4 Mississippi system, lol. So all those looooong shots of girls looking around, that you think are of the lead making the girls wait, are actually just the close up angles of them that are set up for reactions. So it makes it look like the lead is pausing longer than he is, especially with the dramatic music. But really, on its own, without any long pausing, the ceremony is edited to look like it's only a couple of minutes, when its actually hours.
So I'd say editing department does a damn good job of making it look intense but short, when it's actually really tedious and boring. So as I said, if on top of how long it already is, the producers made the lead pause for a long time before giving a rose --- when he's already taking breaks every couple of names to set up for shots (and to get the next names if he's forgotten the order) -- I think the girls would kill someone. Bc the rose ceremony is already so taxing as it is, and many leads/contestants have said it's the most annoying part of the show bc of how grueling it is, so to add on even more time would drive everyone nuts, lol.

Yes, they interrupt dates. No, the bachelor doesn’t plan any of the dates. The girls go on one flight and they try to get away with it by saying they’re a dance team or other things. Read some Reality Steve, he talks about this stuff.

Apparently the when they eat, it messes up the mic quality, so they film for a bit with all the fancy food, scarf it down, and then film itm’s. (via hannah brown)

Pamela Jaeger so they will pause the date and each of you go to a separate hotel with your producers. You do an interview then eat/change. That’s why you don’t see many of the contestants or Bachelor eat during the night time portion of the date.

I actually just started watching starting with Colton’s season so my question is based from the seasons I’ve seen. At a certain point did you know who you wanted to pick? Like Colton ended it and chased Cassie, but had she stayed he may not have jumped the fence like he did and ended earlier than planned. So if you decided, I’m done! I pick this person, but there’s still 4,5 or maybe 6 people left. Can you do that? Or do you have to finish out to the last two?

And also: do the producers encourage you to tell a “sad story”? It seems so forced when I am watching.

I'm pretty sure they have those conversations but they get edited out. When Ben Flajnik was the Bachelor he was talking to his date Nikki about her being a hygienist working 9-6pm. So I think they'll edit out whatever they think is boring.

They usually don't know at first, but when they go to the hotel, they're told. They have an option to back out then. I can't remember who, but I know that a couple of people backed out when they found out who one of the bachelors was.
They apply. Then they are accepted. Before the thing starts they tell you the bachelor so if you dont want them then you can take out your application

1) Yes, of course. They can be nudged in a certain direction, or to make an appearance by saying things like "Blah blah told me he misses you... Why don't you go see him?" or "I'm not sure Blah blah is confident in your relationship.... Maybe paying him a visit would make him realize how serious you are." etc. These sort of leading questions and suggestions make the contestant understand the hint they're being given. And also, that they're being given the "ok" to go make a surprise visit. (Bc of course, contestants are not allowed to just pop in out of nowhere or go visit the lead, especially when they're abroad and often don't even know where the lead is staying. So if your producer is saying something like that, then you know you've been given the ok to make that visit. And then the producer will give you address or let you know where the lead is so they can have camera crew ready.)
This is why you rarely see a contestant NOT take the opportunity for a surprise visit -- bc its a chance to get out of the house away from the other girls (or guys), and it makes you feel special to be able to have been allowed to go visit them. It means extra time with the lead, and extra time on cam, which is something the contestants know is valuable. So they will always seize that opportunity whenever their producer is giving them the pass. Also, contestants ask producers and crew all the time if they can go visit the lead, but of course they can't and aren't allowed, so whenever they are given that rare chance, most of them jump on it, no matter the circumstance. Unless they feel it's really inappropriate and don't wanna start drama -- bc they know word will get back to the other contestants. Which is why you see just as many contestants make surprise visits, as you see ones who don't. Bc its a double edged sword, and depends on how the contestant is interpreting the offer, and when it's occurring.
Of course, most of the time, the reason the producer is pushing the contestant to make a surprise visit is to start drama in the house, or force a break up. But unfortunately, 99.9% of the time, the contestant is unaware of that and thinks they're doing something romantic and sweet, bc their producer is telling them that. The producer is making you believe it's "for the best" or "would be a great idea" and gets you all psyched out, when oftentimes, they're just doing it bc they're setting you up for failure, or drama. Basically, as a contestant - or lead - you always believe your producer has your best interest at heart, bc they're always with you, and they kind of become your confidant when you have no one else to talk to. So you trust their suggestions, and go with what they say. Producers in reality TV have a really good knack for getting you excited about something that ultimately might not be for the best, just bc they convince you it is. They lie, and embellish the truth, A LOT. Like saying "I'm sure he would love a visit from you!" when maybe he's exhausted and had a long day, and is ready to get rid of a girl, if he has to see one again. So that forces a goodbye and tearful exit from the contestant, which results in a "I'm so blindsided! I thought he really liked me" during her limo exit. When as a viewer, we're like "Uh, what? Where'd she get that from?" Welp, oftentimes these contestants are not as crazy as you think, and they're getting those ideas from their producer, who's leading them to believe it is that way. After all, the producers want to make good TV. It's their job. So they need to manipulate you a bit.
2) No, the order in which you see hometowns is not necessarily the order in which they occur. It's all just based on technicality and timing. So yes of course, taking into account distance and destination. But its not always farthest to closest to mansion. It's more about production timing, and access to family homes or rentals, and to the family's schedule and availability. It differs every time. The crew sets up at each family home about a week before filming, so it occurs in whichever order is most convenient to them based on whats ready, etc etc. But sometimes, the order you see on your screen IS the order in which it happened - it honestly just depends on the narrative they're trying to build. (Bc oftentimes, they're changing up the order on our screen to save the most dramatic hometown for last, or to change things up so there's more variety and suspense, if the order in which it actually occurred is too dull or recurrent.) This goes the same for fantasy suites and final two dates. Honestly, MANY parts of the show are edited and switched around so that it follows the dramatic narrative they're trying to create, bc if they showed the real order it went in, it might give it away. Other times, if it's good enough, they're just sticking to the real timeline.
3) No, unfortunately, the lead and contestants are not allowed to spend more time with their families than what you see on cam. (but of course there are many other moments that are filmed, that are just edited out bc of time.) But honestly, it's quite a long time of camera crew setting up and filming so it amounts to a full day, most of the time. Or at least a few hours. And then, depending on what you're seeing, they have some down time after. But they have to leave with crew, unfortunately and cannot stay fully alone with their families. One or two exceptions can be made, but essentially, the contestant has to leave with the crew, when they leave. So they're not granted any real alone time, hence why all the hometowns seem so dramatic and there are a lot of misunderstandings. Bc the family doesn't have much information, and isn't given any real private access to the contestant.
Totally get the parted hair. That moment when your hair starts getting flat on THE side so you switch and man is it awkward as heck feeling if you can even make it through Lol! I appreciate the extra sharing Lol!

When do they film the introduction packages before the limo entrance scenes. Are they filmed by the contestants from their application? Or do the producers go to everyone’s house to film once they know who’s on the show?
Since you don’t eat at the dinner we get to see, do you get to actually have dinner together off camera? Why do some girls get to just go see the bachelor sometimes? It seems like everyone would just make up reasons to get to go see him. Who decides who gets to go and why? And do you know they’re coming or is really a surprise like they always make it seem?
1) Your producer decides if you can go visit the lead or not. So no, of course, not everyone can go visit the lead if they want to. The idea has to be suggested by your producer, or granted if you ask. So if you see a surprise visit, always know that in reality, it was most likely the producer's plan or suggestion, and not the contestant themselves. Bc when the contestants ask themselves, they know the answer is usually no, bc of the rules of the show.
2) Sometimes, the lead does know who's coming, bc his producer gives him a heads up, and oftentimes, he doesn't, hence the surprised reaction. The lead may just think camera crew is there to film some solo shots or questions, or that Chris Harrison or his producer is coming for an interview. Basically, the producers control what the lead knows. Which is why, most of the time, the lead is surprised to see a contestant make a surprise visit -- bc he had no idea they were coming, and thought cameras were there for a different reason. But when it's late at night, or after a group date, usually the lead will know that if there are cameras there, he should expect someone to come. However, doesn't mean he knows who it is, unless there's a specific reason for the visit, but that's why the lead sometimes doesn't look so shocked during these surprised visits. It's bc cameras were there waiting with him anyway, so he knew someone was going to come. Also, sometimes the actual entrance wasn't captured, or there was a problem with visual/audio, so they need to refilm it, which is why it seems extra forced and weird. (Like when Colton went to see Cassie post-fence jump, or when Kelsey visited Peter. Those scenes were both reshot due to issues, so the entrances seem unnatural, bc that's not what their real reactions were.)
3) The dinner during one on ones is off camera, in hotel room with room service. You usually eat alone, or with your producer and handler. That's it. Or with crew, if you want to. But it's pretty rushed during these dates, to be honest, so you kind of just wolf everything down before you have to go on the date. (or after, if you didn't have time. bc you're allowed to order room service whenever you want, as long as it's within budget/spending limit - which is flexible for food.) Oftentimes, bc of how rushed they are, contestants complained post-show that they were hungry a lot, and spent a lot of time just drinking to fill their stomachs. (Since that's most of what's done on the one on one, since the food is mostly just for show.)

Is there a certain order the women stand in during a rose ceremony? Like least important at the top or vise versa?
Do the girls share accessories on the show. There was a pair of earrings or some type of jewelry that was seen on 3 different girls. What about the lead? Do they have a stylist? I saw a link on Facebook where you can buy the clothes you’ve seen the girls wear for rose ceremonies
Also, how is it that a surprise guest just shows up? Is that produced. Becca’s ex showed up on your season. Cassies dad on the next season. None of these places are a short plane ride away. They’re usually expensive places to get too. Then the guest is there for a couple hours. It’s hard to believe this is not produced. Also, how would any of these people know where filming is taking place?
Perfect example of producers being your friend was the clip they showed (after rose ceremony in episode 7) Lauren expressing to a producer how hard it became and trying to get emotional support.
"I know I should be exited that we're going to Tuscany and we're like traveling the world and it's so cool and fun and like new places and blahblahblah, etc etc". The producers must've been rooting for you, and giving you encouragement and support throughout the whole show. I would love to see you guys make more videos like this.
Where and when are the ITM's filmed? Especially the ones during dates and the ones near the end that all have the same generic backdrop

Questions:
1. For picking dates, is that the bachelor's decision or a mix of also the producer's decision?
2. Before getting on the show, do they have the contestants take like a personality/compatibility test to see if they'd actually match with the bachelor/bachelorette? Or do they just hope that at least one of them will be compatible?
3. Same for physical appearance^^^. Do the producers get to know what the bachelor/bachelorette's physical "type" is?
4. What if the contestants dont like the bachelor/bachelorette or dont think they are attractive? Because you dont know who the person is until you're already on the show, right? So... what if the contestant is disappointed? It always seems like everyone is so excited. But that's not really real life...?

I heard that on Peter’s season it wasn’t Kelsey’s real house. I also heard that Madison’s house wasn’t her house, it was her dads Boss’ house.

Definitely wasn't Madison's house, it was Bruce Pearl's home. He's the head coach for Auburn's basketball team. Someone else said that they sometimes will rent houses, especially if the parents are divorced.
I heard on Arie and Lauren's video that they use the real family home but the spruce it up for TV.

Do the girls have to buy their own dresses for ceremonies, etc? How many days are in between each rose ceremony? What do you do on the 1-on-1 to fill the day because we only see a small part?
When traveling do all contests fly together or separate? And is the bachelor on the same plane?
Katie Jarvis contestants fly on one and the bachelor flies on another. In past seasons I heard they have in rare moments been on the same plane.
Contestants fly together, and lead flies separately earlier to set up for solo shots/interviews. The only time contestants are fully separated is when it gets down to the wire, but at that point there's not usually anymore international travel, so there's nothing to worry about.

Where do the contestants stay during their hometowns, because they act like they are leaving their family at the end (like is that goodbye to their family, when y’all walk out)? 2. Do producers tell you to give the “villain” the last rose in the rose ceremony? Or why is the “drama person” always the last to get picked?
What about the part where Peter was like “who knows maybe he’ll perform at our wedding” when referring to Victoria F’s ex... seemed pretty scripted 😂😂
Claudia Reynolds that’s probably a producer asking “Wouldn’t it be cool if it was Victoria at the end of this and then you could have Chase preform at your wedding.” And then they just air what Peter answered and not what the produce said.
I think that he really liked Victoria F but they just didn't click on the show.

If you had 5 or 6 drinks I'm sure you'd look comfortable too. The constants are drinking all night that first day. We've seen some get so drunk they fall, start getting really crazy, or fall asleep! 😂

They met at a race I think, or a basketball game (or some other sporting event) a year before the show, and Arie was in a relationship at the time so no he didn't remember meeting her and they didn't know each other, it was only that interaction. That is what I remember them saying in other interviews

Do the girls go on make up and hair classes to go on tv before coming on the show. They always have beautiful make up, it's never patchy, when they sweat it's still on! How is perfection all the time? Do the girls do touch up, do producers help?

When a contestant goes to see the bachelor/bachelorette during the time there’s no date going on; do producers tell the bachelor/bachelorette the contestant is on their way? Do the rest of the cast not know they went to see them? Do they prepare the bachelor/bachelorette so they can just be sitting there doing nothing? 😂

Thank you for explaining the "run and jump"and y the bachelor never tries to meet the girl halfway. I definitely feel like it's almost rude to "make her do all the work" like you said! Makes me feel better about it.
