I recently went thru hurricane Byrle so power becomes a premium. I went into low power mode and was surprised how much it extended the time. Good tip when you’re low with no power in sight. I’ll try to upload screen shots of battery.
I am a little disappointed by Apple’s decision to exclude older devices entirely from the new AI features. I get that this needs more intense processing capability, but I wish they’d made some effort to make at least some of it available. In the case of an iPhone 12, which is what I have, it seems odd that a device which was being sold new by Apple less than a year ago will get none of these new features. I will not feel forced to upgrade, however.

The Apple Store in Väla is rumored to close since the rent for the building they’re in has increased. Apparently apple has a budget for every store, and they tried to negotiate the rent down since they “bring customers in”, but it didn’t work. That why they’re leaving, is what people are saying atleast. It’s kind of sad, since it’s one of the only three stores we have, as you said :/ EDIT: This, but also; this store was already close to another one. Maybe they’re closing it to open up another one more up north. That would be welcome! I assume it’s a bit of both though, why they’re closing.

My 15 pro max, since 17.5.1 my Siri is useless. $2,000+ Australian for phone , updates and yet they still can’t get it right. When you buy a new car, you don’t have to go back and get it fixed every couple of months. You do with this brand phone,update after update. I’m tired of updating, Apple should have fixed all these problems before selling to the public. I think it’s a faulty product and I will not buy 16-18 pro max in the future. Obviously the reason for not integrating AI to the “cheaper” iPhone is a sales strategy. Every year they do the same with some of the Pro features, they give us a lame excuse as to why it wasn’t possible and then the next year they put that feature in cheaper models (they did it with the notch and then with Dynamic Island)

To those wondering why iPhone 14 isnt getting Apple Intelligence. One of the factors is the neural engine and how many TOPS it can do. A15 in Iphone 13 pro can do 15.8 TOPS A16 in iphone 14 pro can do 17 TOPS A17 in iphone 15 pro can do 35 TOPS The A17 is double the previous and this is a huge factor in running larger AI models on device without sending anything to the cloud which is what Apple intelligence really hinges on. So it's not really a processing power limitation CPU and RAM wise. But an inference speed vs power limitation. The caveat here is M1. But that's a story for another day.

There is a BUG in iOS that hasn't been resolved since Apple Music Hi Res was released. When you use a music downloaded in HI RES at 24 bit 192 Hz and use it as an alarm. The alarm does not work. The glitch has not been fixed for the iPhone 11, and I'm not sure about other phones.
AFAIK, there is no official info regarding why they’re closing the Väla store, but I’m guessing it’s due to the location being a comparatively small town, since they’re choosing to take new store here in Stockholm at Mall of Scandinavia, which would give us two stores to go to. Needless to say there’s a TON of Apple users in the Stockholm area and suburbs, so I’m not surprised by the decision.
Aaron, Siri intelligence upgrade won't work on iPhone 13 pro but, if I am connected by wifi or cellular to the internet couldn't I take advantage of some of the new feature or couldn't some of the features, a slimmed down version, work with my 13 pro? Regular 14 and regular 15 seems like a bad purchase, considering they used a year old chip. At least this time, it'll be brand new. Maybe A18 will be similar to A17 pro or slightly worse. Just the pro phone seems like the best one to buy this year. With pro max or slim being the best buy for next year
