I agree more so as the exhaust pipes are genuine not fake and it does not have the worst rear on the planet. Mat's Skoda is a close second, Alex that car has been hit with a very ugly stick.

Honestly this has been the best collaboration since the boys left the building at top gear, perhaps this should be something you 4 should think about, as I know how happy everyone is with all of your content as individuals but as a team you are truly epic and give us viewers a fantastic show full of laughter and great information.

I agree completely. I was never a huge fan of the presenters except for Freddy. Tavarish is quite relaxed and very affable and does the best he can. I could easily see him being joined by Mat and Alex for a Car Trek UK type show

That type r may not have been the fastest, but I would have that over the other two in a heart beat. Enjoyable driving isn't about fast lap times. I love old school high reving Hondas.

The only difference in these sort of challenges would be to at least put all cars on the same tyres. That alone is probably the biggest factor between all of them. That said, these collabs are amazing! Loved it

Personally I prefer Tavarish with Ed and Tyler in CarTrek, and the original carthrottle team even though I love seeing Tavarish work with Mat, would also like to see Tavarish with Dean from Saving Salvage along with Mat

Straight away from the thumbnail, I'm very happy to see the Megane 225 getting some recognition. I had a Clio 200, the same sort of generation. The Megane has always been tempting for me, as a weekend car.

So proud of the Megane! I owned one a long time ago when everyone was driving Astra VXRs and Focus ST'S and I always wondered why no one wanted one. Even today it looks fantastic it has aged so well. By far the best looking car out of those three and a proper drivers car.

Curborough isn't a very K20 friendly track, you're constantly between running out of road before you can get third gear into the power band or running out of rev range in second gear before the braking points. The civic might have done a lot better against the others on a different track but yeah, after taking my EP3 there I wasn't surprised at this result.
My first car, Megane '03 , 1.4 98Hp, amazing car, all the dash lights on, but amazing handling on curves. Now i have a 2011 A4 2.0 143 cp, cvt trans, but i really hope one day i will have a Megane Phase II 2.0T , 225Hp, amazing car.

the problem is that you can only get these in UK for 3000£, in other parts of Europe they are much more expensive. Nevertheless, a great episode!

Small world... That megane used to be a demo/company car for the garage I used to work for when it was new. Even found some old pictures of it back at the dealership. Loved driving it when I got the chance.

The Megane RS is such a nice car to drive around corners! Had one in mint condition about 9 years ago, and if it wasn`t for the really crappy interior quality and overly expensive parts, I think I`d still be having fun with it nowadays.

Honda's civic type R's are usually a very good choice but unfortunately in my opinion this particular one is the worst they made . In fact I believe this is slower than the model it replaced...
As above, this fn2 gen was lagging behind the competition at the time, just so heavy (albeit looks v nice), even the fabia smoked it lol.
Fyi fabia still does about 30-35mpg when round the track ...
@callumcurtis15 it's slower only due to being heavier and safer, the previous models are like biscuit tins on wheels, fn2 is so underrated
@JLneonhug not really a fair comparison, though, 3 totally different cars, and that fabia is modified and tuned and would have beaten any type r model until the fk2, put a standard fabia against those 2 and it'd get pumped. Fn2 is so underrated, I recently started a TH-cam channel in the hopes of boosting mines and getting it some appropriation it deserves 🤙
@@HighlandViking78 nah, the fabia probably had a chip tune and straight through circa 170bhp (original 130bhp). You can't get much more on a fabia without getting into bigger turbos, injectors, etc. Fn2 should have been 200bhp out the box, and 225 obviously should have been 225. If anything fabia was the glorified shopping trolley, handles like one too even with suspension mods...
Whereas fn2 and 225 was supposed to be manufactured to be capable on track. I put it down to age and abuse from previous owners :)
Best looking? The Skoda, by far. It's the only thing that won't be dated in a few years.
And thank you so much for this video, now I feel a lot better about my 2007 Golf 2.0 TDI which is in great condition that I bought for 5000 Euro. :)
