This allows you to more easily attack a group of enemies. 2- set battle camera distance to 3: this solves most problems with the camera allowing you to see the attack text from the enemies and boss before the attack animations Begin. 3- change target Lock change to directional buttons: it's allows to rotate the camera when Lock on ,without Changing the target
I Wonder why isn't this settings default , my issue was when Lock on the camera didn't reposition itself behind the characters all the time, and when i tried to rotate the camera It kept changing the targets.

I just started my first playthrough and your 3rd tip I just can't do. I fantasized for the longest time playing through FF7 with clouds buster sword only, BUT changing everyone elses weapon. ^^
@@LMT95diff weapons can be used for different scenarios. Like my buster sword i used for when i need high damage. The 2nd sword you get for free i use for if i need survivability/magic (since there are more defensive upgrades and magic)

@@HuhWhatHuhwhatHuh Nah man, just Ifrit, Shiva, Leviathan, Choco & Mog, Fat Chocobo, Bahamut, and the 3 DLC summons, which imo the in-game ones do better. The only DLC version I found any kind of usefulness from was Carbuncle which really gives your party buffs that you may not normally have access to early on in the game which does make things easier but the benefit of this falls off fast and is only a buffer until you learn the battle system. Now I can pretty much kill a group of enemies and not take any damage, guess that is a perk of having to learn in hard mode.
Player character draws much more agro than everyone else, so when the enemy inevitably gets on your ass switch character and let the AI block/dodge(they're very good at it) while you attack and build ATB with another character. Works very well for Bahamut and tougher enemies
This is a great tip. I never played the original, but I just turned 30 and while I can beat the encounters on normal but I get wrecked and it makes me feel like I'm trash or getting old or something lol. Which might be true, but there's so much going on and I just can't get down when to block and dodge because there is so much going on and the timing of every enemy seems different. I felt like I was missing something, and maybe I still am?
Added tip for using items outside of battle. Hold L1 while selecting the character to use it on for multi-use. Saves a lot of time since you dont have to reselect "items" "potion" then "character". Works the same way for cure spells outside of combat.
If your using Barret, his auto attack will go into a reload animation after a set number of shots, you can cancel the animation into a charge with triangle if his triangle is on cooldown. Actually you can do this with any ability or spell giving you free charge for his next triangle attack.
This tip is for Hardmode go for the weapons with high mp regeneration and the trade off upgrade because since u can’t regenerate mo from benches and can’t use items I find weapons with trade off are essential because unless your a master at dodging blocking and all around avoiding damage you will be taking severe damage a lot especially in the late game, I probably wouldn’t have been able to have enough mo to get through the longer chapters without trade off or high mo regeneration. Weapons I know have trade off, Cloud: Mythril saber Barret:big Bertha, Aerith: silver staff
If you already have enemy's scanned you once you touch the touch pad it will bring that enemy up in battle. So if you forget what the weakness is its a shortcut to find out
a nice tip to add to using items between battles is that once you pick an item and are about to give to a player you can hold L1 down and it allows you to keep using that same item over and over again till you back out of the menu.
@@Mscape7 it's something Tifa tells cloud early on, says he needs to remember it, and he repeats it to her a few missions later and they have a little moment about it.
i usually heal with magic so as not to waste potions then sit at a bench to get all my MP back,sometimes you can tell if theres going to be a bench nearby just by the setting of the area.Square Enix did a decent job with the bench placement.a big problem back in the early FF games was the save\tent spots were oddly placed and far between sometimes.
What I can't understand is why the dude stole a 26" TV from Sears when he could have just grabbed a pack of cigarettes while running 70 mph on foot evading police cars and landmines.
Most places where just progressing through mobs, before you hit chests, heal using best magic user rather than items. Often you get your MP restored by the chests, saving items.
I assumed you had to fight VR battles solo with Cloud so I ended up spending like 2 hours trying to kill Shiva. Finally got her though (Aerith was off doing something else at the time). Speaking of Shiva, I noticed she has crazy DOA jiggle physics lol.
You can kill Shiva with just Cloud, it is very doable. Like AntQ stated those set makes it easier, but also if you can add in Fire/Elemental to weapon damage and Steadfast block, makes this fight even easier.
When switching from operator to punisher with cloud a little whirlwind will appear around him this whirlwind makes cloud invulnerable and automatically parries the attack
So wait, are you saying that if you time the switch from operator to punisher perfectly, you don't even have to block in order to do that strong counter attack?
heres a tip for anyone having trouble with the hell house fight and the Reno and Rude fight they are all VERY susceptible to the sleep spell though i think hell house gains immunity to it about half way through the fight but Reno and Rude can be put out all day hope it helps someone.
Also they are very affected by stop as well. You can also poison them which helps keep the pressure building while dodging stuff (Reno & Rude). Also the Rufus fight is made easier with putting him to sleep and killing the dog and once on him, counterstance is your friend.
Reno and rude are very enjoyable and challenging, hellhouse isn't that difficult, just grindy ( the last 4/5 took me 15 minutes due to no more MP and MP reg items)
This video made the gameplay so much better and now the characters combat is a lot smoother and more fast paced instead of pulling up the menu and selecting what you wanna use in combat. Thanks bro!
I ended up amassing like 7 trillion Gil farming the Movers, Magic Pots, and Master Tonberries on my path to get getting 3 mastered Knights of the Round and 2 or 3 Mastered Materia. The Gil number was so high, it started glitching out and showed me weird symbols instead of numbers lol. I thought I could buy 99 of every single unique item at shops, but I think it was still short.
It's been a long time since I saw an immersive storyline...You just get lost in it....the first night I started playing I started at 9pm...before I knew it...I wasn't even tired and the sun came up and I said WTF?!?! it was 8am...I put an alarm now to remind me...not like I have anywhere to go with this quarantine... :D
To use multiple items outside of combat (to spam potions) hold down L1 when you select a character to target. This will allow the 'use multiple' function so you don't have to keep going back to the item menu.
Great information. This cleared up some things, like grinding for the new game plus, not being worthwhile. Does materia only level up when you use the magic associated with it, or just for keeping it equipped? I will now use the boosted triangle attack with Tifa, I didnt realise it could be boosted by using that buff, several times. Sounds like it works well on enemies that are already staggered to increase the damage percentage further.
NIce! I didn't realize you need to keep assessing enemies. Tifa is a machine in the game! I've uploaded a lets play of the game and and its been so easy to make because the game is addictive af. Got wrecked on the motorcycle mission tho.
i'm replaying this atm because its perfect after finishing crisis core reunion. sad thing is that except for one weapon that you need to steal, the stealing materia is completly worthless in ff7remake. in crisis core you could at least use mug and deal dmg the same time you steal. i wish you could get as op in ff7r as in crisis core
This game’s combat is a mix of Kingdom Hearts,FF12,FF15,every Hack n slash game,Lightning Returns & Crisis Core Cause you can guard against the enemy’s attacks like in LR & CC You will always have to hammer the attack like in KH,every hack n slash game,LR,FF12,FF15 & CC
Love the game, the combat System is phenomenal . But I miss some details in the graphics, like doors or mirrors. They look bad like on ps2. The rendering is bad at some points. For a game that's developed for 7 years it should be almost perfect in any section. Gr8 game tho! 👍

Question. Back in the original, I bought plenty of materia and leveled them up. When they were mastered a new one was born. Eventually I’d master the new ones also. So I’d have multiple mastered materia, like say 2 or 3 mastered Fire materia. In the original, I noticed mastered materia sells for 1.4 thousand gil, I believe. So I started selling some of the mastered materia. My team were millionaires! I bought 100 of EVERYTHING! Bought the villa. Pretty cool. When you master materia in the remake, is a new one born? Can you sell mastered materia for crazy gil?
Might want to do a new video just for Hard Mode Tips cause during that you have no access to item usage at all and the benches no longer restore MP so you have to be on the dot with what you do. Typically if you don't farm zones but do the side quests, you will be at approx 33-35 when finishing the game. I have to say that playing hard mode when a boss could almost one shot you if they get their combo off is exhilarating to beat under these conditions.
Don't say it is not worth it to grindr in your first run because it is, I did this after finishing the game in normal mode and I started it again in normal mode and in chapter 3 with tifa I stopped and I grindr considerably, and what I am feeling together with my confident after my first play through is that I can fight better and optimize much more my combat, it worth it through the entire run, I am guessing the double expected and triple expected are good for material like revival, but anyway revival is not like it gonna make miracles in your gameplay I mean it does obviously but is not necessary. In my opinion, they should add an option to auto skip the cust scene.
Anyone else crazy like me and prefers to select with the stopped time menu? And anyone else eating it hard on standard badguys, particularly monsters, give me a giant super robot I got this, 6 spiders and a turret and I am in trouble.

So I’m guessing they took it out of the remake that when you master a materia that it produces a new unlevelled copy of that same materia? Or is that in this game also? I heard materia is harder to get in this and should not be sold unlike in the original where most materia were readily available for purchase.

Get used to staggering anything that doesnt go down fast to regular combos. Clouds focused thrust is good for it and can be used to move fast even while in punisher mode. If you know their weakness follow this pattern: Build atb. Tag it with magic to pressure it. Use high stagger attacks to stun once its pressured. Then wreck it with heavy hits like braver overcharge punisher mode etc.
Cause Curaga is hella expensive on MP. With late game weapon enhancements, Cura can mostly replenish you without breaking the MP bank. Get use to rationing if you want to attempt hard mode.
After the final boss there is still side content you can do by going to the chapters. You keep the progress on your save so it's basically new game plus
I can't fucking believe when people does this "thing I wished I knew" videos don't mention shit like this. Anyway, no you unlock hard upon beaten the game via chapter selection and can ONLY be play on that. You cannot start a new fresh save on hard mode.
There isn't a straight New Game +, but after you beat the game you can replay any chapter you wish and select the mode in which you play it (Classic aka easy, Normal, or Hard Mode which is only unlocked after beating the game). You can choose to start over at chapter 1 with all of your items/weapons/ and materia and the game will continue on down the chapters with whatever mode you selected pretty much making it a new game +. If you play through on Hard mode know that you can't use items at all and that the benches no longer replenish MP making you have to ration your magic usage. Chakra and pray comes in handy here as well as those little mako shards that were forgotten about pretty easily in normal. Also Hard Mode is how you expand your weapon upgrades significantly since each boss you beat in hard mode gives you a manuscript for a character expanding your power with that character. You can only get 3 manuscripts for each character in normal mode, but adding on what you get from hard mode will grant you up to like 14 for each.
Sad it's only parts.... and to be released over a 10 year period? Like can u beat this part in less that what 24 ingame hrs?is there ALOT todo!? Becuse this remake is getting me really really close to buying a ps4. I really enjoyed the OG version and dont know how many times I've played the game! 24 hours? Who told you that? Maybe if you rush through it and don't do literally any of the side content you could do it in that amount of time, but if you actually go through everything, its easily a 40 hour game, if not more.

Classic and easy mode are for those game journalists who cant beat the first trainer in a pokemon game. I encourage the normal mode. The way it was meant to be played. That way, you get to experience the combat to its fullest. After all, thats what makes this game gold.
Not necessarily, the first one is amazing and you will get the full story but this one will be coming out in episodes or chapters. This game covers the first disc I believe. They flushed out the whole first disc into a a game to give a more detailed, epic story. Which is cool considering 20 years ago content versus today content. I appreciate them adding more to it then rehashing it and putting less into it.
@@jayson1geek479 just an FYI the combat is completely different and in the other game you were able to scour the whole world. This game, I am not sure how they will handle it all. Through expansions or new games entirely every year. I say play both honestly. FF7 is what turned me into a gamer.

#3 is actually trash, losing the ability to move for the brief moment of changing target is actually more crucial than a bad angled camera.

In this version, guarding is way more important. Especially against stronger single enemies. Block and counter, hit with everything and swap.

Don't get to use to this habit cause if you try hard mode, you will find out real fast that this plan doesn't work.
Quick tip there is a spell called stop that can freeze the enemy in place and stop the stagger bar from depleting.

And Stop almost always works on staggered enemies, even if they're resistant the rest of the time.

If you’re looking to stagger quickly use Clouds Thrust ability holy hell that builds a lot of stagger specially when its upgraded..

Sounds like it works well on enemies that are already staggered to increase the damage percentage further.
You only need to have materia equipped, it is not required to actually use it.

NIce! I didn't realize you need to keep assessing enemies. Tifa is a machine in the game! I've uploaded a lets play of the game and and its been so easy to make because the game is addictive af. Got wrecked on the motorcycle mission tho.

i'm replaying this atm because its perfect after finishing crisis core reunion.
sad thing is that except for one weapon that you need to steal, the stealing materia is completly worthless in ff7remake.
in crisis core you could at least use mug and deal dmg the same time you steal.
i wish you could get as op in ff7r as in crisis core

Love the game, the combat System is phenomenal . But I miss some details in the graphics, like doors or mirrors. They look bad like on ps2. The rendering is bad at some points. For a game that's developed for 7 years it should be almost perfect in any section. Gr8 game tho! 👍
I hope they bring Part 2 on ps5 so they have more pressure and won't allow such texture disasters again. Those issues aside one hell of a game !
@@ItalyStyler I'm sure they'll fix it for the PC version. They just wanted to push this game out faster than it was going to actually take to be fully complete because they didn't want another KH3 on their hands. Would've been bad for their investors.
If you need to heal up, switch to magnify curaga before you heal out of battle and boom, everybody is almost at full health with just 12MP

Question. Back in the original, I bought plenty of materia and leveled them up. When they were mastered a new one was born. Eventually I’d master the new ones also.
So I’d have multiple mastered materia, like say 2 or 3 mastered Fire materia. In the original, I noticed mastered materia sells for 1.4 thousand gil, I believe.
So I started selling some of the mastered materia. My team were millionaires! I bought 100 of EVERYTHING! Bought the villa. Pretty cool.
When you master materia in the remake, is a new one born? Can you sell mastered materia for crazy gil?
Might want to do a new video just for Hard Mode Tips cause during that you have no access to item usage at all and the benches no longer restore MP so you have to be on the dot with what you do. Typically if you don't farm zones but do the side quests, you will be at approx 33-35 when finishing the game. I have to say that playing hard mode when a boss could almost one shot you if they get their combo off is exhilarating to beat under these conditions.
If I go back by the chapter select, the enemies will be my level or the same as they were before?

Don't say it is not worth it to grindr in your first run because it is, I did this after finishing the game in normal mode and I started it again in normal mode and in chapter 3 with tifa I stopped and I grindr considerably, and what I am feeling together with my confident after my first play through is that I can fight better and optimize much more my combat, it worth it through the entire run, I am guessing the double expected and triple expected are good for material like revival, but anyway revival is not like it gonna make miracles in your gameplay I mean it does obviously but is not necessary.
In my opinion, they should add an option to auto skip the cust scene.

So I’m guessing they took it out of the remake that when you master a materia that it produces a new unlevelled copy of that same materia? Or is that in this game also? I heard materia is harder to get in this and should not be sold unlike in the original where most materia were readily available for purchase.

You'll find that just beating up enemies normally, you'll end up staggerring enough without worrying about it
Get used to staggering anything that doesnt go down fast to regular combos. Clouds focused thrust is good for it and can be used to move fast even while in punisher mode.
If you know their weakness follow this pattern: Build atb. Tag it with magic to pressure it. Use high stagger attacks to stun once its pressured. Then wreck it with heavy hits like braver overcharge punisher mode etc.

Cause Curaga is hella expensive on MP. With late game weapon enhancements, Cura can mostly replenish you without breaking the MP bank. Get use to rationing if you want to attempt hard mode.

After you beat the game theres a chapter select so you can go back and play early parts with endgame loadouts.
Does it end after beating the final boss? Is there a NG+, or is that covered in the chapter select?
After the final boss there is still side content you can do by going to the chapters. You keep the progress on your save so it's basically new game plus

Anyway, no you unlock hard upon beaten the game via chapter selection and can ONLY be play on that. You cannot start a new fresh save on hard mode.

There isn't a straight New Game +, but after you beat the game you can replay any chapter you wish and select the mode in which you play it (Classic aka easy, Normal, or Hard Mode which is only unlocked after beating the game). You can choose to start over at chapter 1 with all of your items/weapons/ and materia and the game will continue on down the chapters with whatever mode you selected pretty much making it a new game +. If you play through on Hard mode know that you can't use items at all and that the benches no longer replenish MP making you have to ration your magic usage. Chakra and pray comes in handy here as well as those little mako shards that were forgotten about pretty easily in normal. Also Hard Mode is how you expand your weapon upgrades significantly since each boss you beat in hard mode gives you a manuscript for a character expanding your power with that character. You can only get 3 manuscripts for each character in normal mode, but adding on what you get from hard mode will grant you up to like 14 for each.

24 hours? Who told you that? Maybe if you rush through it and don't do literally any of the side content you could do it in that amount of time, but if you actually go through everything, its easily a 40 hour game, if not more.

Classic and easy mode are for those game journalists who cant beat the first trainer in a pokemon game. I encourage the normal mode. The way it was meant to be played. That way, you get to experience the combat to its fullest. After all, thats what makes this game gold.

Not necessarily, the first one is amazing and you will get the full story but this one will be coming out in episodes or chapters. This game covers the first disc I believe. They flushed out the whole first disc into a a game to give a more detailed, epic story. Which is cool considering 20 years ago content versus today content. I appreciate them adding more to it then rehashing it and putting less into it.

@@jayson1geek479 just an FYI the combat is completely different and in the other game you were able to scour the whole world. This game, I am not sure how they will handle it all. Through expansions or new games entirely every year. I say play both honestly. FF7 is what turned me into a gamer.
