You're spot on! I've listened to this song thousands of times since the day it came out, until this very day. There's no school, like old school. For those who didn't live it, you missed out.
@@silverlakegirl9078 28 year old metalhead from Jamaica, Queens here. I wasn’t born in that era, but I see this as the sound of the hood, not all this new rap and hip-hop. I grew up on music like this song and lots of jazz and fusion courtesy of my father being a musician as well, and even though I transitioned into metal, I have an unending soft spot for old school music. It hits so much different than the hip-hop and rap that was present in my area, and I’m glad to say I had good influences musically growing up.
RIP Queen. She was like Chaka Khan, only behind the scenes. With this song and her unique voice, they kept the disco world in suspense until the 90s. Memories❤

This song will always be a masterpiece. I was 14 years-old when it seemed to come out from no where and went to the top of the charts. My teen era had the best music. So fun to watch this!
Thank you and God bless your Grandpa. This tune helps us test telecoms and networks (with a few funky tunes) and is important to me for finishing a sub cable project to Long Island a while ago (AC-1 & AC-2 are their names). Taking a train from the Island to Penn Station through Jamaica got me and still does. Keep talking to family and keep safe. Smile and laugh, be strong. Your Grandpa is on your shoulder - as are ours.
