Lots of pre-production model reviews seem to have exposure changing when zooming. I am really interested in this lens, but this problem needs to be addressed.
100% agree. I am very interested in buying multiple copies of this lens as we use three X-T3s for multicam production and live streaming, but on the B&H clip and a few others I see the same old auto exposure compensation flickering, it's very distracting. Same with the AF in the B&H clip, their shots of the Statue of Liberty show the same old AF flickering that I've experienced with all of my XF lenses. So far, disappointed. I'm going to assume that most of the X-H2S clips were shot with prototypes, possibly without final FW but if this is the result we will see in the delivery models, pass.
From the clips I've watched recently on youtube, it seems better now, with very little exposure flickering, but NOT completely gone. Of course this is not acceptable since the core feature of this lens is the power zoom.
This lens is as exciting as the new camera. This will be compatible with my xt3 in September and future xh2 when I save enough for it. Great times to be creative!
As A Hobbyist, This XF16-80mm,F4 Is All I Own & It's Fantastic. My Constant Cry Is For A Lil More Reach. Yes, Of Course Move Your Feet, To Get The Shot. But This 18-120MM, F4 Has Me VERY Curious.🤣
Sometimes I wonder why new Zoom Lens-Designs have just F4 when you get in the 60ies P Angenieux Paris Zoom 12-120mm f2.2 T for 16mm, not APS-C, Yes this Vintage lens is not perfect, but have character.
The warping distortion is very serious when shooting in IBIS mode of XH2S body in the XF18-120 lens telephoto area!When will this be resolved?Customer service told me to wait for the firmware update, but nothing changed when I got the update and installed the latest one!To be honest, this lens is made and sold to shoot a video at 120mm, so why hasn't it solved such a serious error yet?You should recall or provide a refund policy.Such distortion errors are serious enough to undermine the nature of the video.
I own a couple of fujifilm cameras and about 5 lenses now. Actually, barring a very few prime lenses, all other lenses are average in optical quality. Features wise there are some bells and whistles in some lenses. Yet a lot needs to be done on improving real optical quality. In general lenses from fujifilm are not good in X series.
Are you on drugs ? Stop trolling, you don’t own any Fuji gear and are a paid troll . If you are not paid them why waist your time trolling for corporate interest??

In that GFX are fabulous. Yet the X lenses need to improve. The newly launched f 1.4mm trios are good. Enjoy good photography. Keep shooting. All the best.

I think it is again garbage form FUJI. i got many trouble with focus with lenses from fuji. so here i didnt see any real test and show how it works. just regular advertisement. I will order this lenses and will make true review. Not like this advertisement. and then lets see how it work in real conditions.

Every brand will showcase the highlights of their products on their own channels. Just like you and me would not mention our shortcomings on our resumes. There's no harm in being kind with our words online. And if you can afford to buy one for a review then this video managed to do it's intended job: getting a sale. So why must you crib? Moreover this lens is made by actual humans wherever involved. People like you and me. People in an industry that is downsizing massively due to technological advancements in media creation and consumption. People who have spent countless hours away from their family so they can do their best for the company and for their livelihood. It have only motorized zoom. 2 different ring and one buttons sets. and no mechanical. so wierd. also during the focusing video shooting still have jumping and jittering lenses issues. it lighter lenses but i think it is endof the Fuji for me. so absolutely no worth to buy new lenses for video production. When i call to Fuji for support they told me buy cinema lenses for 5k. wow still shocked about answer. Only one thing quality of picture is good.
@@JoaquimGonsalves yes, I understand everything, but I'm tired of listening to promises from support and buying raw items from fuji. They promise to fix all this in the new firmware, but everything remains as it was. 2 years gone for FUJI XT4. Fuji's focus is terrible when trying to shoot a video. Sometimes the camera confuses the background with the person and starts focusing in the opposite direction. I have been a professional photographer for 35 years now. This camera is more for beginners. Of course I want them to get better, but apparently no one is interested in my support calls. They just don't have good support. I thought I would wait for a new lens and it would be better, but unfortunately it became not convenient for taking photos. And it doesn't work for video either. Let real support developers contact me directly. The demo lens of 18-120 version that they provided for testing was very disappointing. The camera itself works fine, I only have problems with the focus always on Fuji.

You guys should make a 200 - 800mm zoom with 0.5 magnification or even 1:1 for the ultimate wildlife experience

According to the website it will be compatible with Xt3 through a firmware update coming in September.
That's an amazing lens which could be nearly the only lens for shooting great videos

Video lens have Exposure shift is a joke. every fujifilm zoom have this problem. Fujifilm is inability to change.
