I'm coming to London next year & we thought we would like to use up a day & travel to York. We have been to London 4 times so happy to give up 1 day. Thanks for the video, I had no idea the trip was so quick. It showed as a 4 hour drive so this looks like the best option. I know up & back on the same days is a lot of travel time but when you compare that to the 21 hours of flight time getting there from Australia it's nothing
Very long distance travelling gives you chance to charge your mobile and laptop while chilling out in your train seat enjoying your fresh breakfast this helps you untill you reach your destination in comfort and in very safe hands of this train company and it beets paying for petrol or diesel and for parking spaces and it saves sitting in long distant traffic jams on motorways
Hello. I’m traveling soon this year to London, and within my itinerary am heading to York for one day trip. I been just browsing what train line operates, and found tow: Grand Central and LNER, came across LNER is more expensive, one round trip, one passenger around 80-90 £, the cheapest. Am I right on it? Cuz have seen videos ppl they say got tickets for 25£. On the other hand, Grand Central ain’t recommended by users things went wrong and have experienced cancellation of their tickets. People, can y’all help me with that? What do you know about it currently ? I’ll appreciate any help as a replying
Nice one mate. How did you get your seat? Did you have to reserve it? The reason on why I'm asking is that LNER now wants people to reserve their seats no matter what your journey is. So yh
Thanks! Yes, LNER required all seats to be reserved when I filmed it. However, it looks like they now have dropped this policy as it was too inconvenient and rarely worked in practice.
What a wonderful video! So glad I got to see what my trip will look like. Happy Traveling!
Glad you enjoyed it!

That's true - the train is much quicker than driving! York is a great place to visit in the UK.
The Azumas and other 800 series trains are fine for 2 or 3 hours. LNER has a buffet car which helps alot.
Excellent video
OMG! Personally I would would love to take this trip.
I’ve seen a lot of LNER Azuma’s passing through Doncaster railway station and stopping their to. They fly through Doncaster very very fast.
I strongly agree that the azuma trains are perfect for long-distance travelling at least you can carry on talking to family and business friendsv

@@maxTravelsRailways What is the difference to class 800 and 801?
@@garyramsell6883 Class 801s are electric-only while Class 800s are bi-mode :)
I just wished I booked a table seat
Did you go on Class 800 or Class 801 Azuma.
It was an electric-only Class 801 :)
Sorry, my language is no english. How does it cost from London to York?
40-50£ for standard class if you book in advance (say 2-3 weeks in advance)
