Thank you for not having music over the journey, and just the sounds of the train. There are plenty of TH-camrs like Don Coffey who do this and get substantial interest, so I sincerely hope their success bleeds off a little into your channel 😃👍👍
I love that you included the announcements, and sounds from the ride rather than put music over the whole thing. The facts are great too. This is so relaxing!
Even though I don’t live in the uk let alone Europe it’s amazing seeing a real time trip on the railway and more interesting than the goods trains we see here in Canada
Wow, I haven't visited the Cross for a while. I can't believe all the new buildings. The new track layout looks much simpler. Best view in the house. It should be piped into screens down the train for enthusiastic customers.
A very interesting video, thanks. Great respect to the drivers on these routes - the level of concentration needed so as to note every signal flashing by must be considerable.
Really enjoyed the video along with all the “Did you know” information. Only critique is an occasional swipe with the wiper/washer would be appreciated to clear the windshield.
Absolutely amazing. As I`m a railway lover it's a dream to be a part of your professional team. But it`s imposible, because i`m not from the UK... Thanks for the video.
The detail and work which went into editing this video with all the facts and information at every moment is what maks LNER the best operator in the UK. you all clearly care so much. amazing work. PS: oh wow!! the google 'groundscaper' has had some of its scaffolding removed. it looks INCREDIBLE, wow. so impressive
Great video certainly nice to see from the drivers perspective. Would love to see a view from your, class 91 and mk4 set in heritage intercity livery. Hopefully in a few years will be me in the drivers seat driving for my local area in East Suffolk 👍
Excellent Feature video of a route I've travelled many many times, could possibly have been even better with a clean windscreen, but that's nit-picking. can't wait for the next one.

For fans of this, have a look at don coffey's channel here on TH-cam. He does cab rides with facts scattered through. No telemetry though. There are also plenty of other cab rides from the UK and other countries, best search term is: train cab ride
@@dapto234Amateur footage will always have screenwash/wipers in action occasionally to keep the view clear. And yet here we have the company itself, the 'LNER", not doing this on a basically promotional video!
Great cab ride view video with added information. More of the same please - on other LNER routes I mean! Though same route in different weathers may also be interesting.
A cracking little route learner giving the important basics. A good idea may have been to have an indicator showing the mileage covered from leaving LKX as the journey progresses.
What a find - a trip back to my home town (I left in 1969 but haven’t been back since ‘84.) It’s smaller but I always preferred Newark Castle station. Thanks for the ride, and the included info. Am now a new subscriber. 👍🇦🇺
Recommend the Harrogate to Leeds video. Lovely scenery and includes the fantastic entrance to the Bramhope Tunnel, which runs directly under our house!
Great information: but I must have missed the announcement that Peterborough has one of the three greatest Romanesque (Norman) cathedrals in England: the other two being Ely and Durham.
Can i suggest as well as the speed the train is doing, also add the line speed and line name too. Oh on another note, if the drivers could clean the windscreen more offen
Its so interesting the difference in modes of transport, in Europe they rely heavily on high speed rail while in the US we have the interstate highway system and passenger rail travel is largely restricted to heavy urban centers/corridors.
love this i recently done a trip in firstclass from peterbough to stirling change edinburgh sadly conecting train was canciled but managed to get a scot rail but i must say it was absalutly wonderfull. keep up the good work!!!
Excellent video, shame the windscreen wasn't cleaned though. Can someone please clarify the flashing green lights on a section after the stop at Peterborough. As far as I was aware, this went back to the days when you were permitted to travel at 140mph on certain sections of the route. As the maximum line speed is now 125mph, why are they flashing?
Excellent. I like the real time speed read out. Am I rright in sayng I didn't see any/many speed boards trackside on some of the 4-track sections? I won't mention the dirty screen since others have - oops, I have mentioned it! More please. [Just seen in the notes that the speed isn't real time but an approximation. Disappointing]
Great to even hear the on board announcements voiced by Justine Harris, I'm just curious how she recorded them, i.e. did she record the first part then separately record the destinations for use on the relevant train
A very interesting and worthwhile enterprise in my view, especially showing actual speeds. I noticed that most of the signals on the stretch north from Peterborough towards Stoke Tunnel seemed to be showing a flashing Green aspect. What does this signify please?
From Wikipedia: flashing green aspects are employed on the East Coast Main Line north of Peterborough. They were installed for 140 mph (225 km/h) running in connection with the testing of the new InterCity 225 electric trains, with a steady green limiting test trains to the normal speed limit of 125 mph (200 km/h). They no longer have official meaning, but remain in place and there are a couple of locations where the presence or absence of flashing provides useful information to drivers.
Thanks LNER. I enjoy 'travelling' along a line that I was very familiar with pre-electrification, pre-Hitchin flyover, and most definitely pre-Werrington dive-under. Was that GWR rolling stock on the left just North of Finsbury Park?
Fascinating! A trip I have taken frequently (to Grantham) these past 25 years. I had no idea the second tunnel out of London was called Copenhagen - and had always assumed the tunnel before Grantham was the Grantham tunnel - I now learn it is called the Stoke tunnel (after Stoke Rockford, I assume). I’m lucky enough to go first class these days and always find the train crew charming and helpful (which is why I didn’t get stroppy turning the recent days of industrial action!).Nothing, though, beats the fantastic team at Grantham station!
Thank you for not having music over the journey, and just the sounds of the train. There are plenty of TH-camrs like Don Coffey who do this and get substantial interest, so I sincerely hope their success bleeds off a little into your channel 😃👍👍

What Joseph said…couldn’t agree more.
Love these videos thanks

The only thing it missed was the 'See it, say it, sorted'
Inside Class 801
However length of some tunnels is missing.
Great to see the actual speed of the loco and the information given.
It's an EMU, there is no loco.

Nice to see England from a train. 1973 I travel by train from Grimsby to King's Cross in London. Greetings from Sweden!

Very good. Great to have a cab ride without music and real sound. More please. 😊

Nice to see you include sound that makes the video lot more enjoyable and realistic.
Amazing work on the video, and I learned a few things that Train Simulator doesn't teach. Please keep them coming!
Thank you
Yeah as did I. Dovetail should really update this route with Azumas and the 3rd Gasworks tunnel etc etc
That was excellent. In the style of Ben Elias or Don Coffey.
Awesome! I hope more operators do the same!
Don Coffey. Also on TH-cam. Some long frieght hauls as well as passenger services.
That's fantastic! Now if only somebody could do it from an Intercity 225... :)
You mean a comfortable, quiet train that doesn't suffer frame cracks LOL!

Enjoying the ride from New York City! 🗽🇺🇸
This has to be my favourite cab ride video. I have saved it to my playlist. The Azuma trains are my favourite and I have model of that train.
Love the speed caption, I wish the others would do that
This is cool, more like this please!! Great sounds to fall asleep to. 😊
Amazing touch adding in announcements as well.

Based on the stopping pattern of Peterborough then Newark, this train must've been one of the xx:30 ones to Edinburgh
