Thanks for the video! You did not mentionned anything about luggages? We are 2 seniors travelling 1 month in UK with a total of 2 luggages, one carry-on luggages and 2 bag-pack. I was told that Gatwick Express was best beacause it provide more space for luggage, because less people use-it. Right! Merci beaucoup from Montréal.

'dart which is included in the price of the ticket' actuslly its not. a ticket between london st pancras > luton airport parkway is not valid on the dart. a ticket from london st osncras > luton airport does incoude the dart, but its much more expensive

Gatwick Express is a tourist trap. No Londoner I know uses it.

Some ask why Lumo doesn't stop in places like York/Doncaster/Peterborough. It's because Lumo is 'open access' and must not compete too strongly with the incumbent. The regulator gave Lumo the green light to compete because it offered something different for UK rail. Basically it's the UK version of SNCF's Ouigo. Lumo was intended to compete for customers with low-cost airlines ... one reason it stops at Stevenage (close to Stansted) and Morpeth (close to Newcastle apt).

The real test would have been to do this comparison while carrying actual luggage (1 checked-in bag, 1 cabin bag and a small backpack). If I'm going to use Heathrow it will be with luggage so it would be useful to see a real life test which rules out using escalators and having access to luggage space on trains.

Lumo don't do 1st class the entire Lumo train is all one class enhanced standard class seating. Hull trains set u were on is because both Lumo & hull trains are operated by First Group uk the bus company biggest players in the UK they also operate Great Western out of Paddington and the West Coast Railway as Avanti from Euston to Glasgow in partnership with Trenatlia (Italian state Railways)

You'd be much quicker going to Leicester Square and walking down to Trafalgar Square -- it's barely more walking than from Charing Cross.
