Best thing to do is, instead of a whole boss rotation (so you reset the whole board), to do rivalry and try to remove 1-2 members so they can rotate with the desired NPC. @@ginz9r ok. Let's say you wanted aisling slam. That means you need her in research. It might be. It's Cast on Crit Forbidden Rite, so even before the patch it was a high-investment build. Fixing mana usually involved a mana flask craft, which has been removed, so it will require some effort to get back to 100%.
btw: what are your opinions on toxic rain raider ? for start to start up with some heits , like comparison if you have tried that approach , i know thta PF is better later on, but im rly slow starter so i thought about raider to speed it up a little :P
It moves faster for Heist, and that's basically it. It's less tanky, deals less damage, and has less utility. It can function for that one purpose, and you can make it clear maps and do content with enough gear, but it will fall well behind Pathfinder. PF is also extremely fast!
34:36 you said earlier that building trusted and rival relationships is a very important aspect of betrayal. why here is making another trusted relationship not the move? is it so it will be lowered by 1 rank so on your next interaction you can execute them to get them to rank 3 without wasting a rank? or is it because you don't care much for the rewards of Cameria while in intervention? is it something else? or maybe im undervaluing the intel gain from prison and overvaluing a trusted string? I have literally no idea how to do betrayal, im simply asking so i can understand, not trying to sounds like a dink here.
We're at 90% Intel on Catarina, and we have a Safehouse ready, so once we run that Safehouse and do another map, we'll have Catarina ready to go. Once we kill her, she will reset all relationships, so building a relationship once you're nearly at the point of Catarina isn't as valuable as getting 21 Intel out of Korell, because that Intel *will* carry over once you kill Catarina. Trusted strings are valuable pretty much throughout a board until you're right on the cusp of spawning Catarina, then you're good to ignore them and just try to either build up ranks for higher rewards from Catarina, or build intel to carry over after you kill her.
@@PathofEvening awesome brother thank you for the reply. To clarify, In a scenario other than right before getting to Catarina, the correct move would be to take the other option and build a trusted string? also great vid brother, I've tried watching like 4 vids and this is the only one that has made it thru to me in terms of understanding how it all works
We don't know if it's from a specific tier of Catarina, or if the chance is higher at higher levels, just that it only comes from her now. Low-tier Betrayal has a lot of valuable rewards, so it's worth doing.
I watched he entire vid to learn more than I ever knew ab Betrayal. BUT my question is, what is the song at 33:10 ish, I recognize it from Witcher 3, but what's the name of the song :(
Glad to help! It's actually the music from Act 6 Lioneye's Watch (th-cam.com/video/SZ44vSZO-IA/w-d-xo.html), but the vocalizations make it sound a lot like the Witcher 3 soundtrack.
Actually, if you aren't scarabing your map, don't take extra Jun chance if it doesn't lead to something. If Jun isn't there, you don't waste time on it. You will get a similar amount of Juns at 80% as 100% because you will do more maps.
That is a functional approach, it really depends on the relative expense of maps. If you're spending all the other atlas passive points on Jun and she doesn't appear, they're wasted. On the other hand, if she doesn't appear, then you don't have to commit to that map. You can just speed-clear any other mechanics you have that did show up and leave as soon as you've extracted the bulk of the value. It works, but it's a style of play that feels a bit counterintuitive for most players.
That's definitely going to be something worth testing and looking out for. The content/scarab blocking notables will probably work on scarabs from Betrayal NPC's, and if so that could absolutely boost its value. Maybe it won't work. It should, but that's also possible. Sometimes league content will drop stuff that shouldn't be possible, like when you kill a league monster and it drops a bunch of random t14/t15 maps when you have all your Voidstones in & Singular Focus selected.
One thing about your cheat sheet, I run betrayal quite a bit this league and the 'swap divination card' has yet to disappoint me. I just put in junk and get pretty good cards out more than 50% of the time. Best card I got was - seven years bad luck So I do not think it should be labeled as 'bad'
this video clarified a lot of things, tyvm for sharing! One thing: Why removing the rivalries at the last map b4 Cat is not a thing, instead of releasing the npc? (im not sure) Gotta say, i didnt ever realise that the equipments shows which stats they're adding, same for the messages showing the rewards of the npcs. great content, gratz!
Hmmmm... You can get up to 179% increased scarab drops on atlas, but probably not worth it to go over 100% with the betrayal scarab since it probably won't round up when dropping. For that matter I'm not even sure if the wording of "Increased scarabs found in your maps" translates to "increased quantity of scarabs dropped in your maps". But if it does I would assume you could make every betrayal member drop 2 scarabs, which if you're getting 5 members per event is 30 scarabs. Assuming monster rarity mods apply to the rarity of scarab dropped as well, with the "more likely to be less common varieties" passive, betrayal could be a pretty hefty source of rare scarabs. In addition to the member's safehouse rewards having extra scarabs. So much new stuff needs testing.
Very true. The potential is pretty crazy, and Mark did say in the interview with Zizaran that they want the reworked scarab system to feel extremely rewarding.
Sadly it turned out they've butchered syndicate, veiled orb drop rate is very low, scarabs are cheap, nothing valuable to be gained, flask, kulemak and diadem are very cheap
It was pretty good as a strategy for the first weekend. Beyond that, yeah, it doesn't really have the same currency-making appeal that high-end strategies do, and that's okay. The Scarabs from red-tier Intervention Safehouses and Catarina kills can be good, though.
Not gonna lie, I miss Jun veiled craft, that's how I made a lot of guaranteed Div's each league. It feels like they took away almost all of the guaranteed value and now it's totally RNG on wether you get a good/valuable scarab or a veiled orb drop. I'm going to give it a try again this league because I like that you can guarantee spawn it now, but it feels way weaker for currency farming than it was in the past.

Are you going to do white maps to farm uniqes? Also at first you are probably pushing the atlas in order to get a bunch of points. Should i avoid interacting with betrayal there so i dont scale it to high?
Yes, yes, and maybe. A lot of Betrayal rewards (such as Catarina's uniques and character-specific unveils) are the same at low and high levels, so farming them in white maps makes more sense because it's cheaper, easier, and faster. At this point, we don't know how map tiers will affect Scarab drops from Betrayal NPC's. Doing higher levels might be good, but Betrayal can be lethal, so you probably will want to wait on it until you have a little bit of gear to work with.
Thank you for breaking down this content, I never really understood is until now! Would you recommend going straight for betrayal or focus on atlas progression 1st? Thanks again
Atlas progression is safer and will get you a baseline of XP and gear to then use on Betrayal a bit later on. Betrayal's good, it helps a lot with transitioning from early mapping bad gear to mid-endgame gear, but it can be really dangerous right as you step into white maps. Intervention encounters are particularly brutal!
According to the bonecracker guide, last season I was suppose to get a 7% mana reduction enchant for my rings but I never figured that one out. Somehow you line stuff up with the guy that has an E name. i ended up having to use a mana potion for most of the season and was slow. Eventually I went off guide and got a jewel that had a little mana gen and could kill stuff so much better after that. Never really got the good enchant though. I even got a good ring but it just had had 4% mana reduction lol (Probably why it was cheap) Anyways this season going to play squishy chrs So a little scared :(

Most scarabs are worth more than 1c in bulk. For the ones that still are that worthless, you can 3-to-1 them at a vendor for random other scarabs. Because of this, a large of supply of scarabs (even low-value scarabs), can be worth a lot.
Unsure if the drops are different in red-tier Safehouses vs. white-tier Safehouses, but you get anywhere from 3-5 scarabs per box from t2 and t3 Syndicate members, so a decently-stacked Catarina kill can reasonably net you 30-50 Scarabs.
i meant the tier of the scarabs! Like 3 starring safehouses last leagues gave u winged scarabs but it looks like its not the same anymore this league :/
Aisling Veil was itemized and moved over to Veiled Orbs, which drop from Catarina. Vorici Sockets are gone, though. The only alternatives are Omen of Blanching or the Harvest Benchcraft, and they're pretty expensive by comparison.
Molten shell on left click to move fully leveled is absolutely broken u have more health from molten shell than you do on your actually character thank God they removed that shit so broken and dumb ever click u give your self 3 times your health plus a buff that reduces the damage you take absolute broken mechanic needed to go thank god.
@@PathofEvening i farmed 60 div a day with just betrayal and essense in tota and affliction. there’s absolutely no way this can reach the 4 div/aisling on tft we had in the past. i hope to be proven wrong.
Of course not, but it was clear from the moment they announced that it would be itemized that the profit margin from selling Aisling slams would shrink. People weren't paying that much for Aisling because of the value it provides, they paid to circumvent the inconvenience of setting it up. With the inconvenience removed, the price goes down-but it's also easier to farm. With all that being said, just pulled 12 Scarabs in a no-juice white map, as well. At this point, we don't know how map tiers will affect Scarab drops from Betrayal NPC's. Doing higher levels might be good, but Betrayal can be lethal, so you probably will want to wait on it until you have a little bit of gear to work with.
@@PathofEvening I see. Is Expedition worth it at lower levels? Do you loose anything except for the logbooks dropping at low levels?
Bit less currency, but it's still pretty rewarding at low investment.
I even got a good ring but it just had had 4% mana reduction lol (Probably why it was cheap)
Anyways this season going to play squishy chrs So a little scared :(
Elreon's cost reduction prefix is super valuable, one of the most useful things that comes from Betrayal!
what are you play for build? i cant find your twich channel

Thank you, welcome aboard!
I dropped a Paradoxica yesterday in SSF and made a character to traffic it to trade and sold it for 11 div
Very nice.
This is EXACTLY how I feel when I drop something nice on a practice run lol. It's bittersweet.
Just got another raw Divine Orb in Act 5 doing league start practice. Sometimes it's like that!
What was that purple cyclone build throughout the video?
CoC Forbidden Rite. Fun, expensive, and a lot tougher to make work in 3.24 due to the removal of the veiled flask mana mod.
@@PathofEveningAhh damn okay, looks cool af anyway
oh dear god thank you
You're welcome!
7:13 yooo, let's hear what's in the Sex and Sex 2 stash tabs lol
Path of Evening trade secrets! =)
what build is that at 0:30 it looks so flashy O.O
Lightning Strike. This version is a Poison Pathfinder from a past league. It's dead now, but LS Champ still works!
Likewise about Vagan. been trying to get his craft in SSF for weeks now and nadda. Been turning me off from continuing with my CoC dd
Yeah, they made a lot of the food stuff from Betrayal a bit too rare.
hm... is betrayal any useful for profit? i mean except for veiled orb nearly every scarab is worth about 1c *lol
Most scarabs are worth more than 1c in bulk. For the ones that still are that worthless, you can 3-to-1 them at a vendor for random other scarabs. Because of this, a large of supply of scarabs (even low-value scarabs), can be worth a lot.
Anybody whos been farming betrayal can tell me whats the drop rate of the highest tier of scarabs for a fully leveled safehouse
Like 3 starring safehouses last leagues gave u winged scarabs but it looks like its not the same anymore this league :/
are you going Betray or expedition first after kirac?
Probably Expedition first, since it gives a mix of currency and gear crafting through Rog, but either way could be pretty good.
what is the build he used at the start called?
Lightning Strike. It's best played as a Champion build now.
@@PathofEvening ty, it looks so cool
What is that cyclone build?
Cast on Crit Forbidden Rite. It's fun, but requires a pretty high investment to get working.
@@PathofEvening thanks, yea its not for a noob player like me, probably multiple divines of investment needee
Atlas points link?
As discussed in the video, no link. Just take the Betrayal points if you want to run Betrayal.
That a shame that they removed ailsling veil and white vorici sockets
Aisling Veil was itemized and moved over to Veiled Orbs, which drop from Catarina.
Vorici Sockets are gone, though. The only alternatives are Omen of Blanching or the Harvest Benchcraft, and they're pretty expensive by comparison.
In retrospect it looks like the Catarina drop rate is waaaaaay too low. No way that it should be ok that the veiled orb is ~17div
Almost 20 catas in and 0 orbs
RNG, baby!
@7 min in when I saw your color chart with all the equipments. Notices you had sex and sex 2😅
You can have it too.
Molten shell on left click to move fully leveled is absolutely broken u have more health from molten shell than you do on your actually character thank God they removed that shit so broken and dumb ever click u give your self 3 times your health plus a buff that reduces the damage you take absolute broken mechanic needed to go thank god.
Pretty much.
Is betrayal dead? There's no way this new betrayal can be even half as good as selling aisling on tft or winged scarabs
It prints an absolute truckload of scarabs, and the uniques are still valuable.
It's still good, just distributed more evenly throughout the process.
@@PathofEvening its not just aisling. Winged scarabs are much much easier to get and is worth more imo. we also lost hillock and vorici and cinderswallow is worth jackshit now with the mana flask craft being gone. Jun is shell of its former self.
Yeah now its just braindead rush for catarina and hope for good uniques and veiled orb, building safehouse's today is time waster, specked today for essences
Beetlejuice league
100%.
Are you a physician?
No, he's not a physician. Why do you ask?
without vorici white sockets and hillocks flask quality craft betrayal is useless. what are you talking about?
Veiled Orbs, Uniques, & Scarabs are more valuable than Vorici or Hillock.
@@PathofEvening noob
idk why u constantly talk about scarabs
except of couple of them they worth next to nothing
Okay.
Why are you talking that strange like an anime boss character dude? Just relax n talk like u normally would
Interesting feedback. However, this is how Llarold always talks.
His voice is nice to listen to, very constant
