Srajo's appearance was quite a surprise. now from what we know of white whistles so far from experience... Bondrewd was polite and turned out to be messed the hell up. Ozen was rude and rough, but had overall... decently good intentions. Wonder what Srajo's known for aside from mystery.

Tis highly likely to be the case since isn't it said that all relics eventually return to the abyss? A good explanation for this to occur would be the town at the top becomes the new 1st layer and the relics in the town "return" to the abyss as a result.

What if Reg is actually Riko’s dog, Reg’s soul in a different vessel-perhaps the dog died and it’s soul returned to the bottom of the abyss where it was put into a robot. That would explain why Reg referred to Riko as his haku when telling Faputa why he was climbing the abyss; how could your most valuable thing be someone you have never met? A dogs haku would most likely be his/her owner which would explain that. Also, Reg’s name being Reg before he met Riko would also be explained. Sheru-mena is described being like Reg, so what if Sherumi and Menaes souls were put into a vessel together like Reg’s?
Dude, this is easily the best worth you've ever done so far, the animations are so well done and polished. It looks like the manga is actually moving like an actual animation reel. And the transitions are as clean as ever. And this new crew is giving me Straw Hat vibes. They feel an Abyssal pirate crew, which is really cool. Tepaste also feels like a smug Nami. The kind of person who could interrogate people and steal relics with ease. And Srajo is going to test Riko? Is this the development that we've been waiting for so long for Riko finally here? Oh boy, I'm so excited for this new arc. We've been in the Golden City for years now, so to finally reach a new arc is so exciting. Also, weren't Tepaste and big scary booba lady trying to kill each just a minute ago? Seems like she's the one who captured Tepaste as prisoner.

I had so much fun animating that squishy face sequence ngl. Its so cute lol Also Srajo is look MIGHTY FINE 😎 My guess is that those whistles belong to previous delvers associated with her team who have passed away. I would like to think she isn't a villain but who knows with this series!

Makes me think there might be time travel thing going on, the one that probably sent reg back to the surface is probably riko future.. since reg is already named reg even before he met riko... It is weird coincidence since she randomly named reg after her dog... time might be so distorted in the 7th or 8th layer that would allow time travel and such... And maybe riko really is the shrine maiden they are talking about on the children's song... something like a self fulfilling prophecy/curse that whatever happens riko will keep coming back to the bottom of the abyss...
Well that would make sense from a thematic perspective; the falling hole wouldn't be much of a adventure if it just made you exponentially slower through time as you got deeper.

Reg might not be able to remember what happend but he probably used this backstory intuitive without knowing the origin and, therefore, he once was at this point of the story. a timeloop is the only explaination I can come up with too. apart from this both incidences (Reg's name and the backstory) feels suspicious indicating some kind of a plottwist to me. so there has to be a better solution then Lyza naming Req after her dog and Riko is also doing so. It would be kinda underwhelming.

On my first watch I was impressed on the quality of the sound design! In my opinion, the most effective way to sell an animation is how well the sounds blend together and you mastered it quite nicely! I especially love the squishy noises for Faputa. Very cute addition :3 The encounter with Srajo is quite possibly the hypest moment thus far in the series. I'm enthralled for what Akihito has in store for us (more suffering for sure!)

New anime ep and chapter animation? Man this is truly a blessed day, truly a Miércoles de Made in Abyss. It has been really interesting how these last chapters have been building info and questions for this new arc and this latest chapter by connecting both groups feels like things will only get more and more interesting from now on, truly exciting. Also seeing the main group handle stuff as the a trap in such an organized way felt so good and that reveal on Srajo was so epic, the double pannel, making it in a safe spot so we could see who was behind the mask with so much detail. I liked a lot the music you used on the start, the movements on the mouths and that squish, I truly loved it haha. Looking forward to next chapter!
I also liked how careful they were being about the trap. I love how much thought goes into the character's thoughts and actions. It all feels grounded in realism and very strategic. Akihito just knows how to write characters so well! Also Srajo's reveal was absolutely insane in the manga. Happy to hear that I was able to emphasize how HUGE this is for the series right now!

I like the design of Srajo. I can see this arc is gonna be something like a delver war between 2 white whistle groups. We always heard in the story that fights often happens between delver groups or companies, but we never witnessed one.
Its funny you say that because thats where my mind was heading as well! If there is a white whistle that the group don't know about (who I'm speculating is the infamous "Shrine Maiden") and Srajo's Hail Hex seem to be targeting this Shrine Maiden and their underlings, I can only imagine some kind of delver group fight is coming!
Idk, but this talking of "fleet", "Captain Srajo", and "maelstrom" makes me think that the new arc is going to have a little bit of a "pirate's adventure" flavor. That, or I watched Pirates of the Caribbean way too much

I think that's be the last one as a climax or penultimate arc, against Lyza who could possibly be have lost in madness after being in the seventh layer for God knows how long. And it'd be versus Riko + other white whistles who may join her camp.

Actually Reg could simply have been Reg before because he was named by Lyza same as her dog which later became Riko's dog.

On my first watch I was impressed on the quality of the sound design! In my opinion, the most effective way to sell an animation is how well the sounds blend together and you mastered it quite nicely! I especially love the squishy noises for Faputa. Very cute addition :3
The encounter with Srajo is quite possibly the hypest moment thus far in the series. I'm enthralled for what Akihito has in store for us (more suffering for sure!)

New anime ep and chapter animation? Man this is truly a blessed day, truly a Miércoles de Made in Abyss. It has been really interesting how these last chapters have been building info and questions for this new arc and this latest chapter by connecting both groups feels like things will only get more and more interesting from now on, truly exciting. Also seeing the main group handle stuff as the a trap in such an organized way felt so good and that reveal on Srajo was so epic, the double pannel, making it in a safe spot so we could see who was behind the mask with so much detail. I liked a lot the music you used on the start, the movements on the mouths and that squish, I truly loved it haha. Looking forward to next chapter!
I also liked how careful they were being about the trap. I love how much thought goes into the character's thoughts and actions. It all feels grounded in realism and very strategic. Akihito just knows how to write characters so well!
Also Srajo's reveal was absolutely insane in the manga. Happy to hear that I was able to emphasize how HUGE this is for the series right now!
From the cosmo cannon music from ff7 to the hallow bastion music from kingdom hearts made this animation hit 🙌🏾 👌🏾 this was fire

I like the design of Srajo. I can see this arc is gonna be something like a delver war between 2 white whistle groups. We always heard in the story that fights often happens between delver groups or companies, but we never witnessed one.
Its funny you say that because thats where my mind was heading as well!
If there is a white whistle that the group don't know about (who I'm speculating is the infamous "Shrine Maiden") and Srajo's Hail Hex seem to be targeting this Shrine Maiden and their underlings, I can only imagine some kind of delver group fight is coming!
Idk, but this talking of "fleet", "Captain Srajo", and "maelstrom" makes me think that the new arc is going to have a little bit of a "pirate's adventure" flavor.
That, or I watched Pirates of the Caribbean way too much

I think that's be the last one as a climax or penultimate arc, against Lyza who could possibly be have lost in madness after being in the seventh layer for God knows how long. And it'd be versus Riko + other white whistles who may join her camp.
