Nice looking machine, but has a few drawbacks, limited capacity in the water pan, not quite as powerful as the previous E2 Black (from what I've heard) and the motor has been brought down from a twin stage design to a single stage, reduced in size and isn't really a bypass motor anymore since no cooling air runs along the windings (from the parts diagrams the motor windings are inside its own case like the D3 and the vacuumed air moves around the outside of that case) and the whole thing is no longer a tangential discharge. The use of six Torx screws to access the HEPA is also a bit troublesome instead of the old clip design is also a bit weird. The huge positive with the HEPA is it is incredibly large and not encased in plastic anymore so I will give that. The hose handle deleting the locking power switch is also disappointing as connecting and disconnecting the powered tools to the hose handle without locking the switch to off is somewhat inconvenient and having to hold the trigger while vacuuming large carpeted areas may fatigue some.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s always great to hear feedback on the machine's performance and design. Your insights about the motor and the HEPA filter are really valuable for anyone considering this model!
