Blue Origin NS-24 New Shepard launch and landing

- The New Shepard reusable launch system was launched from and landed at Blue Origin’s Launch Site One in West Texas, on 19 December 2023, at 16:43 UTC (10:43 CST). The New Shepard capsule carried 33 payloads. Blue Origin: “More than half of the payloads on this flight are developed and flown with support from NASA. Others come from K-12 schools, universities, and STEAM-focused organizations.” NS-24 is the ninth mission, launch and landing, for this New Shepard launch vehicle (NS4).

Why the chute reentry for the command capsule? Seems to me that the booster sticked the landing.
Parachute isn't much use on Mars.
This is a small suborbital rocket, what does it has to do with Mars? BTW also SpaceX Dragon capsule (and that actually comes from orbit) lands with a parachute and not with boosters.
Because risking the passengers on landing with the booster is a bit too much especially since the booster would have to use a lot more power and propellant at touchdown with a 6 ton-plus capsule on it. Also, the capsule at separation goes a bit higher than the booster, and then the blunt shape of the capsule makes for a more gentle reentry.
The capsule does have gas-powered retrothrusters to further cushion the landing on touchdown.

Why couldn’t you use this same method to land on the moon or mars ? You would probably need to change the programming to make up for the difference in gravity.
