This song makes me see us traveling down the road together on a new adventure. All the times I could make her laugh and smile with love radiating from her sings to me in these notes, especially the way you play them with such passion and feeling. It means a lot to me, it really does brother.

Even if there's one name on the whole soundtrack, they get a cut of every sale of each individual song, not for the whole medley. So, David Wise wouldn't get a cut for the medley as a whole, but for each individual song within it. Another thing is that Jules has to pay a licensing fee for every individual song for every time it's played as well. For single covers, often the play is worth more than the licensing fee, but when there's nine individual songs in an eight minute medley, the licensing fee is then worth more than the play is, meaning that you playing the medley on Spotify would take money out of Jules' pocket. So, while it's unfortunate, it's actually to Jules' benefit to keep this off Spotify, just so he can keep making his music.

2022 and it is still absolute magic to my ears every time I listen to this. You captured the heart and soul of DKC2 in a way that nothing else to date has even come close to. This was the song that introduced me to your music when I stumbled on it in a random mix of metal songs and covers, and the first time I heard this tears started pouring as bitter sweet memories came flooding back from the afternoons when I played Donkey Kong as a teenager. From frequently moving and always being a stranger in a new place, gaming was the only safe and familiar comfort I had but I couldn't remember what had gotten me into games or any of the titles I had played in the 80s or 90s because of several head injuries and memory loss. Besides just enjoying your music in general, several of the pieces of video game music you've covered has helped me recover pieces of my past that had been lost. I don't know if you'll ever see this comment, and I don't get to join your streams very often nor like to post stuff let alone anything like this, but after the chat at the end of your stream on 1/9 I felt like it was worth posting that you've made stuff that has had a real impact on people in ways that you may not even realize. For that, all I can say is thank you.

Heard this the first time around in 2014, and to this day it's without a doubt the best DKC2 medley I've heard, and also the cleanest. It's incredibly well put together, and the choice of sounds makes it work wonderfully with the theme of the OST.
