Here's a video idea to incorporate the pad, the roller and powerlastic products
Do the variations of single leg squats, such as:
1. RFE, Back squat, top start
2. RFE, Back squat, pin (bottom start)
3. RFE, Back squat, top start, banded
4. RFE, Back squat, pin (bottom start), banded
5. SPLIT, Back squat, top start
6. SPLIT, Back squat, pin (bottom start)
7. SPLIT, Back squat, top start, banded
8. SPLIT,, Back squat, pin (bottom start), banded
AND, ADD ANOTHER 8 VARIATIONS by switching to FRONT SQUAT
So get SQUATTING FREAKS..... Pfffffttt (classic coach Dane's elephant trumpet)
As I start training my 11 year old would something like this progression be appropriate? Would peak strength work for him?
Already working in Plyos, some sprinting, and early intro of oly lifting where I can during his football season.

Can the single leg squat help me for judo leg movements? Like osoto gari, uchimata, ouchi gari, etc?
This is fantastic. So if an athlete is doing single leg front squats, is there ever a reason to go backwards to single leg back squats? And can they just do single leg variations instead of traditional bi-lateral front or back squats?
Also, how do you safely bail out of a single leg back squat?
Is there any issues doing the single leg squat with a trap bar or safety bar?
What if you have no access to that leg rester? Bulgarian split squat ok?
Why is using a bench dangerous?
Bang for the buck.. split squats are the single greatest squats to do.
Overhead squat is the Governor.
sry i don't buy this.
I mean the weight room don't produce athletism.
We don't need additional mass based load to train unilateral strength. unilateral jumping is more than enough.
We only need weights if we train for weight lifting. I'm not saying weights are bad. But unfortunately weights are sill way too much in showcase for many sports except weight lifting of course.
