I can't stand this song. Honestly, AAR had one good album. Then they went full pop and lost literally everything that gave them any modicum of soul. They could've been great, instead, they just chased money. And it wasn't even that much money!
Why does it always seem like a song that “barely made the cut” ends up being a bands biggest hit, or at least one of their biggest hits. I think GNR sweet child o’ mine was the same way.
It’s not that difficult to accomplish that with or without fx. Before I attempted doing this, I watched a few inside the recording sessions with big bands and producers. Lots of insight. An fyi for ppl who don’t know how recording vocals works.
I saw them in concert as they were opening for another band. Normally, I would be sitting in the lawn seats, this particular show I was seeing my favorite band so I was fortunate enough to get vip seating. When all American rejects came on, it was cool at first until the lead singer started bashing the people that were sitting in the vip and saying the concert was for the less fortunate, for the people sitting in the lawn seat 😒 after that, I lost all my respect for them as a band
It’s fucking insane to me that this was the last period in time where rock dominated the charts. Like this was the soundtrack to the death of rock music as the dominant force in American/western music culture. Its also wild that this was emblematic of the kind of rock that was popular at that time- vapid, self assured, simplistic and unchallenging- and to think this actually replace the rock renaissance of the 90s, where the most popular bands on the planet were edgy and dangerous and experimental like Nirvana and Sonic Youth, the exact opposite of early-mid 00s rock like TAAR and Nickelback and Creed, which were sleek, non offending and overly produced. Just strange to see such an edgy and errant style of music Peter out into such a sad shell of itself overtime.
I saw AAR live once and threw their CD out after the show. They were that awful, and their music wasn't even that good to begin with before a bad show.
One of the best songs of the last twenty years, never gets old hearing it
💯
did you crawl in a hole on September 30th, 2008 and not emerge until 6 days ago?

I think you need to broaden your taste for music, you’ll realize how trash this song is. 😂
So worth it!!! The crowd chanting the chorus is my favorite part 🖤!!!!
Genuinely sounds like they recorded a footie crowd lmao
I always thought he looked like Cilian Murphy back about 15 years ago when this song got big. I still see it lol
I still listen to this and move along almost everyday on my way to work.
Definitely one of the best songs I've ever heard! Love it! Got me through some ish a few times 💪🫶🏼
This song honest to God helped me get through my breakup
Same
Yeah, _women_ love this song. They see some deeper value in it that just isn't there. It's interesting.

@@OfMaceAndMen Dude, you REALLY need to stop jerking it and lay off the soy. It will do wonders for your beard and muscle growth.
Same thing here bro.
Absolutely an amazing song and it still rocks all these years later!

This is back when music was fucking amazing !!!!
Always brings me back to highschool
Take me back to the simpler times😭
I remember hipsters hating on All-American Rejects back in the day but they really aged gracefully compared to some other bands from the same era.
Man they fell off since the 2010's but still together. Respect

Makes one wonder how many bangers we'll never hear because they ended up on the cutting room floor.
Vividly remember my mom playing this for the first time, still slaps
oh this is still on my punk list on Spotify 😂😂😂
I remember the video being pretty dang awesome too

Interesting dirty little secret

The triplet on percussion gets me every single time
Those drums have an unholy amount of tape on the heads
Literally their only good song so good thing they kept it in there
Move along is great too
Cpuld you imagine if we never got Gives you Hell?
I thought Ian Watkins was in prison
Don't disrespect all American rejects

Amazing cd then they started going downhill

Wild guess, leg me know if I'm correct: you're no older than 32.
Pretentious, much
one of the worst songs of the last twenty years, got old listening to it real fast

It ends tonight was better imo
I was really enjoying it until the main vocalist came in… just not my style -nothing personal.
This is when music really started to become awful.
womp womp
They had some better songs thooo
Gayest song ever
What an atrociously annoying song.
I like the song 🤷
It’s a great song.
Then move on. Nobody's forcing you to listen to it.
Glad I'm not alone. This and "party on the rooftop, top of the world" were the bane of my youth.
@@Blank587how old are you? I’m 24 and I fucking hated those songs as a kid. I was 9-12 years old when these songs were huge
I love The rejects but this song does have its annoying moments but they are outweighed by the good😂
