Best episode of Season 8. Brienne’s knighthood was one of the most touching moments in the entire series. A terrific capper on her character arc. I could’ve watched 6 hours of this episode.
Her character arc wasn't that bad~
At least it has some sense
This is the episode where "I duhn't wohnt eet" and "muh kween" are ctrl+c --> ctrl+v'd onto the script till the very end.
Randomly visit TH-cam and you guys posted this 17 seconds ago. I have really enjoyed your reaction to all of these seasons. Thanks.
She's your queen! She's your queen! SHE'S YOUR QUEEN!!!
28:15 it sounds like you don't know Jon
his honor compels him to tell her
he can't just hide a huge secret like that from her, everytime he sees her he gets reminded of that secret
I love Podrick and that "Jenny of Oldstones" song.
I think Jaime knighting Brienne is such a great moment.
Y'all being uncomfortable with the Arya/Gendry scene was hilarious. 😂 A lot of people were the same way when this aired, since we all basically watched her grow up on the show.
Well, next episode's reaction should be interesting. Glad your patrons warned you about it being dark and how it might be hard to see. I think it depends on your TV though, because I remember not having any issue seeing what was going on, but afterwards a bunch of people online complained about not being able to see.
I don't recall Jon having dreams about killing Robb. He loved Robb a lot. His character is different in the books though, particularly in the first couple books when he is still young. He is quite bitter about how his birth/station hold him back compared to people he sees as inferior (I don't recall him thinking he is superior to the Stark children, but he does think it about other children in noble houses, like Joffrey and Tommen and others).
So the rewatch highlighted something for me, independent of discussions on the quality of S8: shows like this are just much more interesting when they present questions to us, not when they provide answers.
This was a season full of answers, and it’s understandable that interest wanes as it continues.
The only real advantage Tyrion had at Blackwater was the wildfire.
25:35 Aegon was born in Westeros, on Dragonstone. But the prophecy was what pushed him to conquer Westeros. Or at least that's what the shows GOT and HOTD have been pushing
I dont want it
My queen
I don't wunt it
U r muh queen
UH DUHN'T WUHN ET
MUH KUHWEEEN
i love thormund, 'i'd knight you 10 times over' :')
Best episode of season 8
It is such a W episode and Podrick singing is epic. "Jenny of Oldstones" damn great song! The episode's name fits really well and I am waiting for the storm of your thoughts about the next one.
24:55 The valyrian steel dagger is called Catspaw
Can’t wait for the next reaction
Such a good episode, and the next is even better.!! Can’t wait for the reaction
30:52 but your whole point doesn't make sense because your looking at it in a perpective of usefulness to the story, from an outside perspective and things don't always work like that
you need to look at it from the perspective of what the characters are feeling in the scene
Jon was never gonna be able to not tell her that secret
maybe if they hadn't seen each other at all until the end of the battle, but they spent so much time together that it's not even a possibility for him to hold the secret until after the battle
Best ep of the season imo.
By far.
22:58 That's one way to sum it up lol. This episode is the best of this season though, I'm glad we have some characters' moments before their assassination. Totally understand Jackson's decision to give up after this.😅
"They're easily manipulated" jajajaja 😮
But she’s muh Queen.😂
She’s McQueen
Kchaaaaw
So it begins.
Brienne being knighted literally makes me happy cry every time I love her 😭❤️
Keep up with the reactions, guys ! Sending love from Japan 🇯🇵✨
Me when i use my vpn for the first time:
Imho, season 8’s only real purpose was giving us the best of Jaime’s character after 7 long seasons of build up. We never get to see his prime as a Knight, but we get to see his pride. A protector of the realm doesn’t have to be righteous or even honorable, they just have to be there when it counts.
I think what needs to be remembered is that Tyrion has been a hand regarding Kingslanding and Westros a place he knows a lot about and is why he excelled at it. He's now a hand of a foreigner and it's not quite the same the advices he's given don't work the same way. I also think there's a part of him that feels bad for murdering his father. He was taught by his father that family legacy and continuation are the most important things in life. This has stuck with him and while his father was a jerk this wasn't a bad lesson to teach his children. This makes Tyrion want to believe and trust his sister and hopes for the best for her and Jamie. First he was a hand to AID his family, now he's a hand AGAINST his family. Also, just because he's smart doesn't mean he's going to get things right all the time. All these factors considered I think is why he's had such a downward path.
"He's not the same as he used to be" Yes, he is, these are just VERY different circumstances. AGAIN, he is a hand AGAINST his fam this time, not to help his fam. This makes a HUGE difference.
It would be awesome if you guys watch Dune recent movies by Denis Villeneuve!!!
I am excited about 8x3...
"They'll be safe down in the crypt" .. with all the dead bodies... fighting against a guy who uses zombies...
Wait, can zombies dig? Especially hard frozen dirt. Maybe hiding in deep, narrow dungeons isn't such a dumb idea.
They got it wrong, knighted females are called Dame not sir.
Despite the overall opinions of Season 8, this episode is one of my favorites in the whole series. You can tell it's a love letter to the story by the director and writers of this episode :D
I hope you guys binge the last 3 episodes of the series, and then post a jumbo-sized reaction for it. Lots of other shows to rip through, so content isn't gonna slow down much (Dark, if you guys go w/ 3 Body Problem, you can do Fringe, or literally one of a thousand other things). Just consider it
"Jaime has valyrian steel, maybe he kills the Night King"
Where's that greentext
On the eave of battle, Jon/Aegon drops like the biggest bomb on Danny 😂 Poor decision making 😂
15:33 this is the start of maybe the best scene in GoT?
27 from Australia named my daughter lianna not spelt the same but pronounced exact same baby mother still doesn't know where the name came from 🤫🤫🤫
Why did you spell it with a i it looks better with the y to me
@@yomamma.ismydaddy216 I agree champ but yah know we was watching together at the time lucky she did not notice ✌🏽🙆🏽♂️☠️🤣
Ok so we are here now.
BRAN is the villain. Brandon is not Brandon stark. He is the 3 eyed raven. He is Brandon RIVERS. A Targaryen. If not for Brandon. The night king would not be in Westeros. If not for Brandon. Jon would not know his heritage. Brandon set everything in motion…on purpose!!! He is really the villain. Pay close attention to
I’d rank the season 8 episodes from best to worst: 2,3,1,6,5,4
So Penguin reaction after this right? Or just one piece so you guys can become weekly watchers with the rest of us. God I can't wait for you guys to catch up on that. Either way we eating good.
At this pace it’ll take years 😭😭😭
I"m amazed at how much Mckay looks like a spongebob character.
He’s adorable though
Cannon: They're racist!
lmao if I ever meet you guys irl, drinks are on me.
It’s silly that they decided to have jons name be aegon, and it’s almost definitely going to be something different in the books.. Rhaegar literally already had a son name aegon, no way he’s gonna have two sons and give them both the exact same name that is ridiculous lol
no the fan service wouldn't be all in 1 episode. it will be a whole season
The first 3 episodes of this season are good but the last three fail in to many things, just enjoy guys but its not the same peak, the only thing that get better are the visuals, the writing is really poor in the last episodes
Are y’all all brothers?
Yes they're all sons of Joseph Smith 🥁🪇
No only the black shirt in the middle and the one to his right
@@smithy547 but don’t they have the same last name as brig?
@@smithy547 (from left to right) 2, 3, and 5 are related I think.
From left to right, I’m pretty sure 1 and 4 are brothers. 2 and 3 are brothers and 5 is 2 and 3s cousin.
❤️🔥
29:20 😂😂😓 äh... lol (?)...
I'm more interested in them reacting to history and lore videos and just fan content about the books. I hope they don't just leave this universe after the show is over
I want them to react to history and lores. They seem to really like and be interested in Aegon the Conqueror. The Conquest and Rebellion history and lore is one of the best.
same i think it would be nice for them to watch it
Oh you just wait🙄
Im so early holy
Why didn't Jack watch past the next episode?
Because he heard it wasn't good so he didn't watch the last 3 episodes.
"I know it's gonna get worse"
Just this makes me less invested in these reactions. Guys, just go into other shows blind. Anticipating based on imdb ratings/spoilers from community's opinion makes the whole reaction worse
But it does get worse…
Honestly, after all the prophecies Daenerys has fulfilled, she has more claim
She has no claim as soon as it’s revealed jon is rhaegars son
doesn't matter if she's a woman and there IS a male heir. got/medieval society...
Daenerys has done all the hard work for House Targaryen. All of it. Jon has done nothing so why should she step aside for him. I get its a medieval society. Blah blah blah. They threw those rules out when the show allowed Cersei to be uncontested Queen in the south after mass murdering civilians and the equivalent of the Pope and blowing up the equivalent of the Vatican.
@@zeroknight4517 I don't care about that tho
@@icechoc well no one knew jon was a targaryen, so how should he do something FOR THE HOUSE TARGARYEN? So Dani "just" got allies, her only plan was to go to Westeros and get the Throne.. while Jon on his made his journey behind the wall and start fighting for the world/humanity..
5 episodes left and they do another filler episode!
The last good episode. :(
"I know this season is gonna get worse". Why do you say that? Because a bunch of butt-hurt fan Bois didn't like how the series ends? Cause those are the only people that complain about this season.
Sansa. The one so quick to forgive Jaime who actually harmed her family but has issue with someone who has done nothing to her.
Guy with glasses is right. Tyrion is better suited for times of peace. Not war. He won the Battle of Blackwater because of the wildfire. Without that he'd be screwed. He isn't suited for war. To say he would have led the Lannisters to victory in war without the wildfire (and the Tyrells and Tywin coming to save them at the end) is crazy.
Northern independence is over idealised. They suffered multiple famines and were more poor off pre unification. Also, the North contributed to the destruction in the south alongside the Lannisters. Granted, they went out because Ned was killed but Sansa trying to monopolise victimhood solely for the North is so wrong as the south suffered too.
The Starks have actually come out better than most other great houses. They only lost Ned, Robb and Catelyn. All the Martells, Tyrells and Baratheons are dead. There's 1 Arryn and 1 Tully. 1 Targaryen.
The North are xenophobic and racist. Sansa and Jon saying they simply don't trust people from the south. They didn't look at any of the southerners when they came in Season 1 like they do at Grey Worm and Missandei specifically. They don't look at Davos, Melisandre or Tormund - a Wildling who have been the enemy to Northerners for centuries - like that either. Only Grey Worm and Missandei.
I loved the Brienne scene though.
@@icechoc Daenerys *only* took the North Independence away. The one who’s says she’s nor her father, but.. I love see you crying every video cause we all know what’s happened, and you still can’t digest.
@@icechoc You edit your comment 300 times already, would be better to just delete and do it again. 🤣🤣🤣
@jota78012 - the hostility and rudeness from you over a TV show. I've commented one other video before this. Acting like I comment on every video. You just have issue because you're a Stark bum.
I'm going to judge about things that have happened so far, obviously. Not things to happen in the future.
I call out bad writing and you have fault with that.
@@jota78012- what's your problem? I'll edit it 100 times if I want. I haven't edited out anything. I edit and add more information as the reaction goes on because I want to get all my thoughts down. Does it cost you rent? No then stfu
There you go. I edited this comment too just for you. Also, as for the 'crying.' I've commented on like maximum 4 reaction videos. I'm allowed to call out bad writing if I want too. Just like you're allowed to bum the Starks as you do. If my comments trigger you so much then scroll on. You cry right back defending everything the Starks do so...
@@icechoc calm down daenerys little dog
Uhm guys when is Harry Potter World reaction happening? Update and please react soon. I cannot wait any longer😔
Season 8 is great but people will nitpick its flaws.
By all means, please, tell me what's "great" about this season.
you have to be trolling 😆 s8 has 5 of the worst episodes in the entire show by far (and the entire season is only 6 episodes mind you).
@@benboothroyd1523has to be bait 😂 really only 2 bad episodes in s8
Enlighten us, please. Why is it great?
It is better than some of the other seasons like season 6, but people are blinded by group bias
I hate Jon and Danerys as a couple so much, even Jon and Sansa would be better.
Ew
Or Jon and Arya
@@ironbark7918I’m behind this ship. “Jarya”.
WTF. This is SOMEHOW much more disgusting than him actually dating his aunt
@@Sigma4k_ Who’s talking about being disgusting? Grow up, I’m talking about the dynamic, I could care less with Aunt/Sister/Cousin bullshit
