  • Project Freebie pt3 from turning this late 1991 1.3 Golf mk2 into a 2.0 16V ABF,
    Part 1 showing how to fit a Golf mk3 fuel tank.
    Part 2 Showing how to fit and what parts are needed for hydraulic clutch.
    In this video I continue finding parts in the hope of making a whole complete ABF clone, plus need update on the engine bay.
    Golf mk2 BBS RM forged bottom end, high comp, 6 speed gearbox engine sway conversion, pedal box.

    Are you blocking the crank case breather valve?

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You ask a good question, I don't really know, for the moment I'll just have a filter on the end of a pipe, but later on with a catch can I may also use a PCV valve.

    What do you need yo install the alternator without installing the ac compressor and the steering pump? I dont understand the setup

    Hi what's the benefit of using a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator? I think i noticed a vernier pulley, is this an otherwise standard engine?

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, the benefit is a little bit more head room fuel wise, few videos covering the messed up parts bin that this engine is, ported head, Schrick 268º's Schrick alloy baffled sump, Wossner pistons taken down to hopefully 11.5:1, scat rods, 1Y 1.9D block with ABF crank (still 2.0) M12 1.9 PD head bolts, K-data standalone ecu. Group N ex manifold, more mods to come with a home made inlet manifold, inner cam vernier pulley, split 268 272 cams.

    Nando, need your help.
    Mantendo a mecânica toda original, sem qualquer atualização de ECU, somente com uma bomba de combustível que tem mais débito (bomba dos mk1 gtis), fará sentido montar um regulador de pressão de 4 bar?

      @RestoDesignsnando  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I do refer to an old Haynes manual for the torque settings, try to find the older ones for the mk3 as they show a lot more info as there are two editions, new and old.

      @geortsam5272 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@geortsam5272 yes that is right, the block apart from the oil pump setup being driven off the shaft instead of the distributor is basically the same as 2E or AGG 2.0 8V of corse the head is different, for that checkout the Golf mk2 Haynes.
