Glad to see get to work getting the recognition she deserves. It definitely needs an update because the shop system runs like shit, but having active careers and basically being able to run any retail business you want is huge.
It still bugs me that colours are reversed by default. Best one should be green as „go for it” and „good”. Red, to me, it’s obvious „stop” „danger” „don’t touch”.
Think of it like red as being the hottest and thing you are most passionate about, and green as being sickly, makes you a bit disgusted and pale. Not completely the right connotations with the context, but it helps to see red as good and green as bad
The fact that I was so confused when I saw Paranormal Stuff labelled as a “stuff pack” cause with the amount of stuff in it I keep thinking it’s a “game pack”
If this was sims 3, tiny living would’ve been in eco lifestyle (I will die on this hill I mean ladders and how eco tiny homes are???), dine out would’ve been in get to work, get famous in city living, toddler/kids stuff in parenthood, Ofc my first cash grab in cats and dogs, and backyard/patio in seasons. Not to mention things like courtyard in wedding stories or romantic garden/vintage glamour in get together.
I agree with this comment. Sooo many of these things could've just been combined into a single pack together. I feel that seasons should have been in the base game tbh.
I do agree, you are right. But also I think it wouldn’t be as good as dine out if that makes sense. The game packs let them go into deeper level than they would otherwise. And also there would always be stuff packs, there always was.
Hi Jesse, I know you probably won't see this but I'm commenting this a soon as i can so you have a chance of seeing it. I've been watching you for over 2 years now and have loved all of your videos. I've watched your videos when I was in some of the darkest parts of my life and your phenomenal sense of unhinged humour had always cheered me up and taken my mind off of everything for a little while. I just wanted to write this to let you know how many people love you and how amazing you are. We all love you so much ♡♡♡
Absolutely agree with your rankings, and also just realized as I was watching that I haven't had my Sims go on vacation in literally years. I really enjoyed the Outdoor Retreat and Jungle Adventure packs! Need to metaphorically dust them off and play with them again...
4:37 that reminded me of going through my old youtube comments and i found one under the cats and dogs trailer "so what are we getting THE SIMS 4 RODENTS next??" ... honey, you've got a big storm coming ...
I use the maximalist kit all of the time. Best kit yet, lots of fun and pairs with the paranormal stuff in a good way. I've turned many houses into poorly designed maximalist spaces (because I am not great at designing, but I am trying lol).
Parenthood had some really cool parts of it and I think it’s a cool idea. It just makes me sad to think we probably won’t get a generations pack because of what Parenthood is. It’s just a baby version of Generations which is so disappointing. 😭
I think it helps to put them in context of when they were released. I think the apartments and new food stalls/recipes, karaoke etc was so fun at the time!
Love the idea of "unlocking" bonus content by adding it to the original world map. Between load screens and separate maps for each world, everything feels so disconnected.
In Sims 2 you can apply for scholarships and go to 3 different distinct universities although the classes were just a rabbit hole basically. Although you could befriend your professors.
I wish they had done more of a treasure hunt for island living. There is such a good story behind all of the collectible items with that pack, plus the ABSOLUTELY UNOPENABLE HIDDEN TREASURE CHEST in the sunken ship. Like. Make it so you have to find all the treasure collectibles to "unlock" the ability to find the key to that goddamn chest. Why bother making the item and hiding it in that wall if there is zero reason for it in the game
I am 100% with you on loving all the spooky stuff the ONLY issue I had with spooky stuff was that I THOUGHT since I had the holiday and seasons packs I would be able to trick or treat because I had Halloween as an option but then I tried to do it and realized I had to have spooky stuff and I feel like they all should have come together 😭
What you said about Island Living is how I feel about Sims. It feels great at first but it is just surface level. I have most packs but I think only University, Tiny Living and Cottage Living were actually good. There are other packs I like but I don't use them that much and I don't think they were worth the money. That is why I would put most packs in the middle tier
You pull off so many haircolors Plumbella! This one is one of my favorites on you I've seen, idk I just think you wear this mixed amber tones really well! Thanks for ranking these packs I always appreciate seeing your ranking vids cuz I just play base game 😅
I was completely unphased by Laundry Day... until recently, where a house I grabbed off of the gallery included items from it and since that I do thoroughly enjoy the gameplay mechanics of it.
If you like the idea of farm and it is on sale I would recommend country life, is a lot of fun ☺️. But I think you can have fun with most expansion pack if you don’t have many packs to begin with.
I'm glad Jesse appreciates outdoor retreat. I've been playing it through again recently and it actually has a lot of good qualities that aren't necessarily obvious. Including hermit's secret world, the whole insect collection and the extra fish. If you build a bar and outdoor movie night in the world it ends up being a good holiday for your Sims too
I'm middle of the road on the supernatural packs and I LOVE Vampires.. I think it was VERY well done too! My only gripe about it is that it's super annoying to try to have a vampire that doesn't feed on other sims because you have to have them eat SO many times to get full (or even no longer dying of hunger). It's just not fun to have to queue up "Drink Plasma Pack" 20x or the other options that don't include feeding on a sim.
@@hanscapon222 honestly same tbh I love hearing stories about other people's siblings but I would not want to have any myself, my childhood was just fine 🥰
i love vampires i will talk about vampires for hours i am so obsessed with the vampires game pack its the greatest thing ever created i love it so much i love vampires
4:38 Cats and Dogs was the first expansion pack I got, and I remember I made like six dogs only to then find out I can't control them It was absolute chaos, I don't think I ever continued playing on that save
I like different packs to everyone else ☺️ I spent most time with city living, bowling stuff, dine out, spa day and now I pretty much just do country life plays. My main sim was living and running a little burger restaurant/bowling alley/gym 😁. At this point I’d pay for an expansion that just reviews and improves all the previous packs. There is a lot of things could be tweaked and improved.
What features does City living have? Normal houses just put in the air to make apartments. Loading screens, a karaoke object, repetitive festivals and a city that isn't really that big since it probably has less lots than willow creek
@@GeoMusic99 You're really understating the added value of apartments, in my opinion! And San Myshuno is such a bustling metropolis full of life, unlike any other world in The Sims 4. I simply love City Living, and it's one of the most beloved packs for a reason. But if you dislike it, that's obviously all fine!
@@GeoMusic99 I LOVE city living. I love the food stalls where we can learn more recipes. I love the run down apartments with the leaky pipes and rodents. I love the basketball courts. I love the ambient sounds of the city while I play. I love neighbors banging on my door if I'm throwing a party, it feels more alive than other worlds.
Well I'm just explaining how one might see it as not such a great pack. Plumbella has played apartments in previous games and obviously knows how much better they were and how much more content it could have had. In my opinion even for Sims 4 standards it has way too little content.
city living felt sooo much more alive than the other neighbourhoods!! My neighbors are always chilling in the hallway or knocking on my door. Feels like uni
video idea: best sims 4 features across all packs (reputation system, creating clubs, simple living lot trait, cafés, festivals, bicycles, roommates, RABBITS AND FOXES ROAMING AROUND etc.) Why? Because I don't care about the worlds or the cas. I have my sims, they live where they live, they wear cc. But I need the packs for the FEATURES
I don't want a Sims 5. I just want Sims to overwork every pack and learn from their mistakes. Not just new good packs i want changes to the existing ones!
@4:50 - Nah. Seasons (the only expansion I have; only other pack I have is Tiny Living) should be down at Emotional Damage for all the outside furniture it's destroyed with endless lightning storms...
I, personally, found it horrifying that the completely broken Dream Home Decorator ranked equal with Strangerville, which I love. 😂 But overall interesting rankings. Moschino was broken when it came out? I hadn’t heard that. I bought it just recently for the career mainly, thinking the additional camera controls would be a nice bonus, but I have fallen in love with this long baggy tshirt it came with. I am short. Every shirt I wear is long. It’s so nice to finally have an option that’s casual and not a crop top. Way too many of my Sims are now wearing this as pajamas.
this is so thankful thank uu!! i feel like i have a similar playstyle (tho i only have a couple of packs, city living vampires seasons the only big ones atm) also i love your energy its very comforting and just nice :D excited to waste my money on new packs
Nifty knitting has to be one of my favourite stuff packs because you can listen to heavy metal while knitting 😂 that and unlocking clothes as you level up is really cool
lol pretty much all the packs in "bovvered" are my favourite ones in the game (shes right about get together being the best x pac tho it is so slept on for the amount of gameplay they gave us)
Just barely started the video and already gotta say, the ranking system is the funniest I've seen yet. XD I'd say "Seasons" is in the top tier for me, only because I'm not NOT going to have a life sim game where the atmosphere NEVER changes. It's one of the main things I wanted back in Sims 1, to make it "feel complete" (the other was "aging and genetics"). Also, reason to celebrate outside your house? I recently made up a holiday where one of the traditions was "streaking", and I swear, EVERYBODY WAS JUST GOING ABOUT THEIR REGULAR DAY, BUT NAKED. I thought they'd, y'know, _streak_ , as in run by really fast naked. Nope, they were chatting to each other, checking their phones, walking across the street, doing random sit-ups on the sidewalk...all the regular Sims 4 stuff but nude, and everybody was acting like this was totally normal. I just DIED laughing. So yeah, that's one way to make a holiday interesting outside of just your Sim's lot! XD
I think I agree with most of your opinions (aside from kits, most of those would be very low) and for a pack like university, I think I played college once but like I’ve used the build and cas items so much that it’s worth it
I’ve been in so many fandoms and I’ve seen a pattern in all of them - Limited time, so many projects people are passionate about but deadlines make them cut lines and ignore red flags just to push it out The sims is so pressured under deadlines and money limits
I get why City Living and Get Famous are where they are, because usually when I play with the one I play with the other. They really should've come together, because Get Famous in a City would honestly trump all other packs. BUT I LOVE THOSE PACKS. I love living in San Myshuno; it's my no.1 world to live in. And I love the townies, and the cas, and the build/buy and basically everything that came with the pack, even the stupid, annoying neighbors. The biggest detriment is that, yes, it's like 99% tied to the world, and unfortunately, that is why we haven't had another city world. And I desperately want another city world. Also, Get Famous. The world is awful. It's tiny but somehow the lots are also too big. I can't even visit the beach. I can either live in an ugly neighborhood or all the way up in the massive lots of the big hills. I hate it. But I love the fame system, which is PERFECT, btw, with its stupid quirks and the multiple ways to get famous that integrates well into other packs, and the acting career is hands down my favorite career in the entire game. If City Living + Get Famous came together in a single pack, with all the same content except no Del Sol Valley, it would really just be the most perfect, completely worth it pack.
Watching this made me realise how little i actually use most of these packs beyond CAS and Build mode despite having them all (apart from bust the dust. I cba with that)
OMG the same packs i enjoy so much are up there in shiddin, crying screaming lol ! I also love get to work and island living. anything spooky and to get me away from home for a while
I wish we got some wildlife like in the sims 2 and 3. Bears in outdoor retreat. Raccoons in city living, deer in cats and dogs. Even if you couldn’t interact with them, it would be so cool if they just walk past your house every now and then.
I kinda like dine out 😅 love talking my sim out dining as dates, family get together ore just hanging out with friends, and i dont know if they changed it but i feel its easier to own youre own restaurant and do very well and earn a lot (just only make the food your cooks have skills to so when you have full level cooks, just make 5/5 ratings food and only the most expencive 😅
i am buying a pack for the summer vacation but Idk which one i already have get to work, Island living, cottage living, cats and dogs, eco lifestyle and seasons i am mainly considering get famous, and parenthood but I also am kind of thinking of disciver university or city living i normaly like gameplay where you start with 2 poor sims and then build up their skills, wealth and make them have a family i also like building🤗
I love Island Living and of all the packs I own I probably play it most and use the stuff from build/buy all the time in almost every build I do. However, I keep seeing people complain about the mermaids, saying that they're not very good or could be so much better. I'll admit that they weren't an important part of my decision to buy the pack, so while I have played them a bit I don't exactly give them a lot of thought. So, I'm curious to hear your ideas for how they could be made significantly better.
@@tallulahbrown5864 do you know if that pack introduce significant bugs? I suppose that would have been a better question. Which packs introduce major bugs and glitches and simulation lag to the game? I feel Eco Lifestyle might be slowing my game down a lot but I love townies in that pack and the world. I have a big problem deciding which to uninstall because I like getting what I paid for. I wish EA/Maxis would worry more about optimizing the game across all platforms instead of giving us townie refreshes. 🙃
Last time I went camping I almost cut off my thumb so hopefully this year is going to be better. But yes camping is great and there should be a lot more gameplay
Hot take: I kinda stan jungle adventure?? It was really fun to play through and actually difficult. Also I'm glad one of you sees the completely obvious value in spooky stuff.
Imo hot tubs have always been in the base game until 4. And as someone who does not own every pack, regardless of owning the game when it first came out, gimmie my base game hot tub. However, I do agree that they could have done MORE for the anniversary.

Glad to see get to work getting the recognition she deserves. It definitely needs an update because the shop system runs like shit, but having active careers and basically being able to run any retail business you want is huge.
Got it for the aliens, fell in love with the scientist career
THESE TIER NAMES WERE ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY
It still bugs me that colours are reversed by default. Best one should be green as „go for it” and „good”. Red, to me, it’s obvious „stop” „danger” „don’t touch”.
Stopp that bugged me the whole time 😭 I was so confused at first
I was extremely confused at first then she complimented the higher tiers so it finally properly registered in my head which was good and bad lmaoo
I was looking for this comment and YESSS! This aaalways bothers me.
literally all I could think about the entire video😅
We all love you so much ♡♡♡
wholesome 💕💕
AHHHH HEN i’m so glad i could be there for you 💜
Absolutely agree with your rankings, and also just realized as I was watching that I haven't had my Sims go on vacation in literally years. I really enjoyed the Outdoor Retreat and Jungle Adventure packs! Need to metaphorically dust them off and play with them again...
i wish there was a way to explore the jungle pack without risking death ,, i would love to just be able to explore the world and just do the journey
I've turned many houses into poorly designed maximalist spaces (because I am not great at designing, but I am trying lol).
if you like it, that’s all that matters !! ❤
Parenthood had some really cool parts of it and I think it’s a cool idea. It just makes me sad to think we probably won’t get a generations pack because of what Parenthood is. It’s just a baby version of Generations which is so disappointing. 😭
“Left wing, left handed and left at the alter” is hands down best commentary
I agree with most of your list. My one strong disagreement is city living because it's one of my favorites. But we all like different things.
i find myself playing with city living the most because i like the apartments but i don’t really vibe w the clothes/furniture
I think it helps to put them in context of when they were released. I think the apartments and new food stalls/recipes, karaoke etc was so fun at the time!
Same. I always always play in the city!
Love the idea of "unlocking" bonus content by adding it to the original world map. Between load screens and separate maps for each world, everything feels so disconnected.
i constantly think about how i never bought strangerville, it just showed up in my game one day. genuinely. so yknow, throwin’ up, cryin.
early to a plumbella upload? handed in my last uni assignment for the semester? hens i am thrivin
Best day ever
Proud of you babe 💅
Finally someone who appreciates the vampires as much as I do 😭😭😭
I like the vampire
Yesss ikr
In Sims 2 you can apply for scholarships and go to 3 different distinct universities although the classes were just a rabbit hole basically. Although you could befriend your professors.
Jessie: who wants to climb a fucking wall
Me, watching plumbella to chill out after a climbing session: um, I feel personally attacked
Video idea - Which packs grouped together would have been better if they were one pack?
What you said about Island Living is how I feel about Sims. It feels great at first but it is just surface level. I have most packs but I think only University, Tiny Living and Cottage Living were actually good. There are other packs I like but I don't use them that much and I don't think they were worth the money. That is why I would put most packs in the middle tier
stop i was just looking for a video with the packs ranked😭 love your videos by the way💕
Plumbella's ranking is the only ranking that matters
You pull off so many haircolors Plumbella! This one is one of my favorites on you I've seen, idk I just think you wear this mixed amber tones really well! Thanks for ranking these packs I always appreciate seeing your ranking vids cuz I just play base game 😅
I was completely unphased by Laundry Day... until recently, where a house I grabbed off of the gallery included items from it and since that I do thoroughly enjoy the gameplay mechanics of it.
"Left-winged, left-handed, and left at the alter" -- Jesse McNamara 2022
This list might come in handy on choosing what packs to get. I only have a couple and I have been trying to see what’s good and what’s bad 😂
If you like the idea of farm and it is on sale I would recommend country life, is a lot of fun ☺️. But I think you can have fun with most expansion pack if you don’t have many packs to begin with.
Plumbella: I didn't really like University in Sims 3
Me, who nearly failed my IRL degree putting my Sims 3 through college: cannot relate.
“I got to do it, I got to do it to em.”
Your personality is fantastically fantastical. Lol. You rock, lovey.
Absolutely brilliant,, definitely agree about spooky stuff, vampires and paranormal, I love them,, :)
I am an only child so I genuinely love hearing your stories about your family and siblings ❤️
Only child check but I do love being an only child, wouldn’t trade it for anything.
@@hanscapon222 honestly same tbh I love hearing stories about other people's siblings but I would not want to have any myself, my childhood was just fine 🥰
@@auntiem0thman haha me too
never had to share or fight with siblings, great
i love vampires i will talk about vampires for hours i am so obsessed with the vampires game pack its the greatest thing ever created i love it so much i love vampires
4:38 Cats and Dogs was the first expansion pack I got, and I remember I made like six dogs only to then find out I can't control them
It was absolute chaos, I don't think I ever continued playing on that save
Lmao. Play it and upload it. I would love to see it
@@SnowBlackQueen maybe I should shdhfjfj
I'll try to figure out how to do that
Loving the consistency each year. Great series.
I am OFFENDED by City Living not being in the top tier, but hey; to each their own!!! Great list otherwise.
Feels like uni
video idea: best sims 4 features across all packs
(reputation system, creating clubs, simple living lot trait, cafés, festivals, bicycles, roommates, RABBITS AND FOXES ROAMING AROUND etc.)
Why? Because I don't care about the worlds or the cas. I have my sims, they live where they live, they wear cc. But I need the packs for the FEATURES
I love ranking videos like this! I can really tell that you are a “game play” simmer by your rankings.
why did I just watch the old video 20 minutes ago?? and now there's a new one :D love it
I’m glad I’m not the only person who loves outdoor retreat!
I don't want a Sims 5. I just want Sims to overwork every pack and learn from their mistakes. Not just new good packs i want changes to the existing ones!
I loved your cottage living lp so much that I have a save where I play as a grown up Daisy McCowtippin’
But overall interesting rankings. Way too many of my Sims are now wearing this as pajamas.
thank you so much! exactly when I needed it, too - I only have about 15 or so of them, and I was wondering which one(s) to get next
Your videos always brighten up my day ❤️
this is so thankful thank uu!! i feel like i have a similar playstyle (tho i only have a couple of packs, city living vampires seasons the only big ones atm) also i love your energy its very comforting and just nice :D excited to waste my money on new packs
Nifty knitting has to be one of my favourite stuff packs because you can listen to heavy metal while knitting 😂 that and unlocking clothes as you level up is really cool
What was the 'Ball Pool Incident'? Plumbella ominiously brushed over that.
You are a true gift that will always have me shiddin cryin and violently throwing up!
lol pretty much all the packs in "bovvered" are my favourite ones in the game (shes right about get together being the best x pac tho it is so slept on for the amount of gameplay they gave us)
1:35 In regards to Batuu: Straight to jail.
Your haircolour and the highlights are fookin stunning!
The tier names are iconic
XD
I think I agree with most of your opinions (aside from kits, most of those would be very low) and for a pack like university, I think I played college once but like I’ve used the build and cas items so much that it’s worth it
The fact that Cottage Living wasn't top tier makes me salty as f*ck
@5:50 "I'm left-wing, left-handed and left at the altar" I am DEAD
I’ve been in so many fandoms and I’ve seen a pattern in all of them
-
Limited time, so many projects people are passionate about but deadlines make them cut lines and ignore red flags just to push it out
The sims is so pressured under deadlines and money limits
Am I bovvered was Catherine Tate not Vicky Pollard hahaha. Other than that, flawless tier list 👌🏼
Even if you couldn’t interact with them, it would be so cool if they just walk past your house every now and then.
yess vampires and spooky stuff getting the recognition they deserve ✨
I kinda like dine out 😅 love talking my sim out dining as dates, family get together ore just hanging out with friends, and i dont know if they changed it but i feel its easier to own youre own restaurant and do very well and earn a lot (just only make the food your cooks have skills to so when you have full level cooks, just make 5/5 ratings food and only the most expencive 😅
Havent played the sims 4 in like a year and a half but I still love watching your videos!!
i am buying a pack for the summer vacation but Idk which one i already have get to work, Island living, cottage living, cats and dogs, eco lifestyle and seasons
i am mainly considering get famous, and parenthood
but I also am kind of thinking of disciver university or city living
i normaly like gameplay where you start with 2 poor sims and then build up their skills, wealth and make them have a family
i also like building🤗
i dont completely agree with ur ranking but i absolutely agree with ur vibes and humour, love that, love u ❤
Thank you for this!! I've been contemplating another pack
So, I'm curious to hear your ideas for how they could be made significantly better.
what packs would you recommend uninstalling to make the game run smoother for someone who owns them all expect for Bantu and Wedding Stories?
Dine out to glitchy
@@tallulahbrown5864 do you know if that pack introduce significant bugs? I suppose that would have been a better question. Which packs introduce major bugs and glitches and simulation lag to the game? I feel Eco Lifestyle might be slowing my game down a lot but I love townies in that pack and the world. I have a big problem deciding which to uninstall because I like getting what I paid for. I wish EA/Maxis would worry more about optimizing the game across all platforms instead of giving us townie refreshes. 🙃
@@glitchgoblin1338 i’ve heard eco lifestyle is game breaking but i can’t confirm that x)
I would love to see Jesse making a tier list ranking every sims 3 pack
dawg every time you post i get so pumped, thanks for all you do 🥳❤️
Last time I went camping I almost cut off my thumb so hopefully this year is going to be better. But yes camping is great and there should be a lot more gameplay
And have they even added that window in the industrial loft kit
It was added to Base Game
Was it hmm I must live under a rock 🪨
Nothing to look forward to but this right now. Was about time for a pack list.. also I am fucking loving your hair beautiful babe❤️
Hot take: I kinda stan jungle adventure?? It was really fun to play through and actually difficult. Also I'm glad one of you sees the completely obvious value in spooky stuff.
a video, i had no idea i needed
Can you do a CC pack tier list? I already know the harry potter pack would be in shiddin cryin violently throwin up haha!
Honestly surprised Backyard Stuff didn't make the "emotional damage" courtesy of the hot tub anniversary fiasco, haha
Imo hot tubs have always been in the base game until 4. And as someone who does not own every pack, regardless of owning the game when it first came out, gimmie my base game hot tub. However, I do agree that they could have done MORE for the anniversary.
I love Paranormal Stuff. It’s my favorite non-expansion pack!!
earliest i’ve ever been omg!
