Same, I play for a while then I drop it. I don't know how people play the sims 2 for hours on end. In fact, I can't even get into that game I love the sims 3 though now that I can play for hours.
Yeah so true. And esp. when Sims 4 creators nowadays only do build challenges. Thats why I misses Life Simmer. She actually play the game and I saw her streaming a couple of times but I just camt get into streaming coz I loved her storyline for her sims and missing a stream could mean I'll miss those
Another way to have successful parties in Sims 2 is by positively interacting with the guests you invited. Talking to them, joking with them, flirting, whatever! It makes parties so much easier.
Party scores reflect the collective relationship gain during it! So if all the sims are interacting and building relationship the score will be better. Thats also means relationship loss will make for a worse party, like if a fight breaks out or someone is caught cheating. So interacting with guests is important but so is using influence points to have your sim influence guests to interact with each other.
I think someone on MTS checked it out and it’s really all about the amount of positive interactions. Wanna know the easiest way to have a successful party? Serve them dinner. Sims are taking forever in this game to eat, too and if you call everyone to meal, they’ll sit there and keep babbling forever. Even enemies have positive interactions when they dine together. Kicky bag is also pretty much a cheating device for a successful party, as long as your sims’ fun isn’t maxed out and you have enough space in the house. Hide the radio though, dancing doesn’t give relationship gain and sims would keep smustling and never interact with each other, just no.
@@carmenwinstead693 I once had a couple spend the entire time making out to save a huge bust up between some others early on in the party. I find that having everyone hang out is a good way to get the interactions up as well. It's also a good way to get a group of sims collectively befriend each other. Introduce different sims to others as well, and influence them to chat to each other.
God I miss memories so much, every time I stepped away from the game for a while, I'd come back and go through them to like remind myself of the storyline I've made - but on the sims 4 I end up starting a new family every time bc I dont remember/care about these people
Same! Storytelling used to be so fun! I also love how sims would remember stuff and even cry from time to time when remembering something sad. Sucks to see this feature gone in ts4
I have the same problem except these days I just haven't bothered making a new family either because that takes a lot of time too (enjoyable, arguably but still.) I keep telling myself I should go back to the Sims I vaguely recall enjoying, mostly the one or two I can kind of remember having a plan for, and then go "nah." And then I see youtubers doing a new scenario or remember a scenario that I was thinking about... and go "nah." lol I only play on Normal Lifespan and had the most fun doing proper rags to riches situations and some of the scenarios I have completed but then I just kind of fall off because yeah, I gotta convince myself there was something else to do. And there is, I absolutely haven't done everything in the game, the question is how fun is it going to really be to do that thing? Even with the scenarios it's more so "can I beat this youtuber's time?" or "no one has done this one yet and I kinda wanna do it." I think legacies like Not So Berry which are scripted or just general Rags to Riches where you have an obvious end goal might help the most but the thing is I get sucked in for hours at a time and then once I close the game it no longer has a grip on me. I used to play Sims 3 and Sims 2 for days at a time and now I'm playing Sims 4 for a day at best.
Yes I have to take tons of pictures and screenshots in Sims 3 and 4 so I can go through the timeline that way but I definitely prefer having a linear memory system like Sims 2 had.
How are you completely forgetting everything about your sims? I create new families like every time I play but that’s just because i get bored and can’t commit to one storyline. I always remember what I’m doing with the sims though. I still remember the sim I created when discover university came out who I played with for a couple months and everything I was planning on doing with her. I go like months in between playing and I still remember the sims I was last playing with and what I was planning on doing. Maybe I forget what I was doing at the exact time when I logged off but that only takes a minute to work out again.
@@rachelcookie321 I'm not OP but they said remember/care so my guess is 1) they played the fam for a day or two and came back months later, which probably isn't enough to remember if they don't open the save file, certainly not with any detail or 2) they played the fam for longer but can't generate any motivation to continue, IE boredom or couldn't commit to the storyline. This problem would be tenfold if they have very few packs or CC to differentiate them visually and mods to maintain gameplay interest. We've had some free stuff added in updates and sim express or whatever it's called (genuinely can't remember rn) but it hasn't been a lot overall if you're limited already.
I love that the dad adopted two dogs while you were at college! Also, if a final exam is "at midnight" in the US, that's usually only ever because the paper is due then and you have to turn it in. As far as I know, we don't have tests at 4am
Yeah, it's more like the way it's done in TS4 - the exam is at the usual time that the class is. Or at least that's how it was for me. It's been a while. Also, American uni life also involves a lot of drinking. I guess the Sims wanted to keep it family friendly?
I've had classes with separate exam times, one notably being at 9 PM on Wednesdays (in between the Tuesday and Thursday classes). The professor said they used to hold it on Fridays until they realized their students were showing up drunk to pregame for on-campus parties.

I love how the concept of "fun" in the sims franchise always teleports us back to TS2, i still think is the best game of the franchise in a lot of aspects(specially in his ultimate collection version), and even tho the "newer" sims games brought a lotta new and exciting stuff to the table, it won't change my opinion that TS2 is way more polished and fun because of it's little details and love put into it, that the other games lack of. I'm a huge fan of Sims 3 too, but with very different playstyles, and they have different quirks that I love. I played Sims 2 religiously all through middle and high school though so I have the most attachment and memories for Sims 2 (and 1 but it takes a very certain mood for me to really get into Sims 1.)
@@mjacwest cool 4 u, bro, i played it when i was little right after playing TS2, and i didn't liked it, i remember. The playstyle, design choices, and gameplay in general was too affected by those changes to be for my liking, also it felt lacking the charming of the previous game. And just by seeing people here on youtube playing the 4th game of this franchise i can see i will get bored, just with base game, in 2 full sim days, and that's saying something.
The final exam is after 72 hours, regardless of the time of day- it is certainly not what happens in America. What probably happened is you visited a college community lot, so the timer kept going, but when you returned it was the same time as you left so the exam schedule got messed up. An example will probably make more sense: If your exam is for 12 pm on Thursday, and you leave on Wednesday at 8 am to a community lot for 8 hours, you would return to your dorm at 8 am on Wednesday but your exam is now at 4 am on Thursday since that 8 hours at a community lot counts towards the 72 hour semester timer. I love the community time mod for this purpose, so if you go out for 8 hours, you return at 4 pm instead of 8 am.
Wait, so in the sims 2 of you leave your sims house for however amount of time, the time doesn’t change when you get back? You could be gone for a day but when you come back to the house it’s the same time you left at so it’s like you never left at all? That seems like a huge oversight because that is obviously not realistic since it’s literal time travel.
@@rachelcookie321 Sims 2 didn't have a system to control sims that were left at home so it just froze them in time. If it skipped forward in time, sims would have missed work/school and lost out on time to work on skills. There is a mod that works around it by keeping home lot "frozen" but when you return to home lot, your sim that left is still gone until time catches up, then they come home. So if they left for a day, you could still play with the rest of your family for the day while that sim was out. I think it's called Community Time or something, it;s been a while
@@rachelcookie321 The way Sims 2 did it is actually way better because if you are in a community lot and are having fun, you could lose track of time and by the time where you're set to leave for work your sim's needs could be so low that it would be bad to send them. But if when you return home it's the same time you left then you have time to do so much more stuff like taking care of your sim and even skill-building for your sim's job
@@rachelcookie321 It's more convenient. Cheats are also not realistic but they make the game more convenient and more fun. Like I don't wanna struggle to get my sim to get to work and then rush to get all of their need up while also trying to skill-build. That's too much work for a game that's supposed to be fun. Same way cheating money into your household funds, for example, isn't realistic but it's more fun to buy the things you like quicker rather than struggling
I would honestly love a sims 2 series where u try to “beat it”, not just exploring each pack. Like trying to survive, doing optional and tasks like getting into the secret society. Just making your sims live the most extra and fulfilling life
I never do any of the sims 4 university organizations or events or anything for this EXACT reason, i'm too busy trying to get my sim to be the perfect student
The fun thing about sims 2 uni is that there's more than one way to get good grades. I had a group of sims who established a Greek house, so they spent almost the entire time partying. They'd go to class, and build their skills, and to get the rest of their grades, they'd invite their professors over and party with them, maybe woohoo the profs, and get your pledges to do your assignments. The next group of sims who took over the house when the initial group graduated were relatively straight laced fortune and family sims. Less partying from them. Until for various reasons, I changed one to a pleasure sim, and he discovered he was no longer attracted to his family sim fiance, so I had to orchestrate this huge affair and vicious fight to be able to have the option to break up with her. Drama!

Feel this so much on all levels in game. Mood in the red? Not on my watch. Having fun and going out? No the grind must not stop. Like why do we strive for perfection in a game that lets us do anything else? Perfection is fun!
I used to play this game like that until I got better at it, at that point it’s extremely repetitive and starts getting boring. My first families in the current playthrough had their LTWs fulfilled (some of them had 2 LTWs fulfilled), LTAs maxed out, were just sh💩💩ting from happiness, their motives would drop extremely slowly due to aspiration benefits and it really was getting mundane. The last living sim I was pushing so much has 50+ friends, 2 LTWs fulfilled, is on the top of show business career, owns a rank 10 store and has around 300 000 in cash - and it’s a freaking Brandi Broke’s unborn baby, so it’s not like she started with anything. At that point you get a feeling like it’s all meaningless (even fires are not exciting once you learn that the environment motive is what makes them react to fire and if you make them run upstairs they just won’t react to it), so now I let my sims fail if they don’t roll wants that could make them succeed in life. Otherwise, I can’t keep playing essentially the same sim for the 75th time.

Regarding the midnight exam thing - in a vanilla game you have 72 hours per semester, plus two hours per final. So the timer starts again after each exam. Meaning your first semester’s exam will be at 8am but by the end of 8 semesters your exam will have gradually shifted back by two hours each time until the last one starts at 10pm. This is fixed by Cyjon’s Semester Changes mod (a must have for me!)
I was playing Sims 2 University last night and a woman living in my Sim's dorm had the same invisible thing happen to her that happened to your Sim's boyfriend. I thought she'd fucking died and come back as a ghost
As someone who attended American college it is also about drinking. I did have one final exam at midnight. I think it’s usually because final exams are all in one week so it’s hard to schedule a room big enough for people not to sit directly next to each other. The professor did bring us snacks though.
the US literally does not have any finals at midnight i swear 😭 at the very least, some classes might give you access to the final online all day long (i had three finals this spring semester that i had access to from 8 am to midnight) but none of the finals scheduled during the actual school day are at midnight 😭
I mean I did have a final for an 8 am class at 5 pm once, because it was a Tuesday-Thursday class and the 8 am slot was booked by the Monday-Wednesday class and APPARENTLY we couldn't just have the final on Tuesday or at literally any other time. Another time I had a 4 pm final in a building I had never been in because they combined all the units of the class together for one mega final. So like, I get what they're making fun of at least.
6:20 Usually your final exam in US universities is at the same time or time block as the class it’s for. So if you’re taking night classes the exams would be at night. But if you take day classes they would also be in the day, not at night. So I think the sims messed up or maybe it was purposefully done for more chaos lol

Jessie, the best cheat in sims 2 that I sincerely miss in sims 4 is that you could drag individual need bars up and down. If I remember correctly you just have to turn testing cheats on, then save and exit the lot then reenter. You should then be able to click on a need bar and set it where you want it. Same for friendship and romance meters. Just a tip to make fun play easier. Sometimes you want their hunger to go up but not their energy etc and vice versa, which is something i hate about the “make happy” cheat in 4.

I believe all the Traveller's baby would be visible once you put them on a lot, because the thumbnail reflects the family last time they were saved, and they can only be saved once they're actually placed in a hood.
In the Canadian universities I've attended, the exam periods are scheduled in the last 2-3 weeks of the term, and sometimes you can get unlucky and get scheduled for an evening exam. My latest I've had was at 8:00-11:00pm, and it was HORRIBLE. Everybody was exhausted!
Plumbella, you really really really need to check out Feverfew for the sims 2 by Criquette. Being British and all. It’s a town made to look just like a little rural English town and it is absolutely stunning and amazing and I would LOVE to see you react to it.

I've never had an exam that late (and I don't go to school in the US), but I did have one in the evening before - it was around 7 pm, and during winter at a commuter school. There was a snowstorm the night of my exam, but it didn't get cancelled - I take public transit to school, and I almost fell over several times walking to the bus stop. It wasn't a fun time, but I did well on the exam, so at least that part went well.

I understand that. I’m like that when I take photos of food and go to restaurants since I’m a vegan food blogger and I absolutely love it and love making content but it can be a bit much depending on certain deadlines or making sure everything looks right

American here, my finals in university were at different times than the classes were. They staggered them to make sure that online classes had access to rooms and that jazz. I’ve had night classes with day finals and vice versa and I’ve had online classes with random in person finals times
Yes in America we have a whole finals week. Idk how it works in other places but each final is at a certain time like if your class is on MWF between 8 and 10 am then your final is this day at this time.
This was so much fun to watch! I love watching simmers just having fun and playing the game :) BTW, you can steal the furniture from University, you just have to put it in you Sim's inventory. I don't know how you can play with story progression o.o It literally stresses me out so much to have my sims do things when I'm not there. I have to play all the households for the same number of days and in a certain order to keep them all on track without letting anyone do anything without me, lol. Then again, my mom liked to say that I play the sims so I can play God, so *shrug*
when i was recently playing sims 2 uni for my self-sim (jesse inspired me with this video to do so!), it was the most chaotic smelly time of my sims life, but that chaos was lotta fun. oh except the fact that like three students in her cruddy cramped dormitory -that i chose b/c it was right next to the library which she only got to visit once b/c she was constantly on the cusp of losing her spot in the dean's list and becoming a hysterical red plumbob mess- died from hunger after passing out from sleep exhaustion during her education at la fiesta techa, and one guy was 1 of the 4 friends she made there- i guess it was fun for me but defo not for her ^^' well it was definitely portrayed the painful university student experience lmao do play with mods to make assignments quicker, because things will constantly be getting messy and broken, food supplies will run low, and probably at least one dormmate will die on campus ^^' and pick a nicer dorm too
Yeah I've had finals at around 10pm before. Its shit. It happens quite a bit if you've only got one college anywhere nearby. You end up in late classes or needing to use occupied lab space at odd hours.
Can confirm that college exams can be in the morning. My college had exams throughout the entire day (some started at 8:30am), and some even had Saturday exams. Depends on what block/time slot the class gets

I'd love to see a band playthrough or a magician/acrobat/singer playthrough! Also, slowing down the clock with NRAAS relativity mod oftwn helps with late bandmates if you're into mods. Sometimes I just teleport them in or invite all the sims over beforehand though :P
I miss playing TS2! I have almost every expansion pack, but nothing to play it on. It shows up on my Origin, but of course you can't download it from there. TS2 is the Sims game I played most often. I have many of the converted items in TS4, from every floor and wallpaper to the kid/teen furniture from the Family Fun Stuff pack. Now if someone would convert the inflatable furniture from the first game!
TS2 university was a lot of fun, but was nothing like US universities. At least it was nothing like my uni experience. All our finals were during the daytime (even for the labs I had from 7-10pm.) From speaking to people who did a year at uni (like Oxford in England), they said it was very much like "normal."
Usually, our exams are at the time of the class unless we have to go and take it at the testing center, which I think we are allowed to schedule times there. I go to community college, so that may be different.
My finals were definitely at wildly different times than my class but only by a matter of hours. Never at night lol I had an 8am final for an 11:20am class. That was rough.
@7:17 So my boyfriend went to college in the US. During his finals week, he didn't have class but he had a one exam for finals. It was at 5pm on Friday, THE LAST DAY, of finals week. So he had to stay the entire week in his quiet and empty dorm, for his one exam. I felt so bad for the guy, especially because his roommates moved out earlier that week :(

I love how the concept of "fun" in the sims franchise always teleports us back to TS2, i still think is the best game of the franchise in a lot of aspects(specially in his ultimate collection version), and even tho the "newer" sims games brought a lotta new and exciting stuff to the table, it won't change my opinion that TS2 is way more polished and fun because of it's little details and love put into it, that the other games lack of.

I'm a huge fan of Sims 3 too, but with very different playstyles, and they have different quirks that I love. I played Sims 2 religiously all through middle and high school though so I have the most attachment and memories for Sims 2 (and 1 but it takes a very certain mood for me to really get into Sims 1.)

The playstyle, design choices, and gameplay in general was too affected by those changes to be for my liking, also it felt lacking the charming of the previous game.
And just by seeing people here on youtube playing the 4th game of this franchise i can see i will get bored, just with base game, in 2 full sim days, and that's saying something.

The final exam is after 72 hours, regardless of the time of day- it is certainly not what happens in America. What probably happened is you visited a college community lot, so the timer kept going, but when you returned it was the same time as you left so the exam schedule got messed up.
An example will probably make more sense: If your exam is for 12 pm on Thursday, and you leave on Wednesday at 8 am to a community lot for 8 hours, you would return to your dorm at 8 am on Wednesday but your exam is now at 4 am on Thursday since that 8 hours at a community lot counts towards the 72 hour semester timer.
I love the community time mod for this purpose, so if you go out for 8 hours, you return at 4 pm instead of 8 am.
Wait, so in the sims 2 of you leave your sims house for however amount of time, the time doesn’t change when you get back? You could be gone for a day but when you come back to the house it’s the same time you left at so it’s like you never left at all? That seems like a huge oversight because that is obviously not realistic since it’s literal time travel.
@@rachelcookie321 Sims 2 didn't have a system to control sims that were left at home so it just froze them in time. If it skipped forward in time, sims would have missed work/school and lost out on time to work on skills. There is a mod that works around it by keeping home lot "frozen" but when you return to home lot, your sim that left is still gone until time catches up, then they come home. So if they left for a day, you could still play with the rest of your family for the day while that sim was out. I think it's called Community Time or something, it;s been a while
@@rachelcookie321 The way Sims 2 did it is actually way better because if you are in a community lot and are having fun, you could lose track of time and by the time where you're set to leave for work your sim's needs could be so low that it would be bad to send them. But if when you return home it's the same time you left then you have time to do so much more stuff like taking care of your sim and even skill-building for your sim's job

@@rachelcookie321 It's more convenient. Cheats are also not realistic but they make the game more convenient and more fun. Like I don't wanna struggle to get my sim to get to work and then rush to get all of their need up while also trying to skill-build. That's too much work for a game that's supposed to be fun. Same way cheating money into your household funds, for example, isn't realistic but it's more fun to buy the things you like quicker rather than struggling
I would honestly love a sims 2 series where u try to “beat it”, not just exploring each pack. Like trying to survive, doing optional and tasks like getting into the secret society. Just making your sims live the most extra and fulfilling life

The fun thing about sims 2 uni is that there's more than one way to get good grades. I had a group of sims who established a Greek house, so they spent almost the entire time partying. They'd go to class, and build their skills, and to get the rest of their grades, they'd invite their professors over and party with them, maybe woohoo the profs, and get your pledges to do your assignments. The next group of sims who took over the house when the initial group graduated were relatively straight laced fortune and family sims. Less partying from them. Until for various reasons, I changed one to a pleasure sim, and he discovered he was no longer attracted to his family sim fiance, so I had to orchestrate this huge affair and vicious fight to be able to have the option to break up with her. Drama!

Feel this so much on all levels in game. Mood in the red? Not on my watch. Having fun and going out? No the grind must not stop. Like why do we strive for perfection in a game that lets us do anything else? Perfection is fun!
It's how I would like to be in real life, productive, consistent, hard-working so my Sim has to do it all so I can have a career through her :')
I used to play this game like that until I got better at it, at that point it’s extremely repetitive and starts getting boring. My first families in the current playthrough had their LTWs fulfilled (some of them had 2 LTWs fulfilled), LTAs maxed out, were just sh💩💩ting from happiness, their motives would drop extremely slowly due to aspiration benefits and it really was getting mundane. The last living sim I was pushing so much has 50+ friends, 2 LTWs fulfilled, is on the top of show business career, owns a rank 10 store and has around 300 000 in cash - and it’s a freaking Brandi Broke’s unborn baby, so it’s not like she started with anything.
At that point you get a feeling like it’s all meaningless (even fires are not exciting once you learn that the environment motive is what makes them react to fire and if you make them run upstairs they just won’t react to it), so now I let my sims fail if they don’t roll wants that could make them succeed in life. Otherwise, I can’t keep playing essentially the same sim for the 75th time.

I NEED to provide the absolute best for them and I always had. Some times, I wish I could do it though

Regarding the midnight exam thing - in a vanilla game you have 72 hours per semester, plus two hours per final. So the timer starts again after each exam. Meaning your first semester’s exam will be at 8am but by the end of 8 semesters your exam will have gradually shifted back by two hours each time until the last one starts at 10pm. This is fixed by Cyjon’s Semester Changes mod (a must have for me!)
I was playing Sims 2 University last night and a woman living in my Sim's dorm had the same invisible thing happen to her that happened to your Sim's boyfriend. I thought she'd fucking died and come back as a ghost
I think it happens if they get stopped when they're in the midde of going into their dorm room, since they turn invisible in their rooms.
As someone who attended American college it is also about drinking. I did have one final exam at midnight. I think it’s usually because final exams are all in one week so it’s hard to schedule a room big enough for people not to sit directly next to each other. The professor did bring us snacks though.
the US literally does not have any finals at midnight i swear 😭 at the very least, some classes might give you access to the final online all day long (i had three finals this spring semester that i had access to from 8 am to midnight) but none of the finals scheduled during the actual school day are at midnight 😭
I mean I did have a final for an 8 am class at 5 pm once, because it was a Tuesday-Thursday class and the 8 am slot was booked by the Monday-Wednesday class and APPARENTLY we couldn't just have the final on Tuesday or at literally any other time. Another time I had a 4 pm final in a building I had never been in because they combined all the units of the class together for one mega final. So like, I get what they're making fun of at least.

6:20 Usually your final exam in US universities is at the same time or time block as the class it’s for. So if you’re taking night classes the exams would be at night. But if you take day classes they would also be in the day, not at night. So I think the sims messed up or maybe it was purposefully done for more chaos lol

Jessie, the best cheat in sims 2 that I sincerely miss in sims 4 is that you could drag individual need bars up and down. If I remember correctly you just have to turn testing cheats on, then save and exit the lot then reenter. You should then be able to click on a need bar and set it where you want it. Same for friendship and romance meters. Just a tip to make fun play easier. Sometimes you want their hunger to go up but not their energy etc and vice versa, which is something i hate about the “make happy” cheat in 4.
if you play TS4 the computer you can get the UI Cheats mod allows you do change them individually!

I believe all the Traveller's baby would be visible once you put them on a lot, because the thumbnail reflects the family last time they were saved, and they can only be saved once they're actually placed in a hood.
In the Canadian universities I've attended, the exam periods are scheduled in the last 2-3 weeks of the term, and sometimes you can get unlucky and get scheduled for an evening exam. My latest I've had was at 8:00-11:00pm, and it was HORRIBLE. Everybody was exhausted!
Plumbella, you really really really need to check out Feverfew for the sims 2 by Criquette. Being British and all. It’s a town made to look just like a little rural English town and it is absolutely stunning and amazing and I would LOVE to see you react to it.

I've never had an exam that late (and I don't go to school in the US), but I did have one in the evening before - it was around 7 pm, and during winter at a commuter school. There was a snowstorm the night of my exam, but it didn't get cancelled - I take public transit to school, and I almost fell over several times walking to the bus stop. It wasn't a fun time, but I did well on the exam, so at least that part went well.

I understand that. I’m like that when I take photos of food and go to restaurants since I’m a vegan food blogger and I absolutely love it and love making content but it can be a bit much depending on certain deadlines or making sure everything looks right

American here, my finals in university were at different times than the classes were. They staggered them to make sure that online classes had access to rooms and that jazz. I’ve had night classes with day finals and vice versa and I’ve had online classes with random in person finals times

Yes in America we have a whole finals week. Idk how it works in other places but each final is at a certain time like if your class is on MWF between 8 and 10 am then your final is this day at this time.

I don't know how you can play with story progression o.o It literally stresses me out so much to have my sims do things when I'm not there. I have to play all the households for the same number of days and in a certain order to keep them all on track without letting anyone do anything without me, lol. Then again, my mom liked to say that I play the sims so I can play God, so *shrug*

In-person finals are whenever the class is usually. I’ve had them any time between 8am to 7pm lol
when i was recently playing sims 2 uni for my self-sim (jesse inspired me with this video to do so!), it was the most chaotic smelly time of my sims life, but that chaos was lotta fun. oh except the fact that like three students in her cruddy cramped dormitory -that i chose b/c it was right next to the library which she only got to visit once b/c she was constantly on the cusp of losing her spot in the dean's list and becoming a hysterical red plumbob mess- died from hunger after passing out from sleep exhaustion during her education at la fiesta techa, and one guy was 1 of the 4 friends she made there- i guess it was fun for me but defo not for her ^^' well it was definitely portrayed the painful university student experience lmao do play with mods to make assignments quicker, because things will constantly be getting messy and broken, food supplies will run low, and probably at least one dormmate will die on campus ^^' and pick a nicer dorm too

Yeah I've had finals at around 10pm before. Its shit. It happens quite a bit if you've only got one college anywhere nearby. You end up in late classes or needing to use occupied lab space at odd hours.

Can confirm that college exams can be in the morning. My college had exams throughout the entire day (some started at 8:30am), and some even had Saturday exams. Depends on what block/time slot the class gets
Remember forming a band and having gigs in Sims 3? Why isn’t that a thing anymore? Would love to see you start a band and have gigs. Every time I played I was lucky if all the other bands members showed up before the gig was over.
I'd love to see a band playthrough or a magician/acrobat/singer playthrough! Also, slowing down the clock with NRAAS relativity mod oftwn helps with late bandmates if you're into mods. Sometimes I just teleport them in or invite all the sims over beforehand though :P
I miss playing TS2! I have almost every expansion pack, but nothing to play it on. It shows up on my Origin, but of course you can't download it from there. TS2 is the Sims game I played most often. I have many of the converted items in TS4, from every floor and wallpaper to the kid/teen furniture from the Family Fun Stuff pack. Now if someone would convert the inflatable furniture from the first game!

TS2 university was a lot of fun, but was nothing like US universities. At least it was nothing like my uni experience. All our finals were during the daytime (even for the labs I had from 7-10pm.) From speaking to people who did a year at uni (like Oxford in England), they said it was very much like "normal."
I’ve had exams at 9PM-11PM. They were the WORST. I didn’t live in the dorms either, so I had to drive in at night for them!
Usually, our exams are at the time of the class unless we have to go and take it at the testing center, which I think we are allowed to schedule times there. I go to community college, so that may be different.

@7:17 So my boyfriend went to college in the US. During his finals week, he didn't have class but he had a one exam for finals. It was at 5pm on Friday, THE LAST DAY, of finals week. So he had to stay the entire week in his quiet and empty dorm, for his one exam. I felt so bad for the guy, especially because his roommates moved out earlier that week :(
