Remember how in the Sims 2 if all the adults left to work and the kids came home alone they would just be taken away. Used to traumatize me when I forgot to call a Nanny!
Sims 2 does care about the kids a lot, you can't even adopt a new child after the social worker takes the first one away. I think that's also true for the sims 3, but only for a couple of days/weeks.
I remember playing the sims 1, getting bored if my family and deciding to play the Goth household, only to find Mortimer and Bella dead, and Cassandra living off ordering pizzas to the house. I guess that means they don't take away kids when there's no living adults anymore lol
In the Sims 1 you could even create a household with only children! And if you have a servo robot he can cook and clean for them :P I did that a couple of times but one time a child Sim got stuck on the pool ladder and was taken away to military school :/ 😅
“I wanna show you the nightmare that was having a baby in The Sims 1” Bestie, I was there! 😅 Never forget the screaming bassinet baby from Sims 1, or the social worker that snaps ‘em up.
I love how in the Sims 1, if you neglect school - you bad parent, we are taking your child away! but if the parents die, the child is left alone to die of hunger 🙄
I dont think Ive ever had a kid taken away in any of the the sims games Ive played. I feel bad if the kids aren't being taken care of, so I try and have all their needs in the green as possible. xD
I've tried, but back in the Sims 1 it was a real challenge. By the time your sim gets out of bed and done their complaining the baby could already get taken away!
Throwback to when my mom told me, "you would not make a good parent" because in my very first sims 3 game, I stuck my sim's baby on the floor, and then didn't know how to take care of it, so it got taken away lmao
I'd be curious to see this experiment again, but letting the kids go to school and use a fridge (and bathroom) for themselves, maybe set a time limit of 7 game days, just to see how self-sufficient kids are in each game. Also, without letting the adult die in TS2 lmao
Tbh I'm more invested in how quickly the parents lose their kids without intervention from the player, simply by how much autonomy encourages the parents to bother looking after their kids or not. Coz most of these games don't know how to get the parents to serve their kid a meal or change them or help their kid study or even keep themselves alive lol.
Oh good old Sims 1. I've build a room with everyhing my female sim needed and then I put her and the kid in that room and hoped I would be fast enough to not get the child taken away. It was awefully stressful for a seven or eight year old :D
I did the same thing! 😂 Me and a friend would make our Sims a small apartment where everything essential is close by and just hope that we would manage to keep the baby alive long enough for it to grow up into a child 😅
Personally I really like(?) that only the neglected child gets taken away in sims 4 because sometimes there’s just one you don’t like but the rest is fine ☕️
once i wanted a baby playing sims 2 but got twins. i just put one of them outside and was shocked when they took both of them..😭 i completely forgot they dont take just the one
Plus it fits with real life in a lot of places. Not here because my state just leaves neglected kids right where they are because they suck, but you know places that do
Dang, when you put the sound clips of sims 1, it hit different. So nostalgic playing this on a sunny day, where friends would be playing outside, and I'd be inside trying not to let my sims family die.
My favorite Sims 2 memory is when I had a child taken away from one Sim, only to have another unknowingly adopt the child. I didn't even know the game DID that.
Of all the things to be bothered about - the thing that bothers me the most about Sims 4 is what happens to children, toddlers, and pets when the last eligible caretaker in the household dies (you must have a teen or older sim in a household to care for pets, kids, and toddlers). The game really just deletes them. So to conclusively test this, I had a granny caring for toddler grandson and a dog - the mom was young adult and temporarily in another household. I killed the granny in a fire. The game gives the “game over” screen saying toddler and dog have been whisked away to safety. I say continue in another household as the mom - I check all the adoption menus for 2 sim weeks. No kid. No dog. In sims 2 (& 3) if I kid gets taken away, they are in the adoption menu - a loving family member can take them in. So much better then just deleting them.
One time I had a sim whos sister I wasn't playing, she was an elder sim and right before she died she adopted a baby boy. i was in the market for a child for the sim i was playing, so i tried to see if i could adopt my sister's kid, but he was gone. He was still on the family tree, though, he just didn't exist anywhere else? RIP Augustus, poor kid couldn't catch a break.
Saw this and started making excited noises as I opened a new tab to watch and my partner just something about how it was so typical to "hear you start yelling excitedly followed the classic 'Hey Hens!!'"
i remember when playing the sims 4 my sister went on my laptop and got my sim pregnant with quadruplets and i was so mad that i trapped 3 of the children in a room with nothing so that they would die
@@silyknow They could have a mod that allows for quadruplets, but just didn't want any right now lmao. The sister prolly just tried for baby with the on lay line trait on and what happened happened.
I love how in the Sims 4 they're just chilling, hanging out, can't reach food but otherwise are fending for themselves and then in 2 and 3 Jesse just locks them in an empty room 😂
I hope this wasn't too stressful for you. It's really entertaining to see you play up the bad parenting and trying so hard to act the part, when all the while it's blatantly apparent how much you love kids and are very aware of how to care for them well. You're wonderful. 💕
in the sims 1 I wanted to spend more time doing everything possible in the game but it took so much time to keep the sim happy so I downloaded a cc picture that made the needs filled up when you watched it. I became completely addicted to that image and could almost not play without it in the end..
In Sims3 I was always terrified of the babies being taken away because it was so hard to improve their mood and so easy to make them miserable - someone in the family dies, then someone steals their candy and they are left as little bundles of misery only to be minimally cheered up by the stereo.
Sims 2 was a real struggle for me when I was a kid, I would always go crazy and have at least 10 kids so then eventually I would get some taken away then obviously have more to replace until they get taken too, the cycle continued until death
In the Sims 2, if you let kids play out in the snow too long they freeze, then all your kids get taken away immediately. Learned that one the hard way …
Awee that sims 4 house reminded me of my childhood. The "responsible" adult in their room all day while the kids fend for themselves. It taking forever for social services to intervene.. down to them taking only one kid but leaving the others :D quite accurate I'd say!
For next time, try to see how fast you can get married or wohoo in all games! A few months back I did it on Sims 2 and 4 and the difference was massive (like, more than a sim week on 2, and a day on 4). It'd be lovely to see how it differs in 1 and 3 as well.
The Sims busting out was so hard but had alot of stuff in it. My fave thing was I would just play as kids and see how long I could survive before the kids got sent to military school. Had them doing homework and painting. They can sell their painting and order pizza

I remember when I had just started seeing someone and one of my kids got taken away in the sims 4. There was a lot of confusion when I texted “THEY TOOK MY CHILD! SOCIAL SERVICES TOOK ONE OF MY TWINS 😭😭” without having mentioned that I was, in fact, playing a game
Funniest thing I had in sims 2 was when my kids got taken away bc my sim went to work and they were alone. Then when i adopted a kid later with the same sim, it was one of the kids taken away 😂
Seeing you play this reminds me of why I almost never did gameplay in the sims 1, I’d just make sims, build their house, get overwhelmed, and either max their needs /use that cc rejuvenator shower thing or bail LMAO
I remember my favourite Sims 3 family back in the day and my kid got taken away and I was so devastated, I shut the computer off so quick my dad thought I broke it.

I remember my first family on The Sims 2. I wanted them to get into private school so bad I kept calling the principal over and didn't understand why they didn't say yes. While trying to impress him, I forgot to feed my child and she got taken away, never to be seen again
there was one time in the sims 3 when i was like 12 where i made a family of 2 evil sims who were like foster parents and 6 toddlers, and i just stuck the toddlers in high chairs in a basement and locked the door to see if the social worker could still get them
This gives me flashbacks to when I was little and got sick of my Sims 1 baby so I just left it outside until the social worker showed up. Felt like forever getting rid of the thing😂
When I was younger (maybe like 8 or 9) I thought I played the Sims 3 on my iPad but I realised while watching this video that I actually used to play the Sims 2. This is something I've been wondering for a while cause I play the Sims 3 a lot now (started earlier this year but had the Sims 4 for ages before that) and thought it didn't look how I remembered but watching this video with the Sims 2 part made me realise that's because it was a different game !! @@CDScarber You thought you were the only one who noticed? The camera literally zoomed in and Jessie read the message out loud, bestie. We all "noticed"
@@shawn.spencer i think they might have meant noticing the contradiction between jessie's statement and the notification
I'm surprised the kids didn't get taken away as soon as you load up the sims 1
you’ve been playing sims since 2000? next you’ll be telling us you’ve got a masters xo
This should be pinned
😂😂😂
She has a master's? Eeeehh she never mentions that!! Hahaha xx

Remember how in the Sims 2 if all the adults left to work and the kids came home alone they would just be taken away. Used to traumatize me when I forgot to call a Nanny!
Sims 1
Sim: gives birth
1 minute later: baby gets taken away
“I wanna show you the nightmare that was having a baby in The Sims 1”
Bestie, I was there! 😅 Never forget the screaming bassinet baby from Sims 1, or the social worker that snaps ‘em up.
I used to have the mother and a third sim (usually the grandma) be on shift work to make sure those freaking babies weren’t taken from me 😂
i have to kill social worker for stop trying to take my baby. i even put a gate around them and die lol
I love how in the Sims 1, if you neglect school - you bad parent, we are taking your child away! but if the parents die, the child is left alone to die of hunger 🙄
The dad dying in sims 2 before they took the kids away? iconic, love to see neglectful parents get a taste of their own medicine
I dont think Ive ever had a kid taken away in any of the the sims games Ive played. I feel bad if the kids aren't being taken care of, so I try and have all their needs in the green as possible. xD
Same, I love torturing adults but I take such good care of babies and toddlers!
It's much easier in the early games where they even take them for having bad grades
I've tried, but back in the Sims 1 it was a real challenge. By the time your sim gets out of bed and done their complaining the baby could already get taken away!
Throwback to when my mom told me, "you would not make a good parent" because in my very first sims 3 game, I stuck my sim's baby on the floor, and then didn't know how to take care of it, so it got taken away lmao
jesse swinging a crucifix around as emphasis is the highlight of my year
I'd be curious to see this experiment again, but letting the kids go to school and use a fridge (and bathroom) for themselves, maybe set a time limit of 7 game days, just to see how self-sufficient kids are in each game.
My toddler got taken away at his birthday party literally seconds before I was going to get it to blow out the candles last week 🤦♀️
Playing CallMeKevin up on his own game. A queen. 👑
Jim probably adopted some of those kids. They're painting slaves being watched over by Santas now.
pls they need to collab
maybe they are with the mole people now

LMAOOO
Hahahaha!
once i wanted a baby playing sims 2 but got twins. i just put one of them outside and was shocked when they took both of them..😭 i completely forgot they dont take just the one
Plus it fits with real life in a lot of places. Not here because my state just leaves neglected kids right where they are because they suck, but you know places that do
That's so callous... I love it
Please do more of these comparison videos. It's a great nostalgia kick, as well as a laugh :D
So we finally found out: Jesse is Janine's villain origin.
FGG tried her best to hide it, but the truth came out eventually
My thoughts exactly😌
Fr tho
Watching this video has already changed my recommendations to stuff like “Effect of emotional deprivation and neglect on babies.” 😭
the chaos. the tension. THE PLUMBELLA VIDEO.
If you can get mods there is an option in Mc Command Center for letting children get adopted by others and not just deleted.
Without cheats or mods it’s impossible to have quadruplets
@@silyknow Wouldn’t surprise me if the sister did it for sh*tz and giggles
@@silyknow They could have a mod that allows for quadruplets, but just didn't want any right now lmao. The sister prolly just tried for baby with the on lay line trait on and what happened happened.
I love the all caps SUFFERING baby. Also the sims 1 baby crying noises sound like they were recorded by a drunk teen and his mum lol
I love how in the Sims 4 they're just chilling, hanging out, can't reach food but otherwise are fending for themselves and then in 2 and 3 Jesse just locks them in an empty room 😂
i need a playlist of all of jessie’s ~experiments~ lmao
“He’s f’ing crazy, but he’s free.”
I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time thank you😂
I hope this wasn't too stressful for you. It's really entertaining to see you play up the bad parenting and trying so hard to act the part, when all the while it's blatantly apparent how much you love kids and are very aware of how to care for them well. You're wonderful. 💕
Jesse: “We’ve got the mom, Janine”
Me, a FakeGamerGirl watcher: *oh no*
in the sims 1 I wanted to spend more time doing everything possible in the game but it took so much time to keep the sim happy so I downloaded a cc picture that made the needs filled up when you watched it. I became completely addicted to that image and could almost not play without it in the end..
In Sims3 I was always terrified of the babies being taken away because it was so hard to improve their mood and so easy to make them miserable - someone in the family dies, then someone steals their candy and they are left as little bundles of misery only to be minimally cheered up by the stereo.
maybe an interesting idea could be how long would it take you to break up a married couple in each game (by having a homewrecker sim)
That crying baby sound in the Sims 1 is so cursed. It sounds like they're slowly suffocating to death.
When I would play the sims 1 I would have a schedule written out so that everyone would be taken care of on time 😂😂😂
Sims 2 was a real struggle for me when I was a kid, I would always go crazy and have at least 10 kids so then eventually I would get some taken away then obviously have more to replace until they get taken too, the cycle continued until death
Jessie is doing the lord’s work by checking how soon the Sims’ Child Protective Services will intervene to protect the children. Truly.
Brilliant!!!
Also love the fact that we got just 2 days in The Sims 2 and we managed got the bin kicked over - absolute classic memories!!! 👌
The Sims busting out was so hard but had alot of stuff in it. My fave thing was I would just play as kids and see how long I could survive before the kids got sent to military school. Had them doing homework and painting. They can sell their painting and order pizza
I'm having a horrible mental health week and uni is destroying me. This video brought me so much comfort and relief even though it was just for a moment I appreciate it so much. Thank you.
the sudden "he's just shat" made me laugh WAY harder than it should've
They should totally do a "classic" mode for the next Sims game (or a huge patch for 4" where you get the quirky stuff of Sims 1 like the clown, burglars and prank calls
I just wanted to say thank you for all your content and joy, my cat has just passed away and your videos have got me through it by making me laugh when I needed it most. Thank you
This effectively made me want to play the whole sim series again, are we alright in the head?
I love these comparison style videos! Love you Jesse!
Your videos give me so much joy - I’m always so happy to see an upload ! Thank you for making such great content for my adhd anxiety filled depressed brain 🙏🏼😭
Lol same though. She do be a saving grace
Honestly, same. Plumbella is literally getting me through college 😂
Off topic but my favorite thing about the Sims 1 is the every bit of text is in Comic Sans
it's so funny for no reason
"fate is a cruel master and i am fate" has such raw power
I remember my first family on The Sims 2. I wanted them to get into private school so bad I kept calling the principal over and didn't understand why they didn't say yes. While trying to impress him, I forgot to feed my child and she got taken away, never to be seen again
The difference between undiagnosed psychopaths and diagnosed psychopaths is one group play the sims
there was one time in the sims 3 when i was like 12 where i made a family of 2 evil sims who were like foster parents and 6 toddlers, and i just stuck the toddlers in high chairs in a basement and locked the door to see if the social worker could still get them
this made me remember how stressful and difficult the sims 1 was. Like I was a child and I played this for *hours* a day for fun.
Sims 1 is like my childhood, we didn't have food and my parents beat me up because of my terrible grades
"and how are you guys doing? not good. good to hear" 💀
I’m done 🤣😂 I was watching Vixella’s stream of Sims 2 and Mortimer kept adopting cats. And now here too lol Sir are you okay?
I've just been periodically bursting into laughter every time I think of "the neglect family"
Loving how Sims 1 had the audacity, the nerve, the gall, and the gumption to blame the child for being neglected
PLEASEEEE the HE NEED SOME MILK ended me😭😭 I feel like very few ppl know that reference
This gives me flashbacks to when I was little and got sick of my Sims 1 baby so I just left it outside until the social worker showed up. Felt like forever getting rid of the thing😂
I feel like I'm going to end up on a watchlist for watching this video.
This is the kind of chaos I need in my life today
‘Are ya feelin neglected…. punk?’ Jessie we are two minutes in, how do you already have a golden merch phrase 😭❤️
I legitimately pissed my pants at the slow zoom to Cassandra while watching you stare at her in disbelief
Anyway, great video !!
i havent seen Plumbella in a long time... glad to see not much as changed! what a joy
