I used to care about uncertified but i truly only care about certified because my goal is to be able to max out my subs with zero clipping. Clipping burns subs up instantly and when your efficiency goes into the toilet 85% is good 64% can hurt you depending on how big your battery is, but the most important thing is to USE YOUR CLIPPING INDICATORS RELIGIOUSLY. Such a small cheap step can save your setup and let you demo full songs instead of clipping stinking up your subs and blowing subs and worse ..amps!!
You make some valid points, but clipping definitely does not instantly burn up a sub. Most clip indicators come on/flicker at between 0.5% and 1% which means if the clip light starts flickering you can still play it, no problem. You can play it with the clip light solid for a brief amount of time because you will be putting a lot of heat into the sub. People do this all the time in burp competitions. Since the limitation is thermal related, how long you can play with a fully clipped signal is going to depend on how hot the subs are from the beginning. Also, some subwoofers are a lot more beefier and can handle more temperature than other subs. So there's a lot of variables involved.
@@JasonWW2000 what i mean is if you're not using a clipping indicator its incredibly easy to go into hard clipping which in my experience stinks up subs within 30 seconds, when i finally figured out how to keep the power clean i was able to demo for half an hour at a time, yes you can let the light flicker but i still dont fully recommend it i recommend to people to be responsible and upgrade voltage, drop ohm loads, add amps, add subs to achieve your goals. Why testing at 15.5V? Is this the normal voltage for today's vehicles? Because none of my cars and jeeps go more than 13.7V. I think if I changed my voltage regulator to 15.5v it might damage the electrical systems..... I would love to see these tests at like 13.5v, to see what the amp draw is then. At 15.5v the amp draw is super impressively low.....
These amps are not made for a traditional electrical set up. If your voltage is that low something like a taramps md line or sundown salt line would be something to look at
Exactly, for a amplifier this powerful you need to run it on a large bank of lithium. Face Kicker could probably test it at a lower voltage, but I don't think he has a power bank that runs at such a low voltage. Most people runnig this amp is probably going to be running lithium ion cells around 16v . Something like a C-Max battery. For your automobile you'd probably need a large bank of lithium iron phosphate which max out at 14.6v but can be safely ran at around 14v. That would allow you to play this amplifier full tilt for a few minutes at least, but you still need to upgrade your alternator to provide additional charging current.
I like your vids so much more than BigD, he is so annoying using the same cutaway gags 5yrs straight plus if you watch in pretty much every vid, he calculates efficiency incorrectly, at least you know how to do basic math.

According to bigD's vids on the jp93 your amp dynowill go to over 25,000 watts.
Why the 8500.1 clamped higher than the 10k? 😮
Bro that was what I was thinking
Similar board as Surge audio
The 8.5 dynamic on 1ohm beat it almost by 1000 Watts
My understanding is that one is built and intended for sub ohm use exclusively, the other isn't.
On the 8500 he was at 15.8v dropped to 15.3 on the 10k his voltage was at 15.4 and dropped to 14.9... idk maybe if he charged higher 🤷🏾♂️
I was thinking 15k burst @ .5 but 19.5k 🤯
I would like to see a DC Audio 9k
I'd like to strike gold in Omaha.
So what's price of something that great.
