The song is definitely called This Fire Burns. Killswitch Engage does have a song called My Curse, but I've never seen Punk come out to it.
He used it once in ROH. Literally ONCE.
In the eyes of the law, CM stands for "Chick Magnet" Punk testified in court that's what it stood for when he was asked about it during the WWE Doctor Defamation lawsuit. It goes back to his indy wrestling days. He had a tag team with another guy, they were "The Chick Magnets" Phil Brooks was Chick Magnet Punk (shortened to CM Punk) and the other guy was Chick Magnet Venom (shortened to CM Venom)

7:14 My Curse and This Fire are 2 different Killswitch Engage songs from the same 2006 album. My Curse was on the As Daylight Dies album proper and This Fire was included as a Special Edition bonus track.
So he used This Fire and not the other, right?

Okay, few things:
1: I don’t know where they got My Curse from, because it’s not close to This Fire Burns.
2: ROH just started the HOF (I think around when TK bought them). They inducted The Briscoes first
Well My Curse comes from Killswitch Engage, the band who did This Fire.
He used My Curse only once and it was in ROH.

8:22 yeah, the inaugural ROH HoF class was Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Samoa Joe and The Briscoes were the Tag Team inductees. Basically the major RoH 2000s wrestlers that weren't under WWE contract at the time.
Also helps that all of those guys were under contract with ROH(AEW) at the time. Not as much to do with them not being in WWE. Otherwise they could add Christopher Daniels or Austin Aries. The next HoF Class will be more interesting. Should see Nigel, Steen, Generico, Strong… a lot of current WWE options that BELONG there. Instead it’ll probably be Lethal, Claudio, Adam Cole. etc… simply because they were great ROH wrestlers but also under the AEW umbrella.
There were 3 other members of SES. Luke Gallows, Serena Deeb and Joseph Mercury. So yeah Dante was also right. One day we will get a quiz with no botches...

Interesting note about This Fire Burns. Randy Orton used it once, for a random Smackdown, before it became CM Punk's theme song. As someone who was a Killswitch fan prior, that is part of what sold me on Punk when he first debuted.
Chicago Made Punk sounds perfect, and describes his in ring character so well ("Punk" in a good way).
Dante is right that Joey Mercury was part of the group for a little while. He wasn't the og members like with Serena and Gallows but he was still a member
"My Curse" is a totally different (and also good) Killswitch Engage song, unless he used it once at a PPV or something I don't think it was ever his theme. It was "This Fire Burns"... glad they gave themselves the point for that lol

Yeah, Joey Mercury started in the SES with a mask but got unmasked by the Big Show just like Punk did too when he wore a mask to cover his bald head from losing his hair in a match against Rey Mysterio.
Yes Joey Mercury is 100% a member of the Straight Edge Society. The group consisted of Punks friends. In the Punk documentary Mercury talks about Punk paying off his house so he didn't lose it.

It's fun seeing how much I remember and you've kinda sparked some interest in wrestling still haven't watched any yet, but I bought WWE 2K22 this year because of your GM mode series. Keep it up guys!

Punk was only inducted into the ROH Hall of Fame this year because it's the first year of ROH having a HOF. The only other members so far are Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, and The Briscoes.

How did John not know the Jeff Hardy question
If I recall correctly, Punk beat Jeff in a Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight title and THAT match had the 2nd stipulation that if Punk beat Jeff, he would have to leave WWE. And I think Jeff let his contract expire and he was only going to rest up or something and was supposed to sign a new deal once he was ready to return, but he opted to sign back with TNA instead.
