The Rock's promo on Billy Gunn was one of THE most savage and funniest things he ever said on TV, and also simultaneously killed off Billy's singles career right there.

The Miz’s promo was absolutely GOATED. You can see how uncomfortable Maryse was during it, and she talks about how you don’t know what isn’t and is real in the industry. Also 7:59 he’s not from Montreal. As Jericho has put “Im from Winnipeg you idiot.”

Bryan actually recently revealed that the segment was planned by the two of them. The idea was that Miz can say whatever he wants to get under Bryan's skin and Bryan would then punch him. He'd either get fired or the company would have no choice but to clear him so that match can happen but then in the moment he felt like it had more of an impact if he just walked away.

As a personal example, my dad was military and I was born in South Carolina but moved back to my family’s homestate of Texas when I was 3, so I just consider myself to be a Texan because I don’t remember anything about SC.

In fairness to John(other John), I didn't know a lot of these either! Mostly newer(ish) ones because I stopped caring about WWE for quite some time because it just sucked!

I can tell you, up until recently with the newer Bloodline stuff, I didn’t care at all about promos, I just wanted the matches. That’s why I switched to mainly Independent and Japanese wrestling because I just wanted wrestling. I’d only check out a promo if it was trending. I can tell you everyone whose held the WWE/WWF/WWWF championship in history but I can’t tell you anything from a promo on RAW from a year ago. I barely watch weekly WWE because I want wrestling and the wrestling on those shows doesn’t matter really.
