    Just an FYI all cylinder rods have a certain amount of side to side play. Too much is bad and usually there’s a spec with allowable “slop”. But usually when it gets excessive you also get up and down slop

    I think the thingamajig next to the doomaflochie is a bit out whack and could use a whack from that bangerthingy...rsmf

    What was your compression PSI before you started working on the top end? and any idea what the correct compression psi is supposed to be? What was the psi after your work? Thanks.

      I was trying to find the old ODO but with a recent move, it is buried somewhere. It did not have a lot on the clock but it has sat a lot.

    color is normal comes from the assembly of the crank with heat ,,,,,,, check a new one, same color ..
