From someone in SE Texas the thought of rain in a cozy camper sounds like heaven! Read, eat, nap, cocktails, eat, more sleep...repeat the next day!

Looks like a typical camping day. Each day is different from the previous. That’s what keeps it interesting. Enjoy, stay safe. Thanks to you both. ❤❤❤

Without all the rain and snow of our 4 season state, people wouldn't be able to enjoy the lakes and rivers.

I admire you guys. You handled the rain and bugs in several potential campgrounds but you didn't give up and go home. A lot of people would have. You were smart not to stay overnight in the sites where it was raining and buggy. The whole point of camping (at least to me) is to be able to side outside of your vehicle, tent, or whatever you have, and enjoy nature. Ya'll have such a good and positive attitude and handle these setbacks so well. You always have fun together no matter what you're doing.

To this day I still get nervous driving the great Mackinaw bridge! I love that you show such great parts of Michigan

Unfortunately I live in Oklahoma. What I wouldn't give for rain and 61 degrees. And yes, Amelia you are the view. Your smile is infectious. This was a fun video, keep 'em comin' !!

I like to camp for at least a week at a time.
Thiw allows for good and bad weather days and still have a great camping experience.

I have watched your video twice . To see the rain and heat the thunder is awesome. I live close to Wichita Kansas and we have not had anything down here but sprinkles for 2 months. I watch the weather every day hoping for rain. Send it this way please

Very cool ferry ride. The only times we’ve been on a ferry was the Peel Ferry crossing Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas. It’s great to see y’all back in the camper!

Thermacells work great to keep the mosquitoes away. Well worth the investment.

I always enjoy when you guys keep it real and show what a true day is like. So many others wouldn’t have shown the true reality in a day in the life of a full time nomad.
As always, stay safe out there…..
PS as others have said, invest in some thermacell’s for the skeeters

We do need to get some thermacells! They’re bad this time of year… Thanks for the comment Mike!

Can you guys do a video about how is the availability’s with finding a camp site with a truck camper. Pro’s and cons. Can you get a tent sit and leave your camper on the truck if there is no RV sites. Lots of questions. Trying to convince someone to get a truck camper vs a class C or trailer.

This has felt like it's been one of the rainiest summers ever in Michigan at least in the last 30 years. Flooding some areas downstate. It's always a bit of a downer when 3 different storms roll through in one day. Since you were already past the Les Cheneaux Islands, Straits State Park may have been an option, it's got lots of tree cover and you may have been able to get a great foggy view of the Mighty Mac the next morning, with a freighter passing under the Bridge in the fog too. Or a really pretty sunrise from the direction you just came from 😊

Don’t react to much to the rain, (running in the rain) Barkley will pick that up and be scared when the rain hits the camper.

What skillets are yall using? Are they ceramic and stainless on the bottom for induction compatible? Love that you can remove the handles!

    • @conniewaite1371
      @conniewaite1371 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

They are Carote,I got a small set to use for camping.they are lite aluminum but have a very slippery surface,do not use metal utensils on them.they heat fast and wipe clean.they wont work on induction tho, only st.steel or cast iron will work on induction

Eating garlic or taking a garlic supplement (not the unscented form) helps keep mosquitoes away.

I moved from my native Upper Midwest to the desert Southwest partly because of my hate of mosquitoes and humidity and I’ve never looked back…
