  • In this video, we talk about the different aspects of the LFO or Mod section on the Moog Minitaur analog synthesizer. The Moog Minitaur has one LFO but two different destinations for the LFO, pitch and filter.

    Can I use the LFO to produce some kind of side-chain movement kind of bass? Like on many of today house/edm song?

    • @Ponchy

      That’s more of an lfo modulating the envelope thing but you can definitely sync the lfo rate via an external midi clock.

      @@Ponchy I tried and it seems to work. Do you mean the LFO modulating the filter envelope at right rate? Because to me it sound like the best solution for what I intended.

    I want to buy this beast for live gig. But I wonder about pitch stability, do you find the pitch is quite stabil?

    • @Ponchy
      @Ponchy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes definitely as long as you calibrate it and it depends on the temperature changes too just like any analog voltage controlled oscillator.

    I have the minitaur going into my daw via usb and audio. Sounds great but whenever I try to mess with the mod section it does not work. The LFO rate, pitch or filter don’t work when connected to my daw, Any idea why this is?

      Hmm not sure. I haven’t had any problems like this but it’s possible it could be your daw overriding the controls through the MIDI over USB. Are you using Ableton?
