Dilshan is the cricketer who played the Dilscoop. It's different in that the other scoops are away from the line of your body
Brendon "Baz" McCullum, who did several of the scoops at the beginning of the video, was a local of mine here in Dunedin, New Zealand (I used to see him and his brother Nathan - also a cricketer - around town occasionally), He now coaches the English national team. The style of attacking cricket that McCullum promoted is now known as "Bazball". A variant of it was later perfected by Tillekeratne Dilshan (hence "Dil-scoop" for Dilshan). With the Dil-scoop, the player stays directly behind the ball, giving him more control of the shot. As to shoulder injuries, you're right - rotator cuff injuries are fairly common in cricket.
That's Brendon McCullum, current coach of England. He scored 158* in the first ever IPL match, which, according to many, was an important reason for making the IPL the mega-league that it is today.
'Duck-in-line' is genius indeed
Sri Lankan cricketer Dilshan used to play that scoop and he was so good at it that they named the shot after him as 'Dilscoop'. It's generally the scoop played when the ball is in line with the body and it goes right over your head
Shaun tait 95+ mph & McCullum scoop shot😮😮😮
Duck in line was genius indeed
But it is naked dilscoop bcoz of dilshan who invented it
Dilscoop- the name is dedicated to the creator Dilshan from sri lanka
Dilscoop is where the ball travels in 90°. Sometimes plus or minus 5 degrees. Superscoop has no limitations it can travel anywhere from 90 to 120 or 60 to 90 degrees
Unfortunately a lot of power shots have kind of disappeared from cricket. Miss a good old double step.
@@isteufar4461 yeha fr
There was ad series from Pepsi, involving these shots and players, showing players comedic inspirations to play those shots
Dilshan played that scoop a lot and not many were regularly playing it at the time. So it came to be popular as the Dilscoop. But technically there isn't a strict difference between the different types of scoops.
First One player who was hitting scoop again and again was Brendom McCullum ,he also played like this in Test Cricket ,holds the record of fastest century in test cricket in just 54 balls , right now he is coach of England
dilshan invented the scoop its called dilscoop but then people have thier own versions of it like ab devilliers use to hit it in both directions to fine leg to third man ,mcculum use to hit powerfully ,sky use to hit it while standing ,butler hit it very cleanly
Dilscoop- Named after him, T. Dilsan. one of the riskiest shot, those days nobody tried and he mastered it).
Upper Cut- Masterd by Master Blaster himself.
Switch hit- First mastered by K Pietersen.
Superscoop - B. McCullum (as dengerous as ab or gayle) playing those 155+mph against dengerous J. Tait are insane to cricket lovers.
The Dilscoop is named after Dilshan, the first guy to play it. He was on the video there. The difference between that and the other "scoop" shots is that he stays right in line with the ball instead of getting out of the way. It's a very difficult shot to play.
They didn't put in Steve Smith whipping the ball in between his legs that went for 4. Crazy shot, similar to Nick Kyrios in the tennis hitting the ball between his legs
Dilscoope is a shot inovated by sri lankan player dilshan
DIL SCOOP is the original version of the first clip that McCullum plays. Tilakratne Dilshan Trumped many teams with its use towards the end of innings.
Love ur reaction guys
@@Princerandiaulaad thanks family!
Dilscoop is named on srilankan player dilshan who used to play this shot and invented this scoop shot . slightly differnt way to play the scoop shot from traditional scoop shot.. Thats why they named this scoop shot to dil-scoop
Sri Lankan cricketer ''Dilshan" invented this shot so they named it after him as the ''Dil Scoop'' and also most of the scoops were played against Australians bowlers in this video. 😂
Dil-Scoop is named after T.Dilshan a SriLankan batter, he was quite known for that scoop since he ducked and scooped straight behind, which is also quite risky coz the ball could also ricochet off the bat to your head.. and btw, Duck-in-line is quite a good abbreviation you came up with, genius!!
Brandon Macullum - FOUNDER OF BAZBALL
M.S.Dhoni - FOUNDER OF HELICOPTER SHOT
Well all these shots look so nice and innovative if and when they come off. You have no idea how many times Batsmen do these stupid things and land up throwing their wicket away. Probably in the context of the game when things are desperate I guess call for desperate measures.
Dilscoop is a shot created by TM Dilshan. This shot was naamed after his name.
Please react to vivo ipl ab de villers moments there are few videos uploaded by vivo ipl
Ducked in line made sense 😂
Brendan McCullum is “Baz” - ie current England coach and creator of “Bazball”.
8:08 the God of cricket
You are moving forward in your cricket learning, keep in mind that for every different ball bowled there is the right and wrong shot to play. However T20 and this video has somewhat complicated this simple rule.
You couldn't have been lost in these being technical. When they were played even the commentators, ex-players were all lost.
SUPLA SHOT
awesome reaction
Bit confused by this guys because it says you're premiering this right in the middle of your Jets vs 49ers live stream unless you're expecting the Jets to be so weak the whole game will be over in an hour!
@@B-A-L so this is a premiere for a prerecorded reaction video. We post it during the live stream in hope that once it is over the people that watch it will join us live and come talk about it
Most of the creative shots are generally premeditated. The batsman makes up his mind even before the ball is delivered.
Hellow guys, A to Z Cricket here
Hope u both are doing good and well...
Whats up man! Hope you are doing well too!
@@RealFansSports yup..👍
you fucking genius . "duck in line" it is . but named after a Sri Lankan player named Dilshan . he used to play this shot .
React on best fielding efforts
React to brendon McCullum inning vs Australia in 2015 world cup league match. You won't be disappointed.
Super
Abd missing
Helicopter shot created by MS Dhoni friend not. By him
We know Dhoni created it
Abde Villiers
Abd and sky both are missing.
@@Shell-_-Abraham what type of innovative shots have they done?
Your friends will be flumoxed by your use of the word flumoxed.
@@rickb.4168 😂😂 they’d probably just ignore me if I used that word
Wtf you did a video on innovativ3 shots and dudnt mention AB DIVILLIERS the father of all innovative shots in cricket,,😅
We didn’t make the video lol. We do need to go back and watch some more ABD
First learn cricket.. watch matches....and then watch this stuff...don't be greedy for views
We have watched around 20-30 games. Atleast 15 of them have been live on this channel with cricket experts as well. Tell us one thing in this video that makes you think that we have not watched any cricket or do not understand it.
No one is greedy for views. Actually someone directly suggested for us to react to this video, because they wanted to hear our thoughts on it.
